My headcanon is that all the Dogmeats are a giant family of various dogs Originating from a vault, as they seem a lot less affected by mutations despite being around for Generations. Though Harold looks superficially like a ghoul, he's actually an FEV mutant like the Master and supermutants. Bob is never really explained, but in my headcanon Harold had some trail mix in his pocket when he was exposed.
Kind of hoped Nick Valentine and/or Hancock would/will come back ngl. 😔 Both characters backstories and roles are very interesting and would most definitely play an interesting part imo, but ofc some things must come to an end I suppose
If FO5 takes place in Chicago, we may run into either Nick Valentine or Kellogg again. Nick Valentine, well... We know that the *ORIGINAL* Nick Valentine was a detective in Chicago in search of a man named Eddie Winter. As for Kellogg, we could see his progression in making his way toward the east or perhaps the Commonwealth. It's possible that we could have him as a temporary companion for a side quest in which we have to kill a raider or a gang member of some sort.
@@stunnaremy That’s only possible if Fo5 takes place before Fo4, which is unlikely since all the mainline Fallout games have been in chronological order.

Nicely Crafted Video, I do wish if The talking deathclaws from FO2 made a comeback. They were very interesting. Plus, having a freaking deathclaw as a companion was hella badass.
I don’t know your qualifications for reappearing characters, but there are some incredibly minor characters in Fallout 4 mentioned in terminals and holotapes that reappear in Fallout 76. That being Shannon Rivers (actress for the Mistress of Mystery), Elliot Manfield (main actor in Invaders From Beyond Our Galaxy), and Del Wash (a paramedic in Nuka World).
One of my favorite things about Sierra is the fact that they (the Nuka World raiders) just...let her wonder around searching for stuff. They don't lock her up or shoot her or force her to look, they just leave her be
Madison Li being with the Institute would've been perfectly fine... IF Bethesda ever actually gave the Institute a goal besides "cut all ties with the surface." Although Fallout: New Vegas doesn't have a Dogmeat "out of the box", there are (many, many) mods that add dog companions. But probably the best implementation of this is New Vegas Bounties II, which adds a completely by-the-way-ish dog companion named Guts who (much like the original Dogmeat) you find standing vigil over his dead owner.
On the point of Dogmeat, don't forget that the Bethesda original Fallout stories (3 and 4) are on the opposing coast to the other games (east vs west), and even with divine protection, that's quite the trek for a dog to take on unassisted.
You missed one (kind of). I don’t remember if you actually meet her in fallout 2 but in fallout 2 there’s a crashed vertibird that everyone says was piloted by daisy whitman, who you later meet in new Vegas in novac.
One flaw. Harold also appears in Fallout Tactics as a recruit about midway through the game. You can play him for the rest of the game, and he's pretty kick-ass.

It's worth the long walk in Fallout 4 to see Liberty Prime knack the Behemoth. He just looks at it in disgust and then picks him up like a ragdoll and snaps his neck. "Outta ma way bitch" 😎

