There was actually nuance, vulnerability, and Sasha Calle pulled me in with her performance. Feminine, beautiful, vulnerable yet tough as fu@%.. She deserves a real shot at this role again.
She fits the character so well. We all know supergirl was originally depicted as a long flowing hair bodacious blonde in the comics but, I could also picture her as a dark haired brunette because Superman /Kal-El always had dark hair. In the multiverse, anything is possible .

This was a pretty damn good movie overall. But the undertone that this movie isn't going anywhere is pervasive throughout and that's a shame. Sasha Calle, who I'd never heard of and I like that, was fantastic and definitely needs more screentime. Keaton always nails it. I've been a fan of his since Night Shift.
I love that reference to the Flashpoint comic when Barry tries to get his powers but fails. but Supergirl uff when she appears it reflects that there is still hope later when she carries Barry and telling him that "I have you" (as he did with her when they went to look for Superman) I loved it a lot. I hope Sasha Calle stays in the new DCU because she has a lot of potential with that role and Andy Muschietti chose the actress excellent ❤💙
I watched Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox animated film. Flash catches on fire after he is struck by lightiing! (trying to get his powers back) I believe Batman put it out after a minute or so. That was extremely disturbing!!
Ngl I was impressed by this scene. In the flashpoint comic this scene makes no sense as batman just electrocutes him twice and it randomly works the second time. Plus in the book there is no reason for batman to believe Barry even has powers after the first time he gets fried. The second flash, the immediate aftermath and supergirl just make this scene way better.
I must admit, that was deeply disturbing seeing Barry smoking and black tinged after being electrocuted and struck by lighting. That brought a tear to my eye!
I see a potential here between 2 actresses. We bring back Melissa Benoist as Supergirl and have Sasha Calle as Power Girl or reverse. But I don't care, as long as we have Supergirl on the new universe, I see it as an absolute win.

Instead of him killing the joker Batman did and Lois never lost her baby to the joker/Superman seeing her as doomsday because of the fear kryptonite toxin But Lois and Superman’s kid was named Lara Lane Kent and literally this supergirl is IDENTICAL to Sasha’s supergirl in this movie. It’s incredible to see an actual comic book version of a character come to life in an exact detail like that

SC's performance was great as Supergirl. Hopefully she comes back like Margo Robbie did for Harley Quinn.

This is one of two of my favorite scenes from The Flash. The other being Nicholas Cage as Superman. But this scene really gave me Zack Snyder vibes.
