Looking forward to getting blinded at night by more of these here in FL
I’m pretty sure Florida here is where all of these exist 😋 I’m near the Miami area and there still all over the place.
@@EndeavorsDnB LOL, Miamian here as well and for sure agree with you!
Fellow Floridian and have to say that Ford truck and Jeep owners are the worst offenders of blinding people with light bars.
too bad them anti glare high beams havent made it onto US made cars yet...they make a huge difference...
I do not understand why the Ford SD (for the last what, 2 or 3 gens) do the dual headlight setup even in low beams? It's blinding nonetheless. And then some walnut puts projector LED bulbs into the reflector housing and then it's like a poor man's LASIK on the road.
I am so glad column shifters are coming back into popularity. They are just cooler than the console mounted ones.
The HDs have always been column shift. I don't know if there is a half ton that offers column shift, but it is the best place to have a shifter for an automatic.
@@rich7447i think it used to be all column, in recent years it been the lower duty trucks with the center shifter and higher ones with column
@@rich7447Silverado/Sierra 1500s with the front bench seat always have the column shift.
@@a_dog_with_sushi4250 isn't it opposite? At least with the F-150 all the lower trims have a column shifter, it's once you get into the Platinum and all those trims they're console mounted
all things considered 20mpg for a vehicle this large with that big of an engine is quite impressive
That low of mpg defeats the purpose of owning a diesel. Well I suppose unless your towing
My 2017 averages 23
The 5’5” construction company owner needs this so he can order around his help from up high.
Everyone who can afford this is is exactly that😂
Yes sir 🫡
The 24 year old assistant supervisor 😂
From an underpowered new Japanese EV to an OVERPOWERED and massive American DIESEL Luxury Truck 😋 can’t say we don’t get variety here on The Topher channel. 😋
Totally agree with you
I was gonna say the new look does have an old school look to it while still being modern. Just a beautiful truck.
Until people drive a large displacement diesel pickup, they can't appreciate how much power is under their right foot. 20 mpg is more than acceptable for a vehicle this size and the aerodynamics of a brick. I find it odd that Ford has gone to a single color option interior on their trims above the King Ranch.
Platinum offers black and carmelo interior. Limited is only available in one color.
@@rich7447 You're correct. My error
@@weirdshibainu The interior in the Limited is my least favorite and it drives me crazy that so many vehicles and trims only offer black now.
500hp for a diesel that's insane 😮
It’s a more powerful engine than most semi trucks have. More reliable, probably not. But it is a beast of an engine.
@@TranceFurAs much torque as (or more) most semi trucks too.
@@teeteetuu94 Most modern semi's are pushing 2,000lb ft.
@@SkinnySkinch the latest volvo fh16 780 has about 2800lb ft
I agree, I used to think diesels were slow but not anymore
Did that infotainment screen take a full minute and a half to boot after start up? That's pretty brutal lol
Can't wait to get groceries and drop the kids off in this
My former insurance agent has one of these and doesn't surprise me. Could of just bought an f150 king ranch but naw gotta go one step up.

I love that this is just a more or less casual truck in the US, you know, get groceries, drop your kids of to school. Meanwhile here in Germany you need a literal second license, as this is considered a truck (as in semi truck) here because of it's weight. So American I love it.

The new super duty drives like a car compared to the previous generations. Really a smooth ride!
It’s unbelievable that trucks cost this much considering the average income is $50k. It’s like they want us in debt

glad to see the 6.7 power stroke in a 2023 f250 and not a crappy 6 cylinder diesel
the cummins is a 6 cylinder diesel
Semi trucks use 6-cylinder turbo diesels, lol.
@@brq44came here to say that
@@brq44modern cummins suck

