I felt like I was in that car with you with the subs in the back... I laughed so hard at that. The whole thing rang so true. 😅 Grass cutting for weeks to get it done. I bought a carburetor for a truck and then speakers... So much mowing! Hahahaha
I’M ALL IN. I’ve wasted way too much time thinking about all the what if’s & thinking that I’m not good enough. I am good enough & all it takes is one video! I know it’s not going to be easy. I’ve been making music since 2018 and I’m committed to making a impact with my music & my youtube channel & also another channel I’ve really been inspired to make which is me wanting to help others with their health, eating well, getting fit, and relationships, like going through a divorce and healing after for example. I just want to enjoy more free time with my 2 year old son & be able to help my family more like my mom and dad and my grandparents who are 77 & 80. Helping others & taking care of my family are my 2 main motivators. 🙏🏼🖤
I just started three weeks ago. The biggest thing I had to get over was starting while still learning. I am learning editing right now so I do simple talking head videos. Time and enjoyment will be the deciding factor to keep going after my 90 day test.
You won my attention with the stats: 2.7 billion active users, 200 million paid creators, a projected half trillion dollar industry by 2027. Mind-blowing. ASQ is right on the money, just like FSN, Fill a Specific Need, which is more of what I do. Are my goals to make money on TH-cam? Not really. I'd like to make enough money to cover my software purchases for the videos and I'll be happy. I've averaged 1.5 new subscribers a day, and hitting 1,000 subscribers is probably about 4 months away (I'm 200 shy), but hitting 4,000 hours of watch time is about a week away that I started getting serious about monetizing my channel. Thanks for the advice.
That's funny, I wrote that about 6 weeks ago. I'm only 5 subscribers away from 1K now and I have 7,700 hours of watch time, most of which I picked up in the last 90 days. But in the first five months of the year, all of my videos were pretty flat-line, not doing much. Like placing a bet, I let them all ride and with patience, they all panned out.
Thank you so much Sean for your vulnerability, jokes and all round love you have for your fellow man sharing your passion. May God continue to bless you and your family. Hugs from Canada 🥰🥰
All in. I want to be a driving force in creating a true professional Kayak fishing league with low entry. I also want to encourage others to get outdoors and LIVE life
Thank you for this video. I have a new channel and am a sponge trying to learn everything I can. I’m a self taught small business owner who decided to start vlogging my Etsy business & craft. I have had my Etsy shop for 10 years and have a need to grow. I write crochet patterns and sell my finished products. I am a 46 year old Mom who has been caring for my daughter who was diagnosed with a disability. It has held my business back over the years, but she is finally in remission and doing well so I’m ready to hopefully change our lives and work off paying some of our hefty medical bills.
I love the elevator pitch for your first channel!! TH-cam is a slow, long-term work in progress for me (not this channel, a different one) and this update helps keep me encouraged, a kind of water station on a marathon. Thanks for what you and your team are doing!
Great advice!!!! I’m a new TH-camr and am enjoying learning video editing little by little. With each new video I put out, I either think of something I can do better on the next one or discover a new way to do something I didn’t previously know, so I love that I’m skill building and being creative! My goal is to create a virtual coworking space for people who work from home.
I've been A consumer on TH-cam since forever and I decided this year to start a psychology channel, you can't even imagine how helpful you are, i prefer watching you over vid iQ, and this is kind of a historical moment because this is the first time i've ever commented on a video. THANKS
I'm game for this challenge... I'm having fun learning all the ins and outs of TH-cam... and editing, thanks Sean! I grew up on a 8k acre cattle ranch in Southern, Cali. I understand your pain with AOL.. my grandfather was a farmer as well and grew up in an Orchard... very cool thanks for the tutorial!
Wonderful presentation. Your ideas are gold. One that sticks out at the moment "answer specific questions." I have searched for answers so many times on TH-cam and usually find what I'm looking for from installing a water heater to swapping out a motherboard on my Mac. Thank you. I'm all in.
My biggest takeaway is the ASQ OR ASSSQ. I thought that wouldn't work for me but the more I thought about it, the more I saw how it would work. I also liked your comment about not seeing the haters at the bank. You're always so supportive and encouraging. I don't watch people who say the first hundred videos won't get any views. Thank you, Sean.
I'm so close to reaching that milestone of 1k subscribers! My goal is to reach it before the end of the year! Fingers crossed and I intend to use the tips I've learned in this video. Thank you everyone!
I joined to TH-cam on September 29, 2008 and I started the channel just to store my videos so they don’t get lost 😂 And this year on March 14, 2024 I was accepted to Partner Program. And it’s growing since then. My motto is: “How can I entertain people while teaching or showing something that majority of them didn’t know before.”
I want to start doing videos again and learning more of what works and listening to you Sean You're so I formative and I live it thank you so much I a appreciate all your content
I'm thanking of starting a TH-cam channel but have zero business experience and have failed most all through school. I really enjoyed watching this video 👍 my biggest concern are the legal and permits needed to get started on this possible journey . I'm from Virginia.
You’re literally the best and every video I watch provides both outstanding information and inspiration. Creating such an impact on me in bringing all my dreams to fruition. So thank you BIG time 🙏🤓✨
I'm kinda of reaching a point of fatigue with my TH-cam channel after 18 months, I put a lot of time and finances into my channel trying to create something unique within a niche genre, but time and time again i see channels pulling in larger views and subscribers, with almost the same videos. My conclusion is that my geographical position does have any channels doing what we do and the majority of the other channels that do well are of the same geographical location. Would this be a far assumption?
