I absolutely love your videos!!! And what makes them even better are: 1. There is no annoying intro 2. There no music playing in the background 3. You almost never tell us to subscribe or hit the like button
omid nassir because he knows that we’re most likely to subscribe and like the video if we come to that conclusion ourselves, not when he says it. Kinda like inception
“If you’re especially in your younger 20s, and you’re making your own path, don’t tell people that it’s going to work. Do it, and have the patience to let the results and the proof be in the pudding.” I’m 22, and I have taken some time off from school the past few years. I have been in community college the last couple semesters, but now I feel that I am ready to go off to a four year school again. But I often find myself explaining my plans to other people, especially my parents. This video helped me to realize that a lot of that need to explain is coming from my own insecurities about my plans, and how I’m trying to make my way in the world. I find the quote above simple, yet applicable to my life, and it helps me reassure in my own mind that I am capable of finding my own way in this world. Thank you Charlie for the wonderful advice! I’m so glad that I found your channel!
I'm 19 and I withdrew from the 4-year I attended this past January because of academic and personal pressure and I learned two things from my time there. First, after serious denial, that my parents had basically planned my life out right under my nose, and that I have no idea what I am capable of doing since I didn't know really who I was. Everything felt rushed for so long and I wasn't allowed a voice in my own future, meanwhile throwing out ideas to people who pestered about what I was doing and why. I am still not fully sure (I thought I was supposed to have this eureka moment of "this is exactly what you're supposed to do with the rest of your life in this exact field" based on everyone I asked. Definitely not the case for everyone.) but I'm learning more about myself given how things have gone since I left and with time and work, I can better figure out where I work best and make the most of continuing college when I feel ready to return. Thank you for your story. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one who has needed time at a point so early on to figurine things out.
Ann You’re very welcome. Just know that you do have time to figure your life out. I definitely felt, and sometimes still feel, the very pressure that you’re describing. It is often very difficult, but what I have learned is that you have to take ownership over your life as much as you can. You have to press on, and really try to understand what is the best thing to do for yourself and for your future. And I have a good relationship with my parents, but I’ve had to really detach myself from their way of thinking about my future plans. It has helped me at least get my feelings across to them about my college decisions. That is something that takes a lot of work. But if you’re able to do that and convince yourself and your parents that you can make your own decisions, it will be then that you are in full control. I believe that control in our own life journey is something that we are all striving for. So yeah, like you said, just know that you are not alone in your struggle to find your path. I may not know you, but I believe in you! Take your time, and no matter what, don’t give up! You will find the path in life that you were meant to take.
facts, people will naturally will always want an update like if you're life and plan is some series that views a new episode every Sunday. Keep it to yourself, and enjoy the steady bubble until your dream materializes.
Make lots of money, work your own hours, no experience needed. These are often scams. Telemarketing, door to door, high pressure sales, That talent scout who says you could be a model or singer if you just get a professional portfolio or demo tracks - at your expense will ghost you after they have your check cleared. When your family and friends are telling you not to do something it often isn't that they don't believe in you rather it's that they recognize that the path you are getting ready to turn down is not going to take you in the wrong direction.
Well it's actually worse than that. Point 4 is itself a personal philosophy of His. Argumentation is merely a method of discourse and can be incredibly fruitful if done with a joint desire for truth. I get his point, but he is simply wrong if taken literally. To argue his point is to do exactly what His point is condemning.
Also, advocating for what is essentially a business strategy coupled with a complimentary lifestyle choice is not "arguing over life philosophies" - not even close.
1. If you continue to hear something (particularly criticisms) about yourself, it's probably true. Try to seek out honest criticism . 2. When it comes to negotiation, 90% of success is in starting it. Even if you don't think there is a chance, you never know what might happen if you just ask for it. Don't be afraid of rejection. 3. Scarcity is often just a sales tactic. In your 20s, there is very rarely an opportunity that will be gone forever once you miss it. Don't jump into an opportunity unless you would do it without the scarcity. 4. Arguing over life philosophies is usually a waste of time. Don't try to convince others, JUST DO IT and let your results speak for themselves. 5. Value experience more than book smarts. Often times, you can make incorrect assumptions based on what you read. It's better to experience things firsthand. 6. There is such as thing as a lie of omission. Withholding important information is just as dishonest as saying something untrue. Being honest in sharing ALL of what you have to say goes a long way to improving relationships. 7. Growth often comes when you do the opposite of what was working before. People and times change. Don't cling on to old, rigid axioms that may not apply to you in the present.
I love the fact that you talk faster than most youtubers you’re literally the only person I sit and watch without having to adjust the playback speed to
you know its kinda funny, i was thinking the same thing. 90% of the time i adjust the speed to 2X or 1.75X but not for this guy. It was only 1.25x :-) cheers.
The idea relates to telling someone you're going to run a marathon. People will say 'good job' 'good for you' and psychologically there is a little part of your reward center that feels like you've already ran the marathon, therefore decreasing your motivation to actually do the marathon. Same concept!