The cup holder thing is really cool
At work this past month it’s been the first time I’ve driven any diesel truck and those mirrors and height you sit in really do make it easy to see where you’re going and backing into. I’ve only really driven cars I got a mustang and a Camry so from going to that to a f550 with a huge flat bed it’s a pretty big jump but damn I feel pretty confident where I’m going
I love how it looks exactly like an XLT with the chrome package on the outside.
It would be nice to see these go offroad and also a towing test.
Towing test yes but I think these are a bit too heavy to just go off-roading
@randytran8804 agree with the offroad. You'll need to modify these trucks but then you'll have to pay a good buck to do that 😉
@@rampagedingoor you can buy a tremor one and take it off reading
@@mackharris6536 paying a 100k for a truck is insane though
@@mackharris6536 you can but I feel like paying 100k for a heavy duty truck to off road it is super risky though.
Now I see why ppl love flyingg in these trucks on the highway !! I definitely would love to hear this truck with a catless exhaust setup to hear how it opens up nd the turbo/diesel whistle
This is regular truck for daily basis in Texas!
Bout time it has a new interior.
What an amazing review, thank you so much for this amazingly thorough review. Loved the driving experience, I really want one of these now!
Ah yes, the people runner over 5000
That is such a cool name for a truck. It’s like calling a Toyota sienna, a soccer mom’s hellcat.
That's a cool name? For who? An insurrectionist? 😂💙✌️
NOTE: Limited is not just above King Ranch, Platinum stands between those two
Great looking truck.. great video!!
I’d like that auto cruise feature on longer trips.
I have it on my Mustang, makes highway travel a breeze. Not having to maintain the distance between me and the person in front of me is extremely nice.
Glad to see this truck...love these ❤
People don't seem to realize that with those max recline seats, they really come into their own when you remove the headrest and then flatten them after moving the seat bottom forward very far flattening them will make the seat back of the front seat connect seamlessly with the seat bottom of the rear seat in the second row. Seats that turn into beds and vehicles is the number one most effective cure for DUIs amongst people that like to drive obviously the other cure is something we don't like here and that is self driving cars the real cure for people that like to do things themselves is having a seat that turns into a bed in your vehicle so many vehicles have this functionality and don't advertise it people never even realize that their car has seats that turned into comfortable beds, also if your wife or girlfriend is pissing you off and you wanna just get away from her you can go sleep in the car literally. I think it is one of the most important interior features to me; there is nothing more relaxing then laying back in a comfortable seat, fully reclined, and a car with the engine, turned off, listening to rain, come down on the roof of your vehicle, it puts me right to sleep , heck that's what I'm doing right now. I'm literally sleeping in my car as we speak.
I like the 2024 King Ranch and Platinum. But I like the 2017-2022 a lot more.
Same
This has a better interior but the old one looks better
I like the interior and grill on these 24s but everything else on the 17-22
That interior is insane
That suspension is brutal on those Michigan roads! lol! For all those throwing rocks and saying an F150 would do…. I have to go. Super duty due to trailers I tow only once or twice per month, but I want to tow safely. I would LOVE to go back to a half ton due to the fought suspension on the daily, and the parking and turning radius etc, but won’t trade my family’s towing safety or mine for more comfortable ride. Have tried 1/2 ton multiple times and always have to come back super duty after a white knuckle tow. To each their own.
13:55 what is making ticking noise?
the tires
The engine, Ford put in a new clock-like timing system that synchronizes the degrees of arcseconds from the sun to get the most accurate time. It's really cool. It makes that ticking noise when calibrating though
Actually no it’s the road with a lot of small bumps on it.
@@DudethatGrossbro 😂
20 years ago you could get a base 250 for under 30k
Base F250 XL starts at $45k right now. $30k in the year 2004 adjusted for inflation is about $49k now. But, I do get your point, it seems like everything is overpriced these days.
And eggs were 50 cents a dozen ....this is twenty years later ..
Yeah, that was 20 years ago through. Things change.
*doesnt account for inflation at all.
Thanks Biden
16:53 this is a luxury tower not off roader, as you mention. I feel that 8000+ lbs curb weight is not a great situation for off roading anyway as you might sink to the bumpers in any muddy situation. SWB Tacoma is nimble and light for off road. Off road suspension eats into payload and towing rating big time. Love this truck and great review!
Nice drive demo. Thanks.
Hey friends I love driving my 2022 f350 drw ultimate black King Ranch 18 mpg without the trailer 12.1 mpg with my 16 foot trailer. I am very excited 😁 to take it for a ride. I also enjoy looking at it after I wash and polish it, my English Bull Dog Lulu 8:01 loves the truck, wish I could post a photo of her. Have a fantastic day!
that boinks sounds when start up would drive me crazy after a week
Man this ford f250 are great trucks 😊
I could get a loaded mega cab ram for $86k. Still stupid expensive, but I’d rather have the simpler trusted engine. But a single cab dually tradesman for $54k is actually a truck and more my speed.
Finally I been waiting for someone to do a review on the 24 king ranch and now it’s happening
Hola amigo, gracias por el video,,que maquina hermosa,,,la suspensión es impresionante,,vi que pasaste por posos y ni siquiera vibro la cámara,,y la isonorizacion de la cabina excelente ,,..te felicito....
devs please add this to beamng, we need a modern pickup truck!!
With the new trailers they added we kinda do need a new truck with stronger freams, axles, and suspension not to say the current truck is bad at towing the new trailers, but they are pretty much at their limit. :)
By far my favorite truck
the king ranch trim really is beautiful.
Hard to see why one would choose a Cybertruck over this just from the sound alone.
90k for people who never tow
Preferably, they should place that feature in the center console that turns it into a table, as in the F150
I love this pickup but I don't have one, I hope to drive one one day
I know this f250 has a stiff suspension since it needs to have it, I was wondering if the f150 is less stiff and if you can have a more comfort ride
Beautiful Truck.
I wished this generation had the 4th gen/17-22 gauge cluster with standard gauges and a small digital screen, not the entire gauge cluster being fully digital, not a fan of that really
My step dad has a used 2017 Lariat 250 with the power stroke. 234k miles and it’s so fast. It has literally no business being as fast as it is.
My buddy has a 16 250 with a few mods in 4h he did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Insane for a 8k lb truck
love this truck.
Ford Super Duties are my favorite trucks
$90k though.
I can almost understand this price. Fully loaded, 6.7 diesel, 4000lb payload. It's the 90k half tons that are completely insane.
Luxury work truck. For what this truck can do. It's pretty amazing. If I had to pick of all the other vehicles at this price point. It would be this. Minus the diesel.
2024 ford f450 high output next.. very nice content
This is nearly $10,000 more than it was for 2022 models BTW, lol. Probably the biggest YOY increase in the history of pickup truck sales.
People want to feel "important" so they will spend the money to impress strangers.
@@fit4ya1975 that's probably such a small subset of the people who buy high trim/expensive vehicles. People just want creature comforts and nicer quality materials. On the flipside, people who don't have the money or are unwilling to spend it seem to have a habit of badmouthing those that do- it just comes across as jealousy, whether intended or not.
@@Slythey Well, I have a 2020 Denali 2500 Duramax. Got it for 70K brand new. Now they want $90+ for the same truck. Its a ripoff, they are not worth that much period. I do agree some people badmouth, I get that sometimes too, but when i say my truck is 4 years old they are like.. "Oh"
Beautiful machine!
Simply elegant
I’m thinking about ordering this exact spec except another 350 like my 19. King ranch chrome package glacier grey.
The previous model had major issues on the 6.7 Ford swapped the engine after just 27k , the second engine kept blowing its cooler as well as the same issues with eco boost engine in the end work got the state lemon law to buy the 3 back , and ordered long range lightning, these have been a real bad buy two less than 2k blue it’s coolant lines we suspect like that from factory, fully loaded and trailer we got 1 kw for 1 mile they ended up getting regulated to local repair issues when I left they had ordered a ram but didn’t know what model , Ford really need to fix these issues while in development like someone else said there is just yo many Mandatory recalls
and that is why you buy a '97 7.3 powersmoke with the 5-speed manual. Use the money you saved for a build/tune and a nicer interior and you'd still have tens of thousands left over.
@@anymous1485it was use for mobile signal installing and maintenance all across the north east to north Caroline many had 500,000 on the clock after 36 months
At that price I’d have to bump down to the 7.3. Would that save $10;000 plus.
Those "savings" would vanish when you go to resell that gasser
Would you like to review my 2017 Maserati Gran Turismo 4.7L MC?
Ford was smart with the HVAC on the F250 but shit the bed for the mustang
Should do the Cummins 2500 h/o now for comparisons between the two trucks
The transmission and body will fall apart on the cummins during testing.
Sounds a lot like a school bus under acceleration. Maybe its just me lol
They do use some of these engines in school busses so that would be right! A school bus can hold a lot more people though 🫣
Brand new cowboy hat optional?
0-60?
You will ever try a Cupra?
Very quiet
Does it come with the rust feature?
its aluminum .

