This was so helpful pilgrims progress was so expensive and I was gonna bite the bullet and just found the other book you recommended instead thank you!
Super helpful! We love and have used two of the SCM BIBLE/geo/history studies but I plan to use this one next year. We’re in CC but we use SCM at home to flesh out our studies. With CC, we study history in 3 cycles with American history as one whole year so I plan to use the SCM early history for our first term and then the modern one for our second term.
You’re welcome! I noticed there weren’t too many reviews on these when I was looking into it and I love to have an idea of what things look like! We love this history curriculum! We are about to start the next one in the cycle! I’ll have a review on that at some point also!
Thank you so much! This flip through was so informative! Definitely so helpful in deciding to purchase this myself. This curriculum is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have a 3rd, 6th and 8 grader. 😊
Oh yay! I'm so glad I was able to help you make a decision. It is so hard to purchase curriculum without being able to get a good look into it. Definitely go watch those videos that Sonya has on the history, the video about making the cycle work for where your kids are at right now was really helpful. Hope you enjoy this like we have!
Sorry I just saw this, I am currently without a computer. Typically the readings don’t take very long at all. My kids like me to read their grade level books out loud still too so sometimes there can be a few readings to do or I just take them and do them as read alouds at night.
What ages did you do this with? I will have an 8 year old. I'm really interested but afraid to make the leap! We have been using Story of the World but there is so much back and forth he gets confused
My kiddos were 6 and 8 when I started this. They both have loved the read alouds and such that go with it. We are almost finished with it and I am planning to get the next one for this coming year. You can find these used on Facebook groups and such and alot of the books on thrift books as well so you can save money that way seeing as there are alot of things to buy but we have really enjoyed this.
We used Notgrass 50 States this year and will be continuing that this next year. I wanted to tie it in with the early American history and such. For Bible we used Abeka flash a card series Bible.
Super helpful! Thank you for sharing.😊

Approximately how long do lessons take? Going back and forth between this or Heart of Dakota. Great detailed video!

so is the world history for each week the same time period as the american history?
yes, that way you learn what is going on around the world at the same time :)

@Blessings at Home thank you so much! I appreciate the review and I'll check on FB! Great idea
What Geography and Bible do you use?