These tips are excellent and resonate well, especially when I consider them from the perspective of someone looking for answers from ASQ content. Can I apply the same strategy to other social media platforms?
Hey, Sean. Thanks for sharing your story my man. Incredible journey. Love it. Reasons first, results second. Makes me think about: How deep is your why.
Hey Sean, this is a great video that I wish I saw before I started. But all is not lost. I am a retired pastor and I feel like I can still serve God through the TH-cam opportunity. I am following you, I am a small creator with faceless youtube channel based in Africa. I'd love to get any tips as learn from this channel.
We're around the same age, and I was a videographer also back in the day and for many years after that. All the things you say crack me up because I experienced the same things, haha.
Thank you! I have been habitually watching your content and am always so encouraged! Looking forward to some insight on how to do this successfully with a full time job and family. Keep up the great work, God bless!
4:06 - we're all weird and into really weird stuff 🤣. OMG i had this realization last week - i found the most NICHE youtube channel that had 70 subscribers, but i watched almost every video. It made me think.... there really is something for everyone lmao

what about a history channel? I'm starting one and in the process of working on a few scripts. Lots of research but I love it, what tips for asq would give for this?
It would just be amazing to live of playing games and reveiwing of them! I think my concept is something that would make sence for a lot of gamers. I just feel like i dont have enough time next to my work and family life to get enough uploads coming to get me into the youtube gaming algorythm.
I learnt a lot from your video and I am more inspired by your your personal story. I am also very glad that you are unashamed to talk about God in the way you do.❤
If you're feelin' fancy with the word “Niche” the French version “Neesh” or keeping it simple with English version “Niche”, now you know😅, great content @think
I have 15 subscribers, and I want to upload a video soon. Watching, researching, and learning. I want to do different things and wonder if that would be confusing for my viewers. I'm doing this because mentally, I'm exhausted. My life has been hell, and physically, I can't work. I'm trying to get out of poverty. I want to talk about mental health as my 18 year old just got onset symptoms for schizophrenia and all my children struggling, yet I'm scared to expose my family. I guess I wish I knew which route was best. Either way, I'm starting.
Hi Queen. You CAN do this. I see channels with parents struggling with the challenges of caring for both mentally & physically ill children & family members. I just wanted to encourage you to get started. You don't have to show your family members on camera, but you might consider just talking about diagnoses, how the symptoms manifest, how it effects you (tired, scared, etc). It takes a bit of allowing yourself to be vulnerable; letting people see what it's like & how you cope, but you may find a great community to empathize with you & support you. Just get started, one vid at a time. I wish you the best.
im going 2 years in TH-cam but that really is just a few weekends put together. i have a day job and struggling to be consistent on TH-cam. My dilemma is deciding on a niche, as the original intent was to Share Weekend Adventures (Philippines) but that includes Car Camping, Hiking, Moto Riding - vlogging, and cycling - all happening on weekends. right now i have no more than 300 subs, and only keep on going because i love making these videos. Is there a way around getting my content picked up by the YOutube algorithm? Like for the things i love to be all tied together?
You should do a video like this but for people with low attention span, because I see your title but I didn't hear anything that was related to that title because you were talking about multiple other topics that distracted me from what the title says.
I guess you'll just have to wait til the 25 minute version comes out next week. 😂 The short answer like another commenter said is the answer specific questions method.
i have over 140,000 subscribers & TH-cam was my full time job since 2010, and NOW im about to become homeless, all my time, effort, blood , sweat and tears down the drain all for nothing, all due to youtube changing up the website way to many times, youtube used to send out numerous notifications a day now they only send out 3 a day, plus the algorithm is messed up as well, half my subs dont even get my videos anymore, its sad that this was my full time job now ill be homeless living in a tent in a couple of weeks! Unreal! as much as i love my subs and fans, it goes to show you that it doesn't matter how many subs you have in 2024!
Hey bro, this must be hard and crazy stressful. One thing I learned the hard way: never blame the platform or the algo. YOU have to adapt. YOU have to learn new skills and reinvest in your business (hire mentors, buy courses) Now, in your situation, it might not be the best option now. But, you gotta take responsibility. Learn more about monetization, it’s not about the subs, it’s about how you’re monetizing your audience.
@@SeanzViewEnt interesting I always had that same theory I feel ok knowing that I came in with a saying it doesn't take 1k im fine with 💯subs a small team can go just as far as a Major league.
Maybe I should define the purpose of my videos. I have 3 types. Online bowling. Make videos on how to master the online bowling games, or how to engage in candlepin bowling if you don't live in a state where there is candlepin bowling. Running. How do I continue to run at an advanced age. Karaoke. How you can sing karaoke right off your phone. What I'm getting out of this is you have to have the patience to watch this entire video from start to finish before diving in to what you are trying to do.

@@solumefoodhmmm never heard of it. How's it work. Does it connect to youtube...
Hey bro, this must be hard and crazy stressful.
One thing I learned the hard way: never blame the platform or the algo. YOU have to adapt.
YOU have to learn new skills and reinvest in your business (hire mentors, buy courses)
Now, in your situation, it might not be the best option now.
Instead of living homeless in a tent, why don't you go out and get a REAL job?
Just joined the Party 🎉❤
Maybe I should define the purpose of my videos. I have 3 types. Online bowling. Make videos on how to master the online bowling games, or how to engage in candlepin bowling if you don't live in a state where there is candlepin bowling. Running. How do I continue to run at an advanced age. Karaoke. How you can sing karaoke right off your phone. What I'm getting out of this is you have to have the patience to watch this entire video from start to finish before diving in to what you are trying to do.
All in financial freedom family work from home and many more
I’m ALL IN ❤