@@flopro1 ooooooh... my.... god. I thought about that and you are right. I reflected a few things and in that cases that was true! Hey, thanks for sharing that ♥ I gonna to change that habit. I think this will improve my live, so for real: thank you very much.
@@EpicRekoray no problem!! It's something I've known for a while but don't always put into practice! It's especially hard when someone asks what I'm up to, or what I've been doing or working on, I try to be vague but it can come across as rude sometimes, so I then try to shift the focus back on them instead of talking about myself. Tough to be mindful of, but thanks for your response as a good reminder @Rkry! 🙏🏽
@@flopro1 I think we are able to reshape our reward system in our brains, like anything else - buuut that might be hard work, instead we should learn how to handle that energy to guide it the direction we want to. So, do u know the Achievement Motivation Inventory test - short AMI? Everbody have deeply motivations, a deep reason why we do or dont do something and most of the time we are not aware of that. One big driver In our cases might be the appreciation from the outside . The AMI will give you some deep knowlege about yourself and your motivations and with that you can control that huge energy. I will do the test soon! (:
Enjoyed this quite a bit, but felt compelled to comment. I am entering my 60s and have watched a lot of young folks grow up, friends and family. As someone who cares deeply about young people and their success, I have gone far above and beyond trying to communicate this type of knowledge/wisdom. I reached the conclusion that pretty much everyone in their 20s has heard these messages, but were unable to learn the lessons of life without experience being the teacher. There is only one key thing young people should know. Listen and learn from the experiences shared.
Very well said. It frustrates me no end that my partners teenage children have lots of knowledge but not acquired much through experience, yet hold the belief that the experience doesn't count for much. It's like scoring 100 in the pen and paper learner driver test doesn't mean you can drive.
Perhaps we are meant to make those mistakes. Hearing great advice only works if you are ready for it. And if you are ready for it you were probably about to figure it out on your own anyways
the worst thing that you can do is relate with people older than you. they will always think know better than you and never let you lead. most of people paradigms suck shit but since they are older they are solid. so they will trick you into thinking they are rigth. if you want to influence people you could never influence them. focus on younger people instead.
This is so very true! I'm 30 and i try to teach my little brother (21) some of the things i learnt in my 20s. He doesn't get a lot of it because his brain hasn't matured yet and he hasn't made enough mistakes.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, kudos on having one long uncut/unedited video. Many charisma and advice videos show their hosts speaking well because they were edited that way. Your public speaking ability appears to be immaculate and the single long video proves this.
this comment shows that you have a level of understanding, consciousness and gratitude of no other, I appreciate you and I hope you live happy and long!
#1 doesn't always apply. It only applies when you're in a safe space (as you mentioned) and the criticism is coming from safe people. Sadly many people grow up in abusive homes, find similar relationships as adults, and never know anything else.
I've gotten criticisms from "friends" about my artwork, meanwhile none of them could draw a decent "stick man" to save their life. It's like Katt Williams said, when people tell you to "Do your own thing", they mean to do what THEY think you should do
I thought that he meant from all kinds of people. Like not only your (possibly abusive) family, but also your friends, coworkers, maybe even strangers. I think you should always consider the magnitude of what the other person is criticizing about you. It should take a lot of convincing from more than one group of people to reconsider fundamental life choices, while you can accept minor criticism about your outfit from just a single person. There's also the matter of competence. Seek advice from people who obviously know more than you, not your best friend.
@@11warum11 Yes, I think at the heart of it our thought is the same: consider the source. I think his message is good and applies to most healthy people, but I threw this comment in for the sake of any watching who might be in abusive situations and don't have the maturity to understand that they need to consider all the sources speaking into their lives. My heart really goes out especially to kids who grow up in abusive homes. The reality that is modeled to them is way different than what's actually normal. So as adults, they seek out what they know in terms of relationships, not what is "normal." I realize my comment isn't necessarily helpful to abuse victims, because if they're still in an unhealthy place, they probably don't have the tools to discern who is safe in their life and who is not; and if they are in a healthy place, they've already at least partly learned to realize the difference. But I thought it MIGHT help them not take the message totally to heart - which is probable since it is coming from a charismatic speaker in a power color, and might end up reinforcing some of the abusers' words and tactics.
Man I really keep watching these videos as if I’m going to miraculously gain flourishing charisma and the ability to talk in front of crowds without melting into myself
You will. I as best man gave the speech in front off a large wedding. Now after I actually would be excited to do it again and feel honored I got to represent a great friend into his love and connection. The learning is the knowledge you will use and call on to conquer what is in front of you. Once you gain the experience you will grow the confidence. Call on yourself and you shall appear
The thing that stands out to me is you doing it all in one take. No chopped together edits like is common on TH-cam. Conveys authenticity and shows you are actually what you advertise in these videos.
I'm not sure he will appreciate such personal remarks, but this is the internet I suppose lol. Put your face out there and people will comment on your appearance. Jack Nicholson was practically born to play the joker with his face imo, but heath ledger and J phoenix, I wouldn't say fit the bill... and yet ledger's joker is thought by many to have been the best. My conclusion would be that it takes more than just distinctive features to make a good joker. Makeup and charisma are just as important, as well as acting skills of course.
