    I do love that he has a weapon from almost every major incarnation of Prime... he has the Matrix Sword from the comics, the throwing axes from TFAnimated, the G1-esque blaster, the giant battle axe like the one in the opening cutscene of War for Cybetron, and the Bayformers blades. Whoever made this figure clearly did their homework.

      Even though it's not a weapon, the jetpack has some IDW vibes

    I think Flame Toys completely outdid themselves with this one. It’s absolutely fantastic in every way possible. That’s obviously just my opinion but this Prime is one hell of a figure!

  • @ScourgePrime87
    @ScourgePrime87 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Those two smaller axes are an amazing throwback to Animated. I absolutely love it.

  • @RobbieHaydtLMAO

    I got mine the other day and I'm in awe. It's gorgeous. The big axe is pretty much the best weapon any robot has ever had. You have design cues from G1, IDW, WFC/FoC, Animated, Bayverse, it's all here. Some of the joints are a bit too tight in the upper half, and the backpack on mine has the pegs ever so slightly misaligned that makes putting it on a royal pain, but like, that's it. Nitpicks.
    They're next release in this line is confirmed to be Stealth Bomber Megatron and I couldn't be happier as it's one of my favorite character designs ever. Very much looking forward to it. Flame Toys has proven to officially be the Soul of Chogokin of Transformers bar none. Threezero is up there but not quite at this level, which is fine, I think they both do amazingly in what they each specialize in.

    One of the crazy bits Bobby missed was how the torso also has some side to side bend in the ab crunch, and when you use them the tires inside the chest pop out a bit to fill any gaps. It's kind of nuts.

  • @Alzeal07
    @Alzeal07 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This kind of build, detail, pistons and moving parts to make the robot realistic, and the way it looks is what I wanted for the MP line. Add a transformation factor and this blows the current cartoony ones we get nowadays out of the water.

    Thanks for the review. I would have loved to get this figure but the price was out of my range. If it was $100 less I probably would have pre-ordered. Now if they do a good size Grimlock, that will be a completely different story.

    I've been trying to find an excuse like "I rather my TF figures to actually transform", so I'm able to resist this very expensive line from this very good company but the truth is these figures are some of the best high end action figures out there. The price point is a bit to high for me to buy them all so I have to wait until there is one that makes me fall in love to a point I wont mind paying what they are asking. Thanks for the review Mr. Skullface, even though reviews like this my push me to my financial ruin.

    I really wish I could afford this. I adore the design, and it'd look great next to my Flame Toys Starscream. But that price point of about £350-£400 is just too much. I wish there was a more affordable alternative version, like one without the complex light gimmicks, and such, that'd work for me.

    I love this design and I did try to compare this to ThreeA Bumblebee Prime but I cant. Of course ThreeA is taller and the price point is fantastic but everyone is hopping on that mold while Flame Toys is a one off with jetpower apex upgrades coming. Been waiting a while for an english review. I know Skullface wont dissapoint. 100 as always.

    Having the Drift and the Star Saber my greatest concern has to be the tolerances. My Drift’s tolerances are already getting softer with minimal posing. I’ve now resorted to a stand instead of letting the figure stand/pose on its own. So my expectations have deflated a bit for this line. Might not even do the Victory Leo at this point.

  • @christopherransom9290
    @christopherransom9290 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I actually hope that they do a shattered glass variant to go with the Drift. An extra weapon would be nice, just don't know what it would be. The GT IDW Prime is pretty good for me.

    So i have a question.. I love these figures from flame toys, but i still do not own one yet because of the price point, but i will. I see bobby in these reviews being very careful with the figure, as he should because its very expensive. but there in is my question.. because of the expense of these figures and the fear of damage, does it make the experience of handling the figure not so much fun? I handle my masterpiece figures constantly, posing them around and such but i almost feel like i would pose this guy one time and never want to touch him again. Am i off base with that?

    • @nadirsalahialasbahi2845
      @nadirsalahialasbahi2845 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have Star Saber and Drift and I handle them regularly to change their poses. One of course has to be careful to not scratch the paint or break small parts like antennas but I don't find them frustrating to handle, the joints move in a natural way and you don't feel like you are going to break them.

      Not fairly posable, VERY posable. I had the same exact thoughts until I went in on my first one (Tarn). When you get it in hand, you just get it. The build quality, paint quality, parts count is all above the level of ThreeZero, at least in my opinion.
      That being said, their Bumblebee Optimus Prime is a steal at $190. And if Flame Toys ever does go beyond the $400 pricetag, I gotta say I'm out. I paid $400 for my Optimus with the big axe, and it's the most I'd pay for their stuff.
