Procrastination has been beating my buns for 33 years. But all that is over now. Enjoy my 5 tips to be a person who GETS THINGS DONE! Instagram / mattyissharing Twitch / mattyisstreaming
Nice video bro! It all hits a little to close to home as I've started on my own journey. My Videos arent the best that mostly limited to money and gear but I figured if I keep putting it off I'm never gonna get where I wanna be at so I might as well learn to post now and then once I get more money Im already in the habit. Ive learn personally that's what I have to do. I just force myself to do something until it becomes a habit lol.
Great video, there's deffo some things I'm gonna try in here. Like I've seen dirt cheap tablets, they are like 10 bucks and are just a electronic blackboard. I think I'll get one and use it for some chores or something. But I also have to say that I've seen a fair few videos like this. And I've been through more that enough 1/3 of "self" help books. And man everybody's acting like no handicaps exist. One really hard thing that I had to learn about procrastination is to let it happen. Because my brain is just soup sometimes and that's something I can never change or fix. Getting an understanding of your limitations is super important. You might have to make the list, but it's okay to have others help or just make peace with not doing all of it.
New subscriber here. Happy to support a fellow vegan. I'd love to learn more about you and feature you in my podcast. I'll be releasing this year where I have casual conversations with vegans and animal rights activists to use my marketing experience to bring attention to projects you're working on .. like this channel! Anyway, I hope you'd be open to this and if so what's the best way for me to connect with you? -Steve
I learned my procrastination was due to doing too much, being overwhelmed. I had to learn to slow way down. I like using that book called 30 Days to Overcome Procrastination by Corin Devaso.
Great tips! I usually have a to-do planner, but then it just becomes a place for random things I write down and it loses its purpose. maybe I need a good ole pad of paper and leave the planner strictly for the plans 😅
I find that mindful journaling about my thoughts, emotions, mood, just whatever uncomfy things are going on in my head helps a lot. It helps to turn my inquiries ("how do I calm down when I feel like I cant?", "how do I get myself to do this important thing when I feel that I have no energy?") into questions that prompt daily investigations. My latest question is "how can I use action oriented mindfulness to act on better decisions?" My main approach is to stop and recognize when I'm about to seek instant gratification and ask myself if my core survival needs are met. Then I look back on my ideas for things to immerse myself in to deter the impulsivity for such a long time that it fades into the periphery. I don't set timers because that sets off my executive dysfunction, I simply make a realistic goal for this task and try to see it through.
This is going to be a great resource for a lot of people! Thank you for sharing it with the world. I can say from personal experience these are extremely effective pieces of advice! 👏