For number 7 I had a huge personal breakthrough. When I was only 10 I was diagnosed with depression and immediately put on medication. The meds started adding up until by the time I was 22 I was taking 6 different medications and still suffering severe symptoms on and off. Finally I spoke with my doctor and asked for a different approach. I tapered off all of my meds and focused heavily on diet, exercise, and very conscious efforts to change how I viewed events in my life and manage my emotions. I have been medication free for 4 years now and had drastic improvements. Obviously talk to a doctor and do your research when it comes to mental health but know there is more than one solution to a problem.
These tips are life changing! Thank you for sharing Charlie! For me, a thing that has helped me achieve my goals this year is just starting the task, not thinking too much about it but just starting. I got the best results by just starting things I thought I could never do and never imagined I would come this far.
Fernando Gomez de la Torre that helps me as well. I tend to over plan and overthink bc I’m a perfectionist and I always felt like I had to do things perfectly the first time. I get so much more accomplished by just going for it.
Excellent perspective. Thinking about finishing a task before you've even started puts the pressure of the entire process on you all at once, which makes simply starting extraordinarily more difficult.
@@Just-Nikki Like Van Halen says "Go ahead and Jump" I think of the crazy fucks that had the strangest contraptions they were trying to fly in the old newsreels. Attaching wings to themselves, jumping off of buildings. Didn't work out too well, but they weren't on the sidewalk watching. Watchers don't move things forward much.
This is so true. I have a bad habit of procrastinating things if I'm not able to picture exactly how I would do them, especially if I know they involve challenges that I've never faced before. I'm learning that when I start things I can usually figure them out along the way (or even ask for help). I at least figure them out better by starting them than by sitting around thinking about/avoiding/dreading them.
I used to watch these videos when I was younger, and stopped when I got a new computer, and was doing pretty well in general so I no longer searched for these videos and they didn't pop up in my recommendations. I am currently using my old computer, and I'm glad I saw this video. I have been in sort of a rut in the past few years and I really think your videos help me see things more clearly. My confidence has been terrible in every area of my life, even in things that I know I am good at, I still question myself. Thank you for all you do to make these videos, they really can help out those who may not have guidance or any real role models in their life
I wouldnt say never cause thats too extreme, but generally i agree because i would spend a lot time thinking how to justify myself so others can accept me and my choices.
How about You explain yourself so you are NOT misunderstood or have your points misinterpreted? 😱 There are times you MUST explain your points. 😂 Too bad some people are highly judgmental I end up having to "explain myself" a lot in the beginning... it was a tiring effort... I stopped. 😎
I m 19 and I have felt all of these things myself especially about not blindly following elders.. my mom is ideal but her suggestions have made me stagnant a couple of times. The one I found the most valuable was about scarcity. You're great👍👍
I agree with the “stop explaining yourself” thing. You look like you’re in your twenties btw. I’m in my late twenties now and I finally stopped explaining myself this year. It’s POWERFUL.
My mom's very soon turning 50, and she's STILL doing it for almost everything. She even explains why she does you a favour, and how it's just a convenience for her. She even explains herself if it's just some neutral unimportant thing such as she's using a spoon to scratch the remains of something in a bowel because it's more efficient. I'm like: "WHY DO I HAVE TO KNOW THIS??"
Did you watch the video? Or just comment on the picture? Cuz I have seen a couple comments like yours but haven't heard that said in the video. I don't understand commenting like you watched and liked the video but couldn't take the time to actually watch it
@@christking85 was thinking the same thing. Watched the same thing, and picked up he doesn't say jack all about "stopping explaining yourself". I would have been keen to hear more about it though. Not sure why he's use it as a bait to get views.
Wait, you're 31?! Damn, you look so much younger. Are you by any chance related to Keanu Reeves? AKA the immortal vampire action star that hasn't aged in 25 years and will probably outlive us all to the heat death of the universe?
Ajith Thomas Keanu Reeves! Lol I thought I was the only one that notice this dude hadn't aged since the matrix films. What the hell is his secret? Does he soak himself in rhino piss an hour a day or something? Lol
Yeah, Keanu being some ageless immortal is such a meme that it even appears in his work. I remember that a Squarespace as starring Keanu Reeves advertising his motorbike business featured the implication of him being immortal. And then there’s that hilarious “Quantum Chess: Paul Rudd vs Stephen Hawking” video that also had Keanu as an ageless immortal. Hilarious.
He’s pretty much the same age as Lawrence fishburne, the guy he starred with in the matrix. I.e. Neo and Morpheus. But even then Morpheus looks twice his age. Think it’s like 2/3 years different but still.
It's been 4 years since I completely shifted some of my life's paradigms. And I feel now that it really was the best choice, but tremendous growth comes with a lot pains you have to surpass. I must say dude, I found your channel a few days ago and I'm learning a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience 😁
I feel like that goes in line with the argueing of philosophies. He didnt need to explain why doing the things he read in the book were better for his folks and such he shouldve just went and did it, as he said.
Rule number 8: if your body part or a piece of clothing just starts mildly smelling funny , it means that to others it smells like a rotten rat and they probably smelled it long time ago and talked about how disgusting you are by now.