Mark up for those cringe worthy computer screens. If people pay it, they will continue charge ridiculous amounts. Some see bright colors and fake hightech gadgets and they rip that checkbook out like an old west gunslinger.
$90K and Ford can't design instrumentation that doesn't look like 7th graders did it with bar graphs for tach & speedo??!!! The rest of the truck is great but they really did a stupid thing on the instruments!
Copy Porsche if the designers don't know how to do it!!!
The good news is, the type that is likely to coal roll you, can't afford it.
Definitely a nice lazy boy on wheels but not only is the warning chimes unnecessary but annoying and you'd think Ford would at least give you the option to turn them off such as the alarm chimes to unlock/lock the doors. You don't need a feedback chime if it's not necessary, most of the time your aware or at least you should be, that your doors are open. But I digress. The other disappointment is the price that these have risen to and the percentage of people who primarily use these trucks for a self absorbed status rather then utility is unfortunately too high, the beds are mostly unused and the truck barely does any real towing to justify needing a 500hp/1200tq diesel motor. If you need a vehicle like this there is very few that offer similar capabilities as this truck. Just use them for their intended purposes or your just foolishly wasting your money especially at $90k ✌🏽❤️
V8 is a rare configuration on a diesel engine typically it's an inline 6
V8 is very common for American pick up trucks
