Fallout 2 - Frank Horrigan - All Scenes With Voice
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 3 ต.ค. 2024
- Frank Horrigan is the Enclave Super Soldier and final boss of Fallout 2, voiced at the end by Michael Dorn. Except, we see Horrigan throughout the game in in-game cutscenes, where the dialogue is done entirely through text.
I went through the original scenes and added voices using generative AI. So now we finally have some idea of what those scenes might have sounded like!
Voices used: Michael Dorn, Frank Welker, Richard Dean Anderson, Kevin Michael Richardson and Charles Martinet.

I still believe that through the enclaves experiments on Frank, he literally mutated into a super mutant. And rather than kill their best soldier, they built a suit of power armor around him to hide their mistake.
From what I've heard in multiple explanations is he was a full on super mutant in the sense that his mutations were started from the FEV inside Mariposa, then the Enclave experimented on him ending with him being dosed on chems to keep him calm and the suit being built into him and impossible to take off, all so he could be put back in the field as an unstoppable force.
Lore wise I think it's less to hide their mistake and more because they still want to keep him as a valuable asset. And I'm pretty sure the Super mutant thing isn't just a theory. He was exposed to FEV from the Mariposa Base excavation and considering he was a 'prime normal' of sorts, he turned out being one of the first 2nd Generation mutants to retain his mental faculties. But much like Herold, he's not exactly the same as any other mutant or super mutant, but something different entirely
@@Wreckingballbluso he’s the resident Darth Vader, lmao
I just assumed it was armour period rather than power armour lmao
@@WreckingballbluYes and no. He was the first "Success" of the FEV. His body transformed into essentially a super soldier/Mutant, but it broke his mind to the point he thinks his still human.

Still one of my favorite characters in the fallout universe. I mean come on, it's a damn super mutant behemoth in power armor. That alone makes him amazing. He also the only character (besides the master) I genuinely felt terrified of. I remember being a little kid seeing him tower over everyone with that bass voice and thinking "Oh god I hope I don't have to fight him...." I have no idea how long it took me to beat him when I finally got to him. Man is a beast!
2:08 my favourite line ever
Michael Dorn is such a talented actor, the fact that he can play an honorable yet fierce character like Worf and a cold sociopathic mantank like Horrigan with equal skill is very impressive.
Or an honorable yet scary gang leader such as maero
As much as i'm not a fan of Ai Voices. I really wanted to see those scences of Frank Horrigan voiced. He has such an intimidating voice, shame there wasn't more Frank in Fallout 2.
Would have taken away his impact overall, in my opinion

Looking how big the X0-1 power armor in Fallout 4 is and comparing those soldier's with Frank Horrigan in the first clip, made me realise how actually really fucking big Frank is, he's basically a real Super Mutant Behemoth, clad in the most advance power armor with the best weapons too... He is even intelligent... That is crazy! How could the chosen one defeat that demon??? The chosen one might be the strongest MC in the franchise. And apart from Liberty Prime, Frank is ofc the second powerful nom MC character in Fallout history
Only thanks to hacking turrents against Frank and some of the enclave guards siding against Frank
The Chosen One had stats that are impossible to reach in the following Fallout games. Even so, Frank has the highest total stat score of any character in any of the games (10 all around). I believe Mama Murphy had the highest single stat (19 strength)
@@liamedwards7656 nah not true, there's a few characters in new vegas who also have 10 all around. That aside, while the Chosen One has their level cap set to 99, fo4's mc has no level cap and can get every perk.
None of this matters, however, as stats are just for gameplay purposes and are not necessarily canon. Frank def doesn't have INT 10 lol
@@spyghettighetti3066 Frank is nerd rage enjoyer. Seethe
I like how Frank despite his hate for any wastelanders and clear sadism still follows only goals of the mission he was sent to accomplish and allows choosen one to walk away while they can even though at that moment of storyline choosen one could be clapped by Frank. Not without putting effort but still
The look of his armor in the close up scenes is so good. It really makes me feel like dudes been out In The shit for a long time. It's weathered and dented. Truly conveys the idea of walking the wasteland is no walk In the park.
Frank is the definition of "unit."
“you and your mutie bastard friends are gonna join me in a big ol’ mushroom cloud sendoff.”
0:01 this was so mind blowing to see for a first time, even without voices

That AI voice sounds perfect. The tone of it fits as well.
1:20
That normal sound that humans definitely make 😌
You should have heard some of the AI's other attempts at "laughing" 😅
😂 ikr? it's less like a laugh and more like a sarcastic noise 😆
Talking deathclaws sounds like halo elites
Well, Goris is a deathclawn and a companion in fallout 2, fuck awesome
1:29 I like that line
Honestly it’s baffling to me that they never tried to make someone like frank horrigan again…
...peep...
I walk in a zig-zag because the suit is a little tight around the "fallout" zone
I like how the laugh comes off as fake, it sort of shows how cold and empty he is
“You see a man-like creature glaring at you with a look of pure hatred.”
Besides Courier Six dealing with so much traumatic shit, and the vault dweller meeting the master, the chosen one has balls of steel for fighting Horrigan at all. Dude was a super mutant behemoth in power armor.
Chosen One watching a video of Frank one-shotting a deathclaw with his fist:
"Yeah, i can beat that 👀"

God, now this really makes me want to see the Skaarj terminals from Unreal 1 be voiced with their growls or something fitting, lol. Great work!
Peep
"Peep" indeed.
I was replaying Fallout 2 today and got to this part except the game glitched so all my companions were also in the scene. There's something special about Frank Horrigan executing a man while Marcus is in the back saying, "Phew. Somebody cut a muffin?"
Mr. House, the designer Liberty Prime and founder of RobCo, good to meet you in the flesh or in the screen as it seems.
Why did he said that? What does Peep mean?
@@ChiefJudge it doesn't mean anything specific, he just let out a peep of fear because he just unloaded into Frank and all it did was get a chuckle out of the monster... And Frank's fist was coming right at his face.
1:40 well that was clear self defense
"Whatever you were never anything more than a talking animal"
God damn thats cold
Especially considering that he is the talking animal. He is a behemoth super mutant
The scene in the brotherhood bunker is hilariously bad ngl. With the notable exception of “that may be, but seeing your corpse rotting on the ground will bring a smile on my face.” That line goes hard.
2:18 tbh him saying “take HIS body” is so much worse than if he said “take ITS body” bc it means he actually is able to personify him w/o feeling remorse
I can't believe Worf's voicing Horrigan.
Bro is the Adam Smasher of Fallout
This is so damn cool! Generative AI really has come a long way. I see now that the voice clips in this video has been used to create the hardest Edit on Frank Horrigan on TH-cam.
I am suprised that Frank doesn't kill the player right away at their first meeting instead letting him go and live because he never did something until then
Can you attack him in this scene? And further more is it possible to defeat him right there? Or it' like cut scene and you can't do anything
@@alexref6074 You can't do anything until he leaves the area. You can loot the bodies after he left.

Does bro even take off his helmet to eat. 😭😭
No. He can't live without the suit.
I like the idea of Frank Horrigan grabbing a bite with his subordinates and he's actually a chill guy off work.

1:12 literally it’s only when the ai is forced to laugh you can hear it kinda breaking but sheesh if he were to upload this now I’m like 99.99% sure even the ai would make human emotions like laughing sound natural.
