Thanks! Yeah it is a mix of parts. We replaced a few steering pieces on the front end and they matched up to f150 parts.

Looks a lot like my 79' F250 with 429 and C6 tansplants. I've had it for about 15 years. It's about the same color and look, but not "fixed up", yet. Just got it tuned up and driving after about six years in storage. Love my old Ford.

I agree it does look like a 79. We always liked the square headlights better on these trucks so when we redid the truck we bought all the pieces for a 79 front end. But the cab, and title, are 1978.

Square headlights was a mid-year 78 change! My 78 1/2 bronco has square lights as well.

@@richardmitton4115 that is correct! I had a 78 for a short while that was an earlier truck and it had the round lights.

That could happen. We got a good deal on the 429, and my brother has always wanted to put a 429 in it so at this point that is the plan. But a 460 is never out of the question so maybe.
