Don't forget That canonically tarn is obsessed with transforming so much he regularly burns out his transformation cog. I'm kinda wondering about that turret placement now.
Yeah the Transformation addiction really reads as addiction to something else. Thus making this one absolutely perfect for NNN.

Actually, he was addicted to the power-enhancing Nucleon, which resulted in the Action Masters.
Probably one of the most unique tank transformations I've ever seen. Making the turret out of the legs should be done more often.
I’ve only ever seen it done like that on one other bot. And it was a Mars converter from Walgreens.

Fun detail: The facial damage is heavily implied (if not confirmed, been a while since a read it) to be the work of Grimlock. Guy ruined Tarn's face like ten minutes after he got it back (Empurata's a hell of a thing). The next time they met, an amnesiac Grimlock punched Tarn in the, uh, _ballbearings._
Not sure why they had the mask peg in though. They did that with "Kultur"/Tarn but then "Tyrantron"/Megatron came with a magnetic one. I would've thought they'd do magnets again for Eris. Alas, seems like Megs won't be able to use this one as a substitute chest insignia.

Reviewing a female version of the figure before the original version is the most Jobby thing ever.
To be fair, as someone who owns both versions - Eris is definitely the better version

Also, as someone who has read the comics, lemme reassure you, Tarn and the DJD are more than just the Decepticons' personal enforcer squad that weed out those who aren't as dedicated or trators.... they're basically a cult, religiously devoted to Megatron! They even kneel before an image of him and recite their own messed up equivalent of the Lord's Prayer that ends with Megatron's classic quote "Peace Through Tyranny"! And Tarn had a crisis of faith when Megatron gave up the Decepticon way, joined the Autobots, and made a change for the better.
Watching this figure crunch up together into a seamless tank shows the creative dark magic of 3rd parties, and also how Samus has some competition as top of the "women who are so flexible they can scrunch up into things list."
The fake Gerwalk Mode looks slightly like the peace walker in MGS.
reminds me of something out of Parodius.

I own this figure, it’s really one of my favorites. I hate that the release was so limited. The transformation is fun, all of the joints are tight on mine (after a little adjusting), and really even the tiny feet seem to somehow hold up this figure in basically any pose.
yeah here's hoping takara rips it off. they really should rip off thirdparty figures more often, I mean what are they gonna do, sue? I'd love to see that court case. plus they're chinese anyway.
I'm so mad I didn't know this thing existed until now. Usually a 7-month delay in learning about something wouldn't be a problem, but...
@@episodenull the trouble with collecting physical objects. In my experience, thirdparty shit stays buyable for ages though, often at shockingly okay prices as long as you're okay giving President Pooh money.

I wish I'd known about this one in time to get in on this release. Just waiting for the mass release that's supposed to happen eventually now as this thing is fantastic.
@@nameforcomments4092 thankfully you might not be waiting for too long. Ocular Max showed off the mass release version at a con not too long ago. It has different paint apps but it's the same figure.

That was the most beautiful transformation i have seen in a loooong time. So smooth, so precise, so AMAZING! I wish more figures would be made like this! I'd buy this figure JUST for transformation!

Nah the least controversial thing you’ve ever said was calling David Kaye’s voice sweet and succulent. Man’s tones are damned good. Also? I think that’s one of the most clever ways I’ve seen a third party figure attempt to avoid being a total rip. She’s an original design based on a pre existing one.

If the figures your going to review are what I think they are the blue and pink twins combined vehicle form has an extra bit that can fold up into a shield, unfold it if it's already folded and it will form the top of the vehicle form

Oh, so she's animated shockwave, but with more figures for the disguised versions... I like the hustle, regardless of quality it's respectable to have such a marketing gimmick that's designed well in robot mode.
And sure enough, just as I finish my opening explanation thought process, I resumed the video into an early complaint, I've gained a sense for when figures aren't perfect, lets hope the figure holds up.
And loose connections make me wish a transformer had a splitting gimmick, most likely jazz, as at least then it'd look as natural as being ripped in half can.

I’ve never liked overly feminine robot designs because they always compromise the toy’s ability to replicate the transformation realistically, but something like this that actually pulls it off with minimal kibble does a great job.

Why can I imagine Eris doing some kind of flip or pose to get them upside down to transform, like throwing the cannon up in the air, the flip/pose, transforming the top of them, maybe even spinning their legs and waist, then right as the cannon is going to hit them, transforms the rest of the way
Not only is Tarn probably a Sadomasochist, Tarn also requires new transformation cogs because he keeps burning them out. Apparently he has some weird addiction to transforming and he overdoes it enough to burn out and break his transformation cog. So he has someone rip the cogs from other bots. Might be a different character tho I don't remember.