19 year old here, thank you for the insight, Charisma! I’ve been watching this channel for a few years now, and you give best most genuine tips. Perfect balance between under/over confidence.
When he said "I'm 31" I was like NO WAY, he is 9 years older than me. Please make a video about how charisma can make us look younger. Shout out from Brazil, by the way!
Great advice. Number one is not always going to be true especially if you grew up in a narcissistic community and you are being gaslighted. I was in an abusive relationship for years because people kept telling me it was my fault for not putting up with it for misinterpreting the obvious abuse etc etc. When was actually happening is that he had value to them and I had none. Sometimes people don't want to believe that but there is the other end of the spectrum or bell curve if you will. just putting that out there just in case there are any other people out there who are in unhealthy toxic possibly narcissistic relationships.
I think these are really valuable takeaways, but in order to really understand each of these concepts, I think you have to live through them. You have to have the personal story of YOU experiencing each one of these mistakes, feeling the consequences of them, and then experimenting with a different way of approaching them. And I think that's a really long process that is really hard to accelerate. Good on you for trying though Charlie, I bet you're helping a lot of people.
Why It's Trending that’s a good point but I feel like most people have experienced some or most of these situations at some point already, and felt the consequences of them but maybe not quite made the link yet. This video helped me identity mistakes I’ve made before so now I can be more aware of how I handle the same situations next time. I agree with you about needing to experience them yourself though
I agree with you. It was really unsettling for a video to have pieces of discrete content so dense, packed in such a short duration. I mean, these life lessons are some of the really significant ones which many of us don't stumble upon soon enough or atleast learn to imbibe until quite later (or never). But it just felt wrong for them to be mentioned like a bullet list. This is some heavy stuff. It should be treated accordingly. I still appreciate the video though, really good stuff. Didn't see it in one go. Stopped after point 4. Will pick up from there later. I am going to take my time to digest it. And yeah, like you and this video said, point 4 would apply to this video in a meta-sorta way too.
@@anshul_himself I think this is still a really valuable video though, don't get me wrong. Like in hindsight after re-reading my original comment, I think videos like this that are available to young people are much better than the alternative, where these videos don't exist. Or even worse, videos that preach the opposite, or videos devoid of any self-improvement concepts at all. Charlie's channel has helped me a ton in my own personal growth and development, and even if you can't apply these strategies in any sort of practical every day sense, it still plants a seed. And that seed starts your thinking. And thinking eventually becomes actions. So honestly, in hindsight, I think watching this channel is a really great way to plant seeds in your subconscious mind to start to begin thinking about ideas like this. I know I sound like a tool. But that's what I think.
Charlie, I just found your videos today in 2021, I think they are fantastic! I've been to many seminars as a sales guy and have heard or learned many of the tips you offer starting at age 18. It's all worked very well so far, I'm now 57, self-employed, and work only a few hours a week to enjoy everything that's important in life. I would recommend to any young person to listen and practice the ideas and concepts you promote. Keep it up.
8 Everything is situational Here's the opposite list : 1 Believe in yourself 2 A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush 3 Opportunity doesn't knock twice 4 Communication is the exchange of ideas, thoughts and feelings 5 Knowledge is power 6 The longer the explanation the bigger the lie 7 Growth comes from continually doing something Take from it what you want
Terence Hill yeh but he did mention, “sometimes” or “for some people.” for example, just because an opportunity only comes once, doesn’t mean you NEED to take it, or even that you’d be happy doing so.
@@luzbenitez1799 when was the last time via discussion somebody changed your mind on a life topic? If they did, it's probably a sign you're insecure, gullible or under 14
@@predraggrujic2239 Predrag Grujic That is sarcasm right? Just in case it's not, I think it's worth saying that in fact I think if you haven't ever changed your mind after discussing something then you are in fact the one that is 'insecure, gullible, or under 14'. I think it is ludicrous to assume that your views must be correct and even more so that you must argue for them and against other views and then be 'beaten' to change your mind. The world is an extremely complex place, humans are extremely complex beings with vastly different experiences, I don't think any of us can expect to have any of the answers, nevermind all of them, and I think we should all be eager to hear new viewpoints and opinions and to then apply that information to our own ideas and views and see what changes (and of course be prepared to allow the changes to occur). Again, sorry if I am in fact preaching to the choir, it just comes across like you were being sincere and I wouldn't want someone reading to get confused.
I understand that this may hurt you, and that's normal - it's a jerky thing to insult someone. But I believe this is your opportunity to reflect on yourself once more; not to necessarily think that you are defined by the insult, but rather the criticism itself. This means that you have to work on your self-esteem, observe your lifestyle and choices that affect your charisma, confidence, etc. It may be a challenge but you got this, Cemil!
This was really great advice...particularly the last point. I’m changing my habits. I have enough information to be politically active, and I wish to create opportunities for a healthy exchange of ideas rather than the bullying that we often see today when politics are discussed. It has really worked out well so far, and improved the trust between myself and friends/family.
Asking others for feedback on yourself can be life-changing. I was 60 before I realized I had Asperger's. No one mentioned it to me because they assumed I knew. It is unimaginable how different my life could have been had I known that.