Maxson really isn't as bad as people make him out to be. Once you dive a bit deeper you actually find he's a pretty big reformer in the BoS. Elder Lyons was basically rogue, and the rest of the brotherhood treated him as such, and many of his own subordinates (brotherhood outcasts) left the order because of how unpopular he was. What Arthur Maxson has done, however, is he's reunited the brotherhood _and_ he's managed to marry Lyons' ideals with those of the rest of the Brotherhood. It doesn't come across very clearly, but it's a pretty big ideological shift in the entirety of the brotherhood. Mainline BoS pre-Arthur Maxson: - Searches for technology to keep it out of the hands of everyone else - Believes that they deserve this technology because they are better than everyone else - Doesn't trust outsiders and doesn't let them join the BoS - Will kill anyone who opposes them or stands in their way - Hates ghouls and mutants because they're different from humans - Doesn't care about other people or their problems Entirety of the brotherhood after Arthur Maxson takes over: - Searches for technology to preserve it for the future and keep the more dangerous things out of the hands of people who might misuse it, but also allows other people to have a bunch of technology that isn't super dangerous - Believes that they need to keep the most dangerous technology out of use because it might destroy humanity like nuclear weapons did - Is somewhat wary of outsiders, but also actively recruits new people and actively maintains order by killing supermutants and bandits - Are only aggressive towards things and people that are actually dangerous - Hates feral ghouls, super mutants and synths because they are inherently dangerous to humans - Do care about other people, and genuinely wants to help and protect humanity as a whole, even if their methods to do so can be extreme What Maxson has effectively done is make Lyons' ideals palatable to the rest of the brotherhood. And given he is only 20 years old, he'll likely mellow in the extremes with age and continue reforming the BoS if allowed to do so.
Modern westerners are so braindead and brain*washed* that they think "he's a bigot!" outweighs literally any action or personality, positive or negative.
@@fuckinantipope5511 "Synths aren't dangerous". Riiight, they just kill people on command and can be programmed to do whatever someone wants. And they're faster and stronger than normal humans. Same as the pskyers or whatever they’re called.
But Super Mutants are the the product of the FEV, Forced Evolutionary Virus was used by the Master to Create the first 2 generations of the Super Mutants, as Well as the NightKin various strains of the Virus are also responsible for the behemots, Fire ants and the Commowealth Supermutants, which so far proved to be the only super mutants on which the effects of the virus can actually be reversed...
@@tomebasic2843 look man, I am not to well versed on the lore prior to when bethesda bought the ip to the fallout series from black isle studios in 2007, so im just going off of what a quick Google came up with.
@@NotSoJollyGaming Tim Cain referred to Harold as a ghoul on several occasions,. When fans brought the same point you made to Cain, he simply said "they're essentially the same thing" it's semantics is what I'm saying
@@GorpaDorpOrp i thought ghouls were mutated by radiation and fev was the thing that made supermutants, so even if he wasn’t a conventional looking supermutant he would still be a supermutant because he was mutated by fev. because not all fev strains are the same, thats why virgil can cure himself but couldnt cure other mutants, because his serum was specific to the strain he infected himself with. also mutants are immune to radiation, so he couldn’t be a ghoul and a mutant. unless he somehow became irradiated before he was affected by the fev. very confusing, but in pretty certain canonically if he was mutated by fev then he is a supermutant, just a really fucked up one.
My headcanon is that all the Dogmeats are a giant family of various dogs Originating from a vault, as they seem a lot less affected by mutations despite being around for Generations. The vault probably is a dog breeding vault trying to make a "Superdog", and they release a few every now and then as part of the experiment or something
edit: grammar
I like this theory. Seeing how crazy some of the vault experiments were this one sounds like the perfect excuse for the developers
@@wildghoul7485 im glad you think so! It also works given what vault-tech had the experiments for, having a genetically perfect super breed would be pretty useful for them
That explains how my Dogmeat in 3 took down a Super Mutant Behemoth by himself
I'm pretty aure at least according to the fallout bible (only really cannon for 1&2 and even then a lot has been reconned through future releases) however it says og dogmeat basically fucked himself ( his bloodline) across the wastes so it's a little more true then you think
I dunno how the dogs could be released in both the east and west coast though
"plow her bean field" is the worst sex euphemism I've ever heard.
The best part of Old World Blues from NV were the sentient appliances. Especially Muggy.
Agreed lol
If Preston Garvey doesn’t return to give me annoying settlement quests I’m never playing a fallout game again

Daisy Whitman who you meet in new Vegas was the pilot of the crashed vertibird outside one of the towns in fallout 2
Aradesh is mentioned in Fallout 4.
When I clicked on this video I thought it was going to be a WatchMojo-esque styled video and I was so happy I was wrong. I love the editing and your hilarious commentary added into it.
Definitely subscribing!
I've seen theories that fallout nv's No-Bark Noonan could be fallout 1's Vault Dweller, thst would honestly be more fitting than BoS's rendition 💀
I think you mean Fallout 2's The Chosen One
I like how Worf from Star Trek voices Marcus.
I would really REALLY like a new Fallout game that takes place almost immediately after the bombs dropped, playing through the fierce chaos that followed.
He also voiced Frank Horrigan in 2
I thought I recognised that voice. Worf is gold.
Closest in the timeline to that is fallout 76
Or the beginning of Fallout 4, but I don’t count that as anything but a glorified cutscene.
Odo voices Mr House
that man harold was goin through it man
Yeah, poor dude.
Though Harold looks superficially like a ghoul, he's actually an FEV mutant like the Master and supermutants. Bob is never really explained, but in my headcanon Harold had some trail mix in his pocket when he was exposed.
technically ghouls are fev mutants too
Kind of hoped Nick Valentine and/or Hancock would/will come back ngl.
Why are you saying it as if they definitely won't?
@@stunnaremy That’s only possible if Fo5 takes place before Fo4, which is unlikely since all the mainline Fallout games have been in chronological order.
It would make sense for atleast valentine like maybe he went on a investigation in the area fallout 5 takes place and we stumble upon him or something
I think it was in New Vegas, but you can meet a NPC that says his dad was a never around growing up, but always loved helping people and was real mysterious.
Fallout 76 should be forgotten. It makes fallout 4 look like a good game.

One of my favorite things about Sierra is the fact that they (the Nuka World raiders) just...let her wonder around searching for stuff. They don't lock her up or shoot her or force her to look, they just leave her be

I really want to see what happened with Veronica in the future.
I wish she's in Fallout 5 even with Maccready

They do, they just leave the west coast to obsidian.
@@rawrdino7046 What do you mean? They make a few references here and there. One of the Far Harbor characters brings up Vera Keyes for instance.

