When I mill, I use plastic felling wedges. They open the cut more and if you hit one, it doesn't destroy your chain. Not that carpentry wedges will damage either.
we made wedges out of scrap wood, mahogany scraps at that, , first wedge goes in the end where you begin the cut after you move about a foot in,, and then about every 2 feet or so after that, on both sides, hold that saw kerf open, makes it a lot easier.
we made an aux oiler to place on the far end, my Nephew dilled a short bolt to place in a hole we drilled in the bar, and then used plastic tube to hook to the oil tank made from the gas tank of a small gas leaf blower. the extra oil really makes a difference in very dry old wood, the oiler on the saw even at full blast setting lacks the capacity to lube the back side of the bar in real old dry wood.
Absolutely love seeing all your videos. This is cool cant wait to see more. Thats gonna be a handy setup for sure with making slabs for your benches and all those other fun creations you guys do. So excited

If you haven’t already don’t forget to punch in the pin on the oiler on the bottom of the saw so it was oil full blast.
Thank you Tim, definitely a must for sure. 👍😁