This will most probably go unread, however, I just wanted to thank you for this channel. About two hours ago I discovered this channel and i have been watching your videos continuously only to take a break to discuss ideas, that you have brought up, with friends and my dad. Wow your little learning curbs makes me appreciate being an empath. Your list makes me realise why you made this channel. It's because you were so hopeless and needed to learn.
@OnThisSideoftheSky You sure cha cha is the dance to go with? I think salsa better fits the point you're trying to make given that cha is supposed to be quite sexy, sassy and also rather technique heavy (like all of the "Latin and ballroom 10 dance" dances). On the other hand, as I understand it, salsa is much more relaxed, it's a lead and follow dance (cha will almost exclusively be danced as a routine) and a lot of people have their own "interpretation" of the style and technique. Also, sorry if I've just over explained and stolen the thunder from what may actually have been just a light point you were trying to make, it's 3AM and I've got an opportunity to talk about dancing, what else am I going to do?

I have been stuck so many times in life. What made the difference? One, moving out of my parents during high school. I have quite several jobs because I have gotten stuck. I started this TH-cam Channel and as a main money maker while I grew this channel, I was a personal trainer at a box office gym. I got the most stuck in my life during that job, so I quite that job and became a solo trainer while I grew this channel. Now, I am slowly moving towards becoming fulltime on TH-cam, helping people without actually sliding a card. That's my favorite.
Yeah if I listened to all the people that told me I was mainly ugly when I was young and weird I basically could just commit suicide for how pathetic I was according to something different people that had no connection to each other would say about me. Now I have a girlfriend, tons of outgoing friends and I'm succesful in university. Don't ever listen to what people tell you, except when you see it yourself (and not after killing your self esteem so bad that you will start seeing the negative things about yourself, but after the first times people tell you).
Probably depends on what they're telling you... If they say you talk a lot, you probably do. If it's something you can obviously control, it's probably true If someone calls you ugly or something, that's an opinion.
Nah, not really. Never had friends but I've never been bullied. Had people say things like "I look like a serial killer" rarely but I mean just don't pay attention to it and you'll be 10/10
@@Miscelanou You are making no sense whatsoever. Whether you should take what others say about you seriously depends on a lot of factors. Who says it? Are they usually reliable? Do they have a reason to lie? Are they independent of each other or might they all influence each other? How likely is that thing in the first place. If someone says that I'm an elepahnt, that's not something I can control, but I still won't believe it, because elephants usually don't walk on two legs and operate computers. If someone says I should be more assertive, I am more inclined to believe it, because people being not assertive enough is a common phenomenon.
Something that I have to add to point 3 is When for example something originally costs 10 bucks and it's currently 40% off, you don't save 4 bucks, you spend 6. If you end up buying everything you see is on sale, just because you think you are saving on money, your pocket will still run dry at some point.

