    I think it just comes down to "everyone loves being around happy people" and happiness comes from not taking yourself too seriously

    • @Jesses001
      @Jesses001 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      That surely helps a lot. Being around someone who is always negative and down can be so draining. Happy energy begets happy energy.

      @LollieVox ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Trust me, I feel like I’m a happy fun person, but sometimes don’t say the things that will bond-just not great at this. I need help with these things….why I subscribed

    • @perrobravoperocastrado2286
      @perrobravoperocastrado2286 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LollieVox......................Absolutely! These are natural traits that some people possess that manifest genuinely! One can pretend or actually feel and act happy all the time, but the feeling doesn’t always become contagious, it may seem forced at times and have the total opposite effect! Them peoples are the lucky ones!
      I mean, Pedro is considered a total heartthrob, ranking along with the best, and yet, he is not particularly handsome, at least not by current general standards (my opinion only as well), but he has such a contagiously magnetic personality that he achieves such a status with little effort. Now he has a ton of sincere humility and that benefits his personality enormously!
      But there’s yet hope for the likes of us (sorry, I don’t know anything about you, I’m just going by what you said, in any case, I’m speaking mainly about myself), it is possible to learn and acquire these traits to the point that they become natural, it just takes a lot of practice and hard work. This channel is a good start I suppose. Charisma on Command is my favorite channel for learning this type of skills, they have tons of videos ranging from an endless supply of subjects regarding charisma and positive/magnetic personality traits!
      Disclaimer: I swear that I am not affiliated with the channel in any manner, nor am I attempting to promote or advertise anything that they might offer... seriously! Just a big fan! And I talk a lot garbage too!

      which is kind of ironic, though it does make sense. we like being around people who make us laugh or feel good about ourselves. but if one is depressed, has low self-esteem or is unfriendly, that may make people avoid them. which, in turn, could make them feel more lonely and/or cynical.

    • @justincombs7433
      @justincombs7433 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      This right here. Introverts like myself struggle with this, not because we're too serious, but that social anxiety kicks in, and everything we want to share that makes us happy, seems silly and we close up. It just takes us a little longer to open up to folks.

    Years ago I realized how often I thought positive things about people but NEVER spoke them. I later made the New Year’s resolution to “never withhold a compliment”. If I thought something positive about anyone be it a stranger or someone I knew I would approach them, text them, whatever and tell them the compliment. It made a HUGE difference in my own life and hope in the lives of others.

    Watching this reminds me of the last time I tried a narcissist joke but it fell apart in the dumbest way possible. I was with a group of friends and were discussing about sorting out something. I gave a pretty good suggestion and everyone was like "whoa" and one was like damn that's clever. I wanted to go like something like "Yes, of course, I'm smart" along that line. But what came out instead was..."Ha! ...*mind went blank and couldn't form the words I wanted to say* Me...smarts!" I caught myself after saying it so my face was like WTF. Everyone's reaction was like wot before laughing their asses off. A friend remarked "Man...I was looking at you in a moment of awe then you turned into a bloody caveman."

      Also, I think this video gets the whole "narcissist joke" thing wrong, because it's assumed that Pedro Pascal or other actors aren't narcissists. They are, and they're not joking. They're just delivering their narcissism in a way that they've learned keeps people around them.

      I’m not sure that you are. Victim mentality only creates a bond with like-minded people. Nobody enjoys the company of eternal victims except for other eternal victims. Once you can drop that and start living your full life, not based in some bad experience, a whole beautiful world with wonderful people opens up. Scary af, I know, but so worth it. I don’t care how bad it was, step away from the PTSD label and live your life. You are somewhat open to that or you wouldn’t have been watching this video. It is really worth it.

    I feel like there’s a subtle line between laughing at yourself and humiliating yourself in terms of comedy. A lot of humor has gone into joking “how fragile my mental health is”, which can be coping, but long-term can actually be self-berating. Pedro laughing at himself is still a self-recognition & acknowledgement that he’s funny (which he naturally is!) He hasn’t put himself down, which might also contribute to him being such a happy person.

    The main reason people love Pedro is that he’s wildly successful and famous at the moment. The same thing happened to Robert Downy Junior a few years back. Sure they have social skills, but the success puts everything they say/do on an amazing pedestal that’s hard to replicate if you’re not at that point.

    I always laugh at myself first, when somebody’s teasing me in public. It’s an interesting phenomenon that happens to me. It really does work in making people like you a LOT.

    I have a few comments for those watching. If you are using the "I don't think I should tell you this" hook, be sure to commit to the story you are telling afterward. Tell the story with confidence. Remember that people often rely on cues from you on how to feel about you, so use that hook before a story you are genuinely comfortable sharing. Otherwise, you are cueing them to feel a bit ashamed for listening. If you actually don't want to share something, people will sense that, and you will deliver the story in a way that does not convey confidence, making others uncomfortable because you seem uncomfortable.

    I love the impact you've had with people who struggle with the ever shifting nuanced( be it setting, personal dynamic or merely timing) of sociological interaction! I subconsciously abide by a whole lot of these techniques and I still have aspects I can learn. Seeing how others utilize similar communication tactics as well as what they are called makes me aware that I as skilled as I am I still can benefits and progress. Inarguably, if you practice what this channel is informing you of without being overbearing, you will be just grand!
    Post Script, A piece of my own advice would be to never try too hard. It can come off as desperate or try-hard(whether it be romantically or to a random person/friend. Do your best to enjoy these interaction in order to HAVE FUN!! That's the end result and objective. If you read my whole diatribe, thanks sooo much and you got this ❤🎉
    Practice, learn, repeat.

    Good luck, you got this!

    Hey guys can y'all please, please do a video on James Spader's character of Raymond “Red” Reddington from The Blacklist, i mean not only is he a total badass but he's also super smart and confident and doesn't care what others think of him at all, he would be great to do a video on i think.

    Hi, Charlie. My name is Nikita and I am from the North. I've got an idea for you that you're going to like: do a self-dissection. From where? Like from your podcasts or from Improv & Dragons. I think that would be interesting. Sorry for my English, but if I said it wrong, let me clarify: My idea is that you create a video where you take apart the charisma of Charlie Houpert. I hope you like this idea. I will be very happy to get your feedback. Thank you)

    love this channel so much genuinely, quick question tho for the comment surfers out there. anyone else autistic and literally watches this channel to learn how to make conversation with people and be more likable in general bc the "normal" ways of integrating with people doesn't come naturally to you? no? just me? cool, well have a wonderful day yall! lmao

    And the truth is either you have this or you don't. Perdo hasnt learned this via a class some people just know all of this without even knowing they know. Which makes it more authentic cause you know it's natural.
