Perhaps I just suck, but then again, I managed to keep a consistent A/S rank in the other 3 zero games AND beat ZX on hardmode including Revamped Omega. Holy shit zero 2 in terms of stage and boss design is fucking bullshit.
A Legends Collection would be neat although there is only 2 of those games. Unless it also included Misadventures of Tron Bonne despite it being a rather obscure spinoff title. Some kind of Battle Network collection seems to be trending upwards for next year potentially however.
I never played those games, so I'm not nearly as excited about their return as I am excited about your return to reviewing video games. I'm glad you're back!
I was literally watching your videos for the zero series and now you're reviewing this! PS I actually Pre-Ordered the game on the eshop, PPS I always thought you were the guy from the SomeCallMeJohnny youtube channel cuz you sound just like him lol :P
While a Legends Collection would be nice, I'm seeing it more likely that we're gonna be getting a Mega Man Battle Network Collection, next. Two reasons why: 1. The Z/ZX Collection Gallery has artwork for the Z-Saver (mistranslated Z-Saber) Battle Chip, which is a rather odd thing to include even if Zero is on the art. Very likely a MMLC2 type thing where artwork in a gallery is included as an extra to show things to come. 2. There's actually a BN Mobile game in the works (getting developed in studio in Capcom, no less), so we're likely to get a coincidal release to maximize hype.
The virtual console release for the Battle Network games also included a bunch of small fixes to the original games, meaning someone at the company seems to give a damn about them.
Also the Battle Network Games sold really well. Battle Network 4 was the last game in the franchise to sell over 1 million units prior to the classic legacy collection
Mad respect to them including the uncompressed audio and video for dialogue and cutscenes. I was looking for an excuse to spend the money and that'll do.
Your reviews actually made me a megaman fan as i started playing megaman zero 3 because of that review you made and it made me play all megamn zero games and the x games so continue on making this vids in youtube
Awesome video man! I've been so hype about this collection, more than any of the other collections. I'd also absolutely LOVE a legends legacy collections and maybe a battle network collection. But ZX3 is my ultimate dream. Let us pray.
As someone who can't get the PAL versions of the ZX games for a decent price, this collection was an absolute necessity. It's one of the best compilations I've seen in recent memory. Also, I love that they even gave Battle Network some love, as crossover assets like the art for BN4 and BN5's Z-Saber chip exists within the gallery.
Save assist actually very helpful because it helps you with the ranking for 2, 3 and 4 because even if you died, Lives will not be lost and it will not affected your score or achievement. Making effectively obtaining EX Skill is much easier.
I liked ZLC because I could not play the ZX games, so I got the Zero and ZX games on my Switch. Plus, Save Assist is excellent because now I don't need to worry about lives.
So it took me quite a while to download the game, but as soon as I tried it I jumped into ZX. Was greatly impressed by the solution for the touchscreen, and loved the dubbing/video improvements. But as soon as I got my first game over it I got a flashback to your ZX/Advent review; the Save Assists essentially eliminate the lives complaint entirely. The game just respawns you to the last save assist checkpoint with no lives lost. There's obviously a drop in difficulty, but I don't care since it made the experience waaaay more enjoyable. For example, I got a Lv4 Victory on the first model boss just because of the save assist, and I knew full well I would've reset until I got it if I didn't. Capcom did a wonderful job with this port.
i never personally played megaman zero or zx games, always been a classic and x fan so im glad this came to current consoles for new fans or returning fans. z chaser sounds fun but i havent tried it yet but i hope this collection sales enough to keep mega man as a whole well and alive.
The only bad part of the Legacy Collection is that the remastered Zero\ZX music albums (which are objectively better than the original GBA score) that were released by Capcom aren't included as an option for the music Thankfully there's a mod that restores the remastered songs, and it's amazing! (that and the disturbing lack of the audio dramas pertaining stuff like Elpizo's backstory but that's a lesser issue) Other than that it's honestly the best way to play all these games!
I loved the intro to this video J XD I'm a simple person so maybe it's different for others but that got a good laugh out of me. Also I'm so glad you're staying J! The filter that adds that “static” makes it look like you are playing on the gba and looking at a gba screen. Best used if you play this on hand held for the switch.
Or the CRT tv used with the GameCube GBA adapter.
It's great to see you back with Mega Man finally! Although the curiosity as to what you'll say about the ZX and ZX advent review is killing me
now that we have been blessed with another great collection, just need the battle network collection now.
Would love to see an Azure Striker Gunvolt review!
Yes please! Dragon Marked for Death too!
I just hope the next collection will be of the MegaMan Battle Network series. I loved that series as a kid
Amazing video I was excited when you said you would be reviewing it. Keep up the good work
You can rebind controls in Z Chaser. Before you enter a stage, go to settings and you can rebind the controls as you please.
yo man i just es wanted to tell you that i love your content. i’ve been recently getting really into mega man and your vids came at the most perfect time. keep up the good work my guy
Why do you have a barney avatar?
now we need the battle network legacy collection.
all 6 battle network games with link options and doubleteam ds.
Thanks for the review J. I was very happy when you reviewed every MMZ game and I'm so happy you continue to bring attention to the zero series.
Well everyone needs a break to avoid hating what you once loved. Good to see you back, J
Honestly if we do get a mega Man Legends collection I would be happy with that that would be awesome
I'm just here to say that i'm still enjoying X6. Yes i keep hearing the Opening Stage Theme when i'm on the bus. And Gate's laboratory is still my favorite stage :D
More J's Reviews?! More Megaman?! DOOOOOOD! I'M HYPED!!
may I ask why your ZX and ZXA reviews got hidden? I want to rewatch them
In Z Chaser you rebind your controls from the start race screen. (Its on the bottom)
Add a online/offline VS. mode to the MegaMan ZX collection and I will be happy!