A book by Chris Voss, Never Split The Difference, essentially addresses half of these. It's about learning to negotiate in pretty much every area of your life. From business purposes to personal/love life. And he's worth listening to; He has 25 years experience as a professional FBI negotiator who went to one of the premiere and well known ivy league colleges in one of their business classes and pretty much made fools of those enrolled straight out of the gate. The first 3 chapters are alone worth the price of admission. There are 10 chapters so PLENTY to digest.
I love when he said that because that's the exact thing I thought. I thought I'd never dance, and that it was for girls, and lo and behold I ended up loving it. Then I see him post a clip in the corner of him doing the same dancing that I do. I felt instantly connected.
this video is old but it was recommended to me, so I gave it a watch and dude...point no. 4 speaks volumes. not only do I do this with myself (trying to convince _myself_ that the path I'm choosing will be worth it in the end), but some of my close relatives do this. this video is such an eye opener. thank you very much. :)
Rule #4 actually resonates with me so much. I did the same as you, telling people how’s we all gotta be investors and business owners through online so we can seize mobility and financial freedom. But I realized I did this to also affirm myself. I did not think that this doesn’t apply to everyone. Everyone has their own freedom I guess and all I can do is hold it to myself. One of my super trader friend also taught me silence is key 🔑 I am 24 and I started doing everything opposite like 2 years ago. I have seen more growth in this short 2 years than when I was going to school for 16 years!
Most people I know that didn't get fat or didn't do drugs and alcohol ( this is eliminating the majority of people) don't really show any aging until the late thirties or so. 25-35 should be your physical prime. If you're talking about how you feel older in your late twenties and early thirties you're probably reaping the the bad habits you've sown.
People really fuck up on the exercise front. It arguably makes the largest difference to slowing down intrinsic ageing (which is minimal at 30 anyway) alongside sleep and stress. Then not abusing the sun / cigarettes / alcohol takes care of the extrinsic stuff.
@@MrTimmywizzle I'm 28 and you'd be surprised how many people I know think they're "aging " at 25-30. There's almost always a lot a drug/alcohol use in their past.
@@OldSchopenhauer What a lot of people perceive as 'ageing' is more the by-product of years of sedentary living. If you took a 20 year old, 'cured' them of cellular ageing and then put them through 10 years of living like the average Westerner lives you'd notice a significant difference by the time they were 30. When a significant number of 25-30 year old men haven't done regular exercise since they were 16 and had mandatory PE classes at school it's little surprise that they're feeling the effects of having next to no muscle tone and a bit of fat 10 years later.

