I've just read about the speed force on google and found out that anybody who the Flash makes physical contact with will be protected by the speed force aura. That's why they don't suffer organ damage afterwards.
However I think Flash has to willingly do that, like in the New 52 where he make a whole plane vibrate so it didn't crashed, but needed to consciousness transfer the Speed Force to the plane and its passengers
DCU just never used that concept.
Let's pray they do that in rebooted universe because it's really painful to watch

I suddenly realized it can be a perfect gameplay mechanic for a Flash video game. Not necessarily food, but imagine an "energy" bar that's going down when you're this fast. Of course, for the player the flash will move at normal speed but everything else around you seems frozen.
I think there's a similar mechanic in Dishonored.
I would make it so that the argument of the game is that some othe speedster is tampering with the speed force and making him "slower" thus having to ration his energy somehow not being able to always keep flash time 🤔
@@arielw8079 I barely know anything about the Flash lore and rules so the energy meter seemed good enough for me, but whatever works.
I think a good way to handle a flash game would be being able to switch between a sort of “normal” gameplay where you just run super fast as the flash, and a “Flashtime” mode like the one you mention here where everything seems frozen while you run at normal-looking speeds
@@setherfluous I'm not so sure about the "normal" mode, it could either be too fast that controlling the flash would be a nightmare and bad ux, or not fast enough that hardcore fans would complain.
@@ethai1 You can't make him fast enough and enjoyable to the gameplay, i think it should look fast and have a lot of special attacks that are super fast but that don't freeze everything around him, I'm thinking something very similar to Spiderman ps4 and it's finishing moves, and flash time could be handled as a special move that you trigger with r3+l3 like in Gow or Jedi survivor

I can see why some people didn't like this scene in particular but to me it seems like something you could see in a cartoon show, the music is over the top, the slow motion is on point and the way Barry moves and acts to his surroundings makes me like this scene in the movie quite a bit.
Idk the vibes are off man
It feels like it is just too similar to the type of humour and style X-Men did for Quicksilver
@@ScharneckCB and the humor is bad, and the speed effects notably worse than the epic Quicksilver scenes.
Honestly, this scene would work better if it was cartoon. The distortion look so bad on live action. And the actual physical actions is so ridiculous it's un-compelling.
In x-men, the vfx artist make humor look much more grounded and aesthetichly pleasing. It doesn't need to rely on distortion effects. You can easily imagine people would act like Quicksilver if they can also stop time.
The scene itself I enjoyed, but visual choice - if it in fact was a choice - was very off putting. I cringed at seeing how those babies looked during this thing.

Giving a food limit to keep a check on his speed is something CW should have done long ago

He said in the first few episodes of season 1 but they never put that much emphasis on this concept after s1. Wells or thawne pointed out why he casually fell unconscious , obviously due to insufficient glucose in his body

A lot people is complaining about this scene because he’s not fast enough Barry is clearly in the early stages of his flash journey, where he possesses speed but has not yet reached his maximum potential. He has recently acquired the ability to phase through objects and is also learning various other powers. Furthermore, if you read his new comic a story set several months after the justice league movie, it demonstrates his progress in mastering his metabolism and the ability to manipulate time to some extent.

Jokes aside, I do find this scene rather interesting, both from just a genuine enjoyment perspective, and also from a perspective of why it was included, but not for the reasons that other people talk about.
Sure, the CGI is a bit dodgy, the music is a bit much at times, and just the literal events that are happening on screen are a bit questionable, but I do find the whole thing about The Flash running low on energy to be interesting. It was fun seeing his energy run low and time start to speed up until he finally managed to eat that burrito and then time slowed down again. The thing is though, this scene with me more sense if it was placed at the end of the movie because then his whole calorie thing would actually seem like a setup for the climax of the movie. Instead, this feels like a setup since it's at the beginning, but the gimmick is never used again which is a bit disappointing.

The scene’s pacing, direction, and background music were horrible, but the premise of an exhausted Flash needing to eat snacks to save several falling people was very cool. It would’ve been far better if he had gotten a ways into his plan when his superspeed starts failing, and he struggles to choose babies until realizing the vending machine can buy him enough time, foreshadowing his primary moral struggle to save everyone within reach. I guess they wanted it breezy like the Quicksilver scenes in X-men, but this premise really didn’t call for it.
