  • I did 30 days of deep, focused work. Now you're questioning yourself, ok, so you went to work and just did your job? Not really, is way beyond just doing your job. Is about becoming good at your job, is about becoming an expert in your field and Deep work is one of the most successful ways to do so.
First give away on the channel. If you want an amazing book called Deep Work by Cal Newport you can follow the steps at the end of this message.
Deep work is about those successful people who are superstars in their field. This people who can concentrate on cognitively demanding tasks and have an intentional use of their time.
It's about highly performing people who have a good balance between work and life.
The author of Deep work is Cal Newport and he's a guy without social media who still managed to reach perhaps millions of people with his work. His secret? Deep work.
I also aspire to be a superstar in my field and slowly slowly I believe I can do this if I'm intentional with my time and I focus on my priorities. The moment I put my hands on the book I was fascinated. It's a PhD work so is well researched and written. Is well structured and it gives clear guidelines on how to be an expert at what you're doing. I definitely recommend any books that Cal wrote. All of them are amazing.
In this video you will see the following:
    1. Intro to video
    2. What is Deep Work
    3. The plan for 30 days of deep work
    4. Me naked
    5. Weekly update
I had ups and downs during this challenge. Even though I apply these techniques for several years already, I didn't have in a long time 30 days where I had to do deep work which means hard work.
As Cal Newport is saying, is not deep work if is not hard or is not without 0 distractions.
Deep work is about dealing with the hardest work that you have, the work the requires the most mental power while eliminating all distractions such as social media or your phone.
If you find it interesting and you would like to find out more about the topic, you can actually have the chance to win this book. How?
    1. Watch my video
    2. Comment in the comments section of my video 'huga-buga, I'm the best" or state your opinion about the topic of deep work.
    3. Share this video with your friends and family
    4. Promise to yourself to be more intentional with your time (I will believe you)
    5. And give yourself a tap on the shoulders. You deserve it.
Thanks for the support, thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the next one.

My problem is I go too deep into my work. I forget to eat and don't want to take breaks. I found it to be a problem with (teenage) children to care for. So I actually have to set a limit on how much work I do and block out my time so that I do not overwork while I am in a deep work zone. I also find that I burn a lot of calories in this state which means I need a lot of healthy brain food before going into a deep work zone. And then recovery foods are also helpful. P.S. the headaches may be reduced by eating a lot of healthy fats and hydrating adequately beforehand. Your brain runs on healthy fats and water. But if this doesn't reduce the headaches, then the headaches could be from building new neurological pathways within your brain so the headaches will diminish over time as these new pathways finish their connections. If the headaches continue, consider seeing an eye doctor or reducing eye strain with special glasses to reduce blue light. I hope this helps! 😀

Just who in the world are you🧐😱
I never heard that it is possible for a human to be in this condition in this world which is full of distractions 🧐
Actually I never able to go into deep because of something which i didn't know 😅

@@karanbhai240 Find something you enjoy working on. I am naturally gifted in math and enjoy complex math problems related to my work so I can always dive into deep work and distractions don't interrupt my work flow.
Your natural gifts may be something else entirely. It could be an art related project. Or it could be deep cleaning an area of the house. Or rebuilding an engine. Or playing a particular type of video game. We each have our own gifts and things we enjoy in which we can naturally go into deep work.

      Thank you Natasha.
I definitely resonate with what you're saying. I did that myself before getting into a burnout. Going into deep work sessions and not stopping for 3-4 hours. Not eating, not drinking (especially healthy stuff) and all that combo resulted in a melted, unfunctional brain.
After my burnout, as you said, I am careful with my breaks, I'm definitely taking care way more of how many hours I sleep, what I eat and especially what I drink. Now I drink a lot of water which helps me a lot. Before water was replaced with coffee.
You most probably heard that a lot of successful people do sports in the morning. Well during this experiment I did that myself. 30 min of easy cardio training (100 burpees, running and lifting some weights). Honestly I never felt so good and so much in the flow, with so much good energy during the day as I do now from when I'm doing some cardio training in the morning. I never did that, I was always having my optimal training hour at around 7pm which often I still do and combine it with the training in the morning.
Now I understand better the benefits of training in the morning. (Most probably this doesn't apply to everyone).
The headaches are definitely from not taking breaks and especially from building up those new neurological pathways. Because this is a skill that needs time and effort to master.

@karan Bhai haha, or you don't know yet. It's a skill and I bet you can do it. I totally agree with @Natasha Adams, finding something that you enjoy working on is essential. It might take you some experimentation until you find it but eventually I bet you'll just get a feeling for what you really enjoy doing.
And also when you find it, not everything is easy to do and you'll have a lot of down moments. I never made videos until 6 months ago. It was a pain in the butt learning the process, editing (I'm still learning a looot) but now I kind of do it out of passion (plus I accepted the fact that there are a lot of ups and downs in this process). I really love the process of creating videos. Plus my motivation is at some point in the future to create a social business that will help young people to get a different perspective on education. That keeps me moving forward.
I hope you will find your own motivation. When you do I would love to hear about it.

    • @ittakestime.official
      @ittakestime.official  ปีที่แล้ว

That's work in progress.
Recomand orice carte de la Cal Newport, sunt foarte educative.
      Multumesc de sprijin. 🙂