Well, he made his own path instead of slaving his 20s away 🤭
“If you’re especially in your younger 20s, and you’re making your own path, don’t tell people that it’s going to work. Do it, and have the patience to let the results and the proof be in the pudding.”
I’m 22, and I have taken some time off from school the past few years.
Telemarketing, door to door, high pressure sales,
That talent scout who says you could be a model or singer if you just get a professional portfolio or demo tracks - at your expense will ghost you after they have your check cleared.
When your family and friends are telling you not to do something it often isn't that they don't believe in you rather it's that they recognize that the path you are getting ready to turn down is not going to take you in the wrong direction.
Thinking of doing the same thing. How'd it work for you?
Regarding point 4: Arguing about personal philosophies is a waste of time. Discussing them on the other hand is extremely valuable.
Indeed.
Marshall!!!!!!!
@@WhitePikminPro "can be incredibly fruitful if done with a joint desire for truth" So, basically never.
1. If you continue to hear something (particularly criticisms) about yourself, it's probably true.

.

The idea relates to telling someone you're going to run a marathon. People will say 'good job' 'good for you' and psychologically there is a little part of your reward center that feels like you've already ran the marathon, therefore decreasing your motivation to actually do the marathon. Same concept!

This is so incredibly true. Well said!

@@charlesahweyevu Lol that's true. I was referring to the healthy communication that's supposed to happen in relationships.

Nothing but a dirty rotten liar, I am.
#1 doesn't always apply. It only applies when you're in a safe space (as you mentioned) and the criticism is coming from safe people. Sadly many people grow up in abusive homes, find similar relationships as adults, and never know anything else.
I guess that's why it says "probably true"
But I thought it MIGHT help them not take the message totally to heart - which is probable since it is coming from a charismatic speaker in a power color, and might end up reinforcing some of the abusers' words and tactics.
i agree with you.

My conclusion would be that it takes more than just distinctive features to make a good joker. Makeup and charisma are just as important, as well as acting skills of course.
WE DONT NEED MORE JOKERS!
@@Just-Nikki yes, thanks for sharing your view!
Excellent perspective. Thinking about finishing a task before you've even started puts the pressure of the entire process on you all at once, which makes simply starting extraordinarily more difficult.

This is so true. I have a bad habit of procrastinating things if I'm not able to picture exactly how I would do them, especially if I know they involve challenges that I've never faced before. I'm learning that when I start things I can usually figure them out along the way (or even ask for help). Sometimes people don't want to believe that but there is the other end of the spectrum or bell curve if you will. just putting that out there just in case there are any other people out there who are in unhealthy toxic possibly narcissistic relationships.
Currently 21. This was very valuable. Thank you.
@@yipi9162 you right.
No no no sure some people have to learn the hard way but I just need to hear the advice or see someone else struggle to know not to do something
Keep it up.
8 Everything is situational
Here's the opposite list
:
1 Believe in yourself
2 A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
3 Opportunity doesn't knock twice
4 Communication is the exchange of ideas, thoughts and feelings
5 Knowledge is power
6 The longer the explanation the bigger the lie
7 Growth comes from continually doing something
Take from it what you want
Terence Hill yeh but he did mention, “sometimes” or “for some people.” for example, just because an opportunity only comes once, doesn’t mean you NEED to take it, or even that you’d be happy doing so.
For #4 he said arguing not discussing, that are two different forms of comunicating something, I guess
These aren't opposite at all...

