    I'm planning to move to Thailand from the United States. I currently own a 2021 Versys 650. I'm not planning to export my bike. After being overseas I see that there are VERY few 650cc or larger bikes around. I'm looking at this bike. The Suzuki 250 sport bike, or the Honda CB350RS. Smaller bikes are a blast! This one looks soooooooo comfortable, like my 650 Versys.
    By the way. THANK YOU for reviewing this bike in ENGLISH. There are SO many reviews available but when you can only make out 5 words every minute from the vlogger you get disinterested quickly in the video.

Just have to say the Indian highway and road seems very exciting... random trucks and tractors stopped in the fast lane... check... people straddling 2 lanes quite often.... check... people walking across a high-speed highway... check... random people on motorcycles wearing no helmet... check... very exciting!

    I took a test ride and found it very nice and easy to handle, maneuver, riding for the first time and felt like it is my own bike and I as if I am using it for months together, Ergonomics is also too good. I am 5'4" and had few doubts but even when it is a sure tip toe for me but never ever felt scary at any time and drove on highway, city traffic etc. Only hing is the foot peg sometimes hindered , may be fo r my height. But apart from it nothing. At traffic signal , by mistake unknowing I launched it and saw that I did it without knowing and feeling , it was launched from 3rd gear onward and didn't felt it. So is pick up torque and smoothness. Even in 1st gear it is not like a beast pushing you like a horse riding (like FZ25) Very nice and good, but the gears are not that accurate, like FZ25 and suspension slightly stiffer than FZ (FZ suspension/brakes/Gears are better) and 6th gear is not at all missed for V Strom like very much mfeel like missing in FZ25. Not Offload suitable is mentioned by other reviewers is due to normal front suspension travel only. Another thing I liked is that its tank top is almost Flat and better way , kind of lower and you can comfortably use a Tank bag unlike other bikes having toll tank top.

    I test rode this bike couple of weeks ago and completely loved it. I would buy it as a daily commuter and occasional long rides. What about side wind turbulence, as it is a tall bike ? I am considering to buy Scram 411 (as it feels more nimble than Himalayan), but the tube tyre is a concern for me. So, what you guys suggest, Scram 411 or V-storm?

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
      @SHIFTINGGEARScom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Cross winds do affect the bike a little. Noticed it when at high speeds.
      Yes, tube tyres are a criminal waste of time. Avoid. You can do a lot more with those 30 minutes and extra money, each time a puncture occurs.

    • @Farhan_049
      @Farhan_049 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think air-cooled 350cc or higher displacement engines don't like city traffic! I've checked a lot of reviews about those bikes and everybody complains about overheating in city traffic. Especially the Himalayan; people say if it reaches a certain level of heat, it doesn't even turn on until it is completely cool!
      That's where the V-Strom comes in. It's liquid cooled and is 80% made for city roads and 20% for mountains, deserts, mud and floods!
      My concern is with my height - 5'10". I don't know if I will be able to flat-foot it during traffic.

    Geniniue review brother! Good to see your vidoes and detailed and great comments ! Quality of the video is top notch ! I own a 2016 model Classic 350. Planning to buy a new bike, so in search of many bikes which is comfortable for both rider and pillion (wife) and I finalised Himalayan ( i afraid what if same issues like my classic350) and V Storm 250. I had Domi400 also in list, I'm 5.7 height. I want to keep a bike for longer period, should be relaiable, to office, weekend touring,pillion seat comfort, milage, handling in all these suzuki has a tick mark. So I feel v storm is better bike. But still confusion because its 2.5L in hometown, lot of money ! Need a reliable bike that can stay with me for longer. Could you please show some light bro!

    • @SHIFTINGGEARScom
      @SHIFTINGGEARScom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This Suzuki will indeed do everything just right, the brand is known for reliability. Seat space for pillion is genuinely decent for long rides. For dynamic riding, this will be better than the Himalayan and Classic for sure.
      if you are confused between Classic & Himalayan, I would recommend the new Classic if you are not going to go off-the-road. But the rider seat of the Himalayan is one of the best, on any two-wheeler in the country.

      Recently came back from riding the H’Ness CB350 in Ladakh, and it did very well. Now if you’re going to take it easy in general, go for the Honda. But if your long distance touring will include lot of highway time and some mild trails, then consider the Suzuki. Also the riders triangle of the V-Strom is more engaging overall. Look at our recent videos where we’re riding the Honda around the Himalayas, it’s proved to be a very capable mountain goat. As per your question, V-Strom > H’Ness.
