I find the education vs entertainment aspect a little hard to believe, students have to stop learning at some point and fans are for life (in most cases anyway).
It's confusing....Educational content is evergreen but the problem is - most of the subs are there to gain knowledge from U not as Ur fans. And when U stop doing that,they go to other channels. But fans will probably stay even if U advance or switch niches. Coz they love Ur personality not only Ur content.

Great video, getting subs is really easy when you already got some knowledge, but when you are starting TH-cam it can be really frustrating. I wanted to delete my main channel which now has over 150k subs because I was struggling so much at the start (Luckily I found out that using a little bit of Famester could give me a little push in terms of subs and views. After that I was getting so much more organic audience, and my channel has just exploded).
At 8:09 when discussing the value of 'True Students Over True Fans', it made me wonder whether focusing on creating deeper relationships with a smaller audience could be more beneficial than casting a wider, proverbial 'net'? Could we hear about a creator who succeeded with this model?
Maybe because all your interested subscribers have watched it in the first week and then the video doesn't have the wider appeal to attract new viewers outside of your subs.

Of course, one can get more views than that with the same number of subs. But it will take a lot more effort on your part. Maybe you can look up "retention editing". The better you retain viewer attention, the more likely youtube will recommend your videos to more and more people.
No it’s not. Mr. Beast says in order to grow your channel it’s mostly or all because of knowledge. He helps mentor people and helps grow their channels.

Great video, getting subs is really easy when you already got some knowledge, but when you are starting TH-cam it can be really frustrating.
