Moved across the country away from mom, now I am learning how to cook these meals myself that remind me of home. Thanks so much for your easy to follow pressure cooker recipes
@rackoflam Made it this past weekend and it was a winner! Everything about the recipe was great. I'm going to be using this recipe going forward. Thanks again! Keep the recipes coming.
Hi Maggie, the recipe looks amazing but do you only suggest using an Instant Pot? Could I use a normal slow cooker instead? If so, do I slow cook it on low or medium setting?
You are right to thicken the sauce with corn starch. Makes the white rice much more tastier. Your insta pot sure makes the beef and tendons melt in your mouth tasty. No fun gnawing in tough tendons. The daikon is the perfect veggie for the stew. Carrots work too. Thanks for the recipe.
Hey Maggie! Another favourite recipe. Love beef stew with daikon radish. I love it with rice, noodles or ho fun with a bit of chilli sauce or saracha sauce. Beef tendons are great as they are delicious and a bit gelatinous once cooked well. A all Time home favourite dish. Thanks again! Yum! 🥰.
Good and easy recipe I made the mistake of not boiling the the impurities out first as I thought well it's gonna get cooked either way and when I released the pressure all of the fatty gunk sprayed out and made quite the mess. It's still tasted really good but gotta make sure I do that first next time .
I appreciate you pronouncing the chinese in a real correct way instead of so many other host that make funny pronunciation of Chinese, pretending to be a westerner that bastardized chinese language.
What do you like to serve Chinese beef stew over?
Rice... Or chow mein.
Pasta. Spaghetti...
Would like beef stew served over my tongue thru the gums look out stomach here is comes. Yummy flavor town.
Love eating mine as noodle soup over flat rice noodles. Childhood fav.. Brings most nostalgic memories 🥰
Fresh rice noodles or rice

One of my favourite dishes and I also add thick carrots and a few dried orange peels to the dish. Thanks Maggie.
Yes! I add “chun pay” too when I remember 😅. Carrots sound good in the stew also!
Looks easy and amazing! Definitely going to make this. Thank you.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! I used the Korean soybean paste instead of Chu Hou sauce. It’s sooo good that we made it twice this week. 😋
Thanks for trying! So glad you enjoyed it 😊
Can you sub Dobanjian for the Chu Hou?
You are good teacher👏👍🤗🌷💪

Corn starch slurry is a must!!
I dun have instant pot. If using stove or oven, is the sauce and paste portion the same? I reckon the liquid 1 cup would need to be more?
Yes you may need more since stovetop will result in evaporation
@@rackoflam you recommend how much broth to use? 1 litre?
LOOKS YUMMY. I'll be right over
😂
I really miss this dish from childhood, what restaurant in ny makes this well?

How packed can the instant pot get while
Being still functional?
This is how my mom makes her beef stew.
Can you please do a video on how to choose daikon, Asian eggplants and Asian greens thx
Yum. My so tender so savory so mouth watering.
Just drool thinking about it
Amazing food. Great channel!!!
Thank you!
So nice!
How many servings is this recipe?
Gonna try this over weekend but I only have stove oven. Do I reduce to simmer? How long I let sit?
I suggest using a pressure cooker on a stove top. Leaving it to simmer will literally take hours to tenderize the meat
My favorite
Can i substitute with lamb?
I havent tried with lamb but worth a shot!
I Didn't see when is the sesame oil added, but when I checked the description shown the ingredients add some sesame oil.
Sorry, I forgot to film it
I don’t have a instant pot, how long do I cook the stew for if i cook it on the stove???
forever dude

😂
can I cook it without using Daikon? not a big fan of it.
WOW.... That's Bomb Diggitty BOMB !!!
😁
The Daikon are not in the recipe instructions. 😉
MUST be served with rice (not noodles) 😁
I like them with noodles too! 😝