"now that i'm 31..."
wait what
Well, people always said I'm ugly..
BITCH SAME HAHAHAHA NOW I JUST ACCEPT IT XD
The way you view yourself is your choice. Don't let others words change the quality of your life or self esteem :p
You probabbly are learn to accept it
Cemil PCMR man don’t care human being not just can (body)
Human being (soul / Heart / Mind)

This was really great advice...particularly the last point. I’m changing my habits. I have enough information to be politically active, and I wish to create opportunities for a healthy exchange of ideas rather than the bullying that we often see today when politics are discussed. It has really worked out well so far, and improved the trust between myself and friends/family.
"Pause." is actually my new life motto. Thank you!
When I was 18 my father knew nothing, when I reached 21 I was shocked by how much he had learnt. 🤣😂
Asking others for feedback on yourself can be life-changing. I was 60 before I realized I had Asperger's. No one mentioned it to me because they assumed I knew. It is unimaginable how different my life could have been had I known that.
Are you related to Emilia Clarke? That eyebrow & mouth movement is so exciting and makes what you're saying more interesting. Glad to have come across your channel!
I'm kind of confused. The thumbnail says "STOP EXPLAINING YOURSELF", but I feel like that idea wasn't addressed adequately. Is the thumbnail a mistake?
He didn't talk about that because that would mean explaining himself

One thing I wanna ask.. How can you speak for 10 minutes straight without pausing or cutting any parts of the video? Are you memorizing everything or is there a prompter action going on? Thanks!

This will most probably go unread, however, I just wanted to thank you for this channel. About two hours ago I discovered this channel and i have been watching your videos continuously only to take a break to discuss ideas, that you have brought up, with friends and my dad. You have provided real intellectual stimulation and provoked an inquisitive nature within myself as to why social interactions go as they do and in what ways ( as well as why) we can improve them and gain the desired result. Thank you very much and I look forward to watching the rest of your extensive library of videos.

I don't think it's skin care, it's mainly cause he has a baby face. I mean his skin is great, don't get me wrong.
I'm 37 and look about the same age as him. The trick is to not have kids and drink plenty of whiskey. At least, that's what I think is what worked for me.
Literally just wear sunscreen, every day. Seriously. Wearing sunscreen is the most proven and effective way to prevent wrinkles. Stop tanning, people.

How is that rude?
Just bookmarked your channel. So much value!
A charisma guru having things he wished somebody would tell him in his 20's just reinforce the fact that nobody in their 20's will actually listen to all these warnings.
Not when their parents tell them but when a handsome guy in the internet says it,it sounds more acceptable to them for sure since he is younger and more relatable to them...damn I wish I had the power of fast and in your pocket internet in my 20's😩
@@sn6953 also it sounds more objecticve coming from someone who's main deal is teaching this stuff and not someone that tries to teach through personal anecdote or loose teaching

I got taken aback when he said "now that I'm 31." Where? You look 22 at most!
If it's something you can obviously control, it's probably true
If someone calls you ugly or something, that's an opinion.
Larry Pavone have you ever been bullied? I really wish it was that simple
Nah, not really. Never had friends but I've never been bullied. Had people say things like "I look like a serial killer" rarely but I mean just don't pay attention to it and you'll be 10/10
@@Miscelanou
You are making no sense whatsoever.
@Taxtro
That's literally what I said
Something that I have to add to point 3 is
When for example something originally costs 10 bucks and it's currently 40% off, you don't save 4 bucks, you spend 6.

My final month of being 20. Thanks for this Charlie.
You make a lot of good points, sir. You must’ve had one hell of an adventure in your life.