13:57 my favourite quote in Fallout 4. Good Ol’ Nicky, that bucket of bolts, got to love his sarcasm.
Well, actually New Vegas has female version of Stranger called Miss Fortune. I think you should mention that.
Isn’t Miss Fortune considered a different character tho? Specially because they both have different perks?
Yeah but she's not a recurring character
Madison Li being with the Institute would've been perfectly fine... IF Bethesda ever actually gave the Institute a goal besides "cut all ties with the surface."
Like... why the hell are they even building synths or spreading super mutants?? It's never explained! They claim it's all for the greater good, but the writers forgot to specify what that "good" even is!
Super underrated, thanks for the clear, funny and concise list lol

I just discovered this channel and I am laughing my ass off. The way this guy explain stuff is hilarious. As a fallout fan i am definetly subscribing! Keep it up
Thank you dude!
Although Fallout: New Vegas doesn't have a Dogmeat "out of the box", there are (many, many) mods that add dog companions. But probably the best implementation of this is New Vegas Bounties II, which adds a completely by-the-way-ish dog companion named Guts who (much like the original Dogmeat) you find standing vigil over his dead owner.
Rex is superior to dogmeat
This video was awesome love your commentary Marry Xmas
Thank you! Merry Xmas to you too!
I truly enjoyed the video and I really respect the effort you've put into this video. And ofcourse, the presentation is perfect. I do have a small request. Please make a NV challenge video where you beat the game only with a knife as weapon. Challenge vids like that will surely pop out your channel.
I was actually thinking of doing something like that in the future!
13:00 you’re wrong. The mysterious stranger wasn’t directly mentioned in New Vegas, but if you talk to the Lonesome Drifter, he hints that he never met his dad and he was quite “mysterious”. And if you kill him OR complete his unmarked quest which requires you to go to the Tops casino before you talk to him you can tell him that he can play his guitar at the Tops and he will give you his Mysterious Magnum. Pretty interesting.
Your Voice and your Mic really suite you being a fallout youtuber, I feel immersed just listening to you speak

In Fallout 4 some of the feral dogs you encounter have collars on her necks, so I concluded that dogs can be ghoulified in the Fallout universe. They have shown ghoul gorillas (ghoulrillas) in the Nuka World DLC, Yao-Guai’s are ghoul bears
Honorable mention but technically not an appearance; Aradesh (Tandi's father) is mentioned in a radio broadcast in Fallout 4.
I like to think that doc Henry and Marcus met when the chosen one traveled to the ncr with Marcus, and eventually Marcus and Henry left for the Mojave

Dogmeat is based off the Bluehealer in Mad Max yet is usually designed after a German Shepherd both make great guard dogs just German Shepherds are more imposing

a lot of them have been doing this for years so they are burnt out, that's probably why. I've only been posting actual videos for about a year!

In fallout 4 I did the liberty prime quest and I didn’t want to follow it the entire way to the Institute so I wanted to see what happened if I fast traveled there. It turns out you can skip the whole following Liberty Prime part of the quest if you just fast travel there. Lol
I will definitely do this next time I have to do that quest

Mainline BoS pre-Arthur Maxson:
- Searches for technology to keep it out of the hands of everyone else
- Believes that they deserve this technology because they are better than everyone else
- Doesn't trust outsiders and doesn't let them join the BoS
- Will kill anyone who opposes them or stands in their way
- Hates ghouls and mutants because they're different from humans
- Doesn't care about other people or their problems
Entirety of the brotherhood after Arthur Maxson takes over:
- Searches for technology to preserve it for the future and keep the more dangerous things out of the hands of people who might misuse it, but also allows other people to have a bunch of technology that isn't super dangerous
- Believes that they need to keep the most dangerous technology out of use because it might destroy humanity like nuclear weapons did
- Is somewhat wary of outsiders, but also actively recruits new people and actively maintains order by killing supermutants and bandits
- Are only aggressive towards things and people that are actually dangerous
- Hates feral ghouls, super mutants and synths because they are inherently dangerous to humans
- Do care about other people, and genuinely wants to help and protect humanity as a whole, even if their methods to do so can be extreme
What Maxson has effectively done is make Lyons' ideals palatable to the rest of the brotherhood. And given he is only 20 years old, he'll likely mellow in the extremes with age and continue reforming the BoS if allowed to do so.
Modern westerners are so braindead and brain*washed* that they think "he's a bigot!" outweighs literally any action or personality, positive or negative.
He also gives you shit for bringing a ghoul onboard if you bring Hancock.
Synths aren't dangerous and non-feral ghouls are still killed by them. Maxson is still a moron and I love blowing him and the Prydwen up
@@fuckinantipope5511 "Synths aren't dangerous". Riiight, they just kill people on command and can be programmed to do whatever someone wants. And they're faster and stronger than normal humans. Also, where in Fallout 4 does the BoS kill a single non-feral ghoul? They seem to be fine letting Hancock walk around on Prydwen.
@@wardeni4806 but the "civilian" synths aren't. They just wanna live their lifes.
And they are openly hostile towards non-feral ghouls and insult Hancock. They just let him pass because he's with the Sole Survivor. If Hancock was alone, he'd be blasted
