I was told the caught most of that from McCook to just about the NE/CO state line. Ollie had them here on time but that delay in getting the law enforcement on scene put them behind with the dwell time being about 15 minutes. Remember they gain back 32 minutes leaving here for Denver. That's the padding in the schedule. I saw #6 doing a fast 0 mph near Hudson last night before I shut everything off. Antonio asked me and I told him to dial 911 and that dispatch would get the law enforcement folks there. I think that they called for ambulance transport just as I was leaving. I had a conversation with the gentleman who was taking his family to the western slope for the weekend. He indicated he had spent a lot of travel time on trains. I thought that he would start staging the luggage for boarding but mothing. Oh well. It may have been others in the family. No biggie. I hope they have a great weekend over there. As for the person being ejected from the train, no I won't get video of them. He could be heard in the audio portion and that was enough. Had I been a little farther away from the door of car 8, I may have turned the camera in that direction. There were some icy spots on the platform as well as the roads. Most has melted away now (1325 CST). The wind has picked up and the sun is making an appearance through the broken cloud deck. Tomorrow back into the low 50s. I have seen snow on the trains but not like this train had. That was a lot of extra weight that Ollie had to get stopped. It was a neat sight. We had one of those in Newbern and in a small city. News of a passenger removal on a train brought every squad out on shift. These are always amusing as railfans but I'm sure a headache for the crew

Learned the delay was miscommunications from Fort Worth and the dispatcher center. This isn't the first time I've seen a person booted from the train. Both the other videographers have seen people tossed off the #6 Zephyr here. There isn't bus service to Ft. Morgan anymore. Don't know how the people thrown off continue their trips. Oh well. I agree with you about the headache for the operating crews. There is a stack of paperwork to be completed when they reach Denver. I hope that you have a great Thursday. Train waiting for PD to arrive? When was the PD called? Why did it take so long for the PD to get there? Usually, the PD is waiting for the train to arrive so that assistance is seamless.

And the cab flash from Ollie too. That train got washed at McCook, NE then coated in snow and slush west of there followed by the blast of colder air as they neared the NE/CO state line. That fella was asking for a trip to a VA facility. There is one in Denver that is just a few years old, and the other hospital is in Cheyenne, WY. That facility has a couple of clinics in Fort Collins as they closed the clinic in Greeley. Not the best thing the VA has done. That's why I don't use them even though I am eligible. Yeah that had to not been good trying to get the drunk guy or a drug user guy off the train. Those people like to fight and argue and everything.

That is on the ticket information that he agreed to when he boarded. Gotta read the fine print. His use of a controlled substance did get him tossed.