Me preordering the game: omg i cant wait i used to love these games
Me getting through zero 1: ok forgot about the grind... Oh well i think it gets better
Me, in zero 2, after three resets because lmao ranking and gg ex skills: god fucking dammit...
My main problem so far in Z1 and Z2 is the fucking enemy placement. It’s atrocious, like X6 tier. Because the screen crunch won’t let me see anything in coming, I just end up bumping into everything.
@@spaciala25 right? before the anti-insta-ded elf it was a big freaking problem, and you do not get that elf until later and even then you need even better performance if you want the ex skills
Los Pikklez Duuuuude, after re-playing the zero series, I thought i just sucked at the game and gave zero 2 another shot.....Nope, fuck zero 2, the soundtrack is magnificent and the story nearly made me tear up (R.I.P X) but, the level design and the fucking bosses drive me up a wall.
"So next in the chronological order is the Legends series!"
Um, yeah, about that...
Mega man reviews sure has helped J’s reviews channel a lot
So so happy your channel is continuing. Love your Mega Man, Metal Gear, and DCAU videos.
I was literally watching your videos for the zero series and now you're reviewing this! PS I actually Pre-Ordered the game on the eshop, PPS I always thought you were the guy from the SomeCallMeJohnny youtube channel cuz you sound just like him lol :P
Ok so can i just say that the background on the title screen and the menus when picking the game you want to play is fucking amazing
Lol I finished marathoning your Zero/ZX review series like an hour before I got this notification. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Dope to see you make a video on this. I think they put the static filter in for anyone who played them on the gamecube-GBA player thingy.
While a Legends Collection would be nice, I'm seeing it more likely that we're gonna be getting a Mega Man Battle Network Collection, next. Two reasons why:
J reviewing Mega Man again? NANI???
Mad respect to them including the uncompressed audio and video for dialogue and cutscenes. I was looking for an excuse to spend the money and that'll do.
Also much love to ace attorney cant wait to check it out!
I am screaming !! Love to see someone that shares the same live ad me for Megaman as a whole back at it against !! Wish you the best J.
Take a shot everytime J uses an acronym in his reviews
Your reviews actually made me a megaman fan as i started playing megaman zero 3 because of that review you made and it made me play all megamn zero games and the x games so continue on making this vids in youtube
Awesome video man! I've been so hype about this collection, more than any of the other collections. I'd also absolutely LOVE a legends legacy collections and maybe a battle network collection. But ZX3 is my ultimate dream. Let us pray.
Never seen you physically, that look is what i think when i think of a gamer youtuber.
Good video man.
I'm getting this game tomorrow. I have wanting to play this series for a long long time since I was a kid. Now I'm finally getting that chance!
I'm sure another legacy collection will probably be Battle Network, especially since MMZ had connections with .EXE
I can't wait to get this collection for myself.
So now that video game reviews are back, what reviews should we be expecting the most?
Emulators for the DS are a thing, but I'll buy it just because I love the Zero games
yeah but ds emulation was very iffy. some games ran fine others not so much.
@@megamike15 Never had an issue with any game. What emulator did you use?
@@bloodmoonangel8925 What emulator do you use
Save assist actually very helpful because it helps you with the ranking for 2, 3 and 4 because even if you died, Lives will not be lost and it will not affected your score or achievement. Making effectively obtaining EX Skill is much easier.
I liked ZLC because I could not play the ZX games, so I got the Zero and ZX games on my Switch. Plus, Save Assist is excellent because now I don't need to worry about lives.
i really enjoy your reviews and your lets go action with the z music was perfect
I just Beat ZX.
18 Hours of playtime.
Amazing adventure.
Gonna start ZX Advent now.
Glad to hear you're doing well J. Keep on reviewing. You're good at it.
The only bad part of the Legacy Collection is that the remastered Zero\ZX music albums (which are objectively better than the original GBA score) that were released by Capcom aren't included as an option for the music
Thankfully there's a mod that restores the remastered songs, and it's amazing! (that and the disturbing lack of the audio dramas pertaining stuff like Elpizo's backstory but that's a lesser issue)
Other than that it's honestly the best way to play all these games!
Me: Oh boy! Can't wait to replay all these other games!
Also me: Oh no! I have to replay Zero 1 again!
I loved the intro to this video J XD I'm a simple person so maybe it's different for others but that got a good laugh out of me. Also I'm so glad you're staying J! Your versatility in videos didn't make me think less of you or your channel. I didn't watch the DC videos at first but when I got to them I did like & appreciate them. So thank you for the content you make for us!
Amazing review man 👍🏻
The z series is my favorite out of all the megaman games so this made me happy as heck.
Some of the best games ever🙂
I love your videos. Keep them coming don’t stop it’s your channel. Do whatever you want. Also you know what I would love to see? A remaster for Mega Man X Command Mission. That would be dope
Happy 50k !
The biggest plus for this collection is that these games feel absolutely incredible to finally be played with a real controller.
These games are some of my favorites the collection just arrived at my house today🙂
@@Raymond-Reddington88 good luck finding time to sleep. I one shot the whole series before Animal Crossing came out and holy smokes was I tired after. I couldn't put it down.
I got this game on Xbox yesterday and I’m loving it!
This collection had an incredibly awesome box art.
I just bought this entire collection, and funny thing is: this is my first time playing through these games! Im a big fan of Megaman in general, but i was never able to find these games as a kid, so I’m glad I finally get the chance. And so far I’m having a lot of fun. Heck, I dare say even a lot more fun than when I played the X games.
The intro is giving early TH-cam and I love it
For the longest time I thought you were using a Nintendo button layout so when you went “I want jump on X” I was so confused
Huge fan of your videos
If there is a Legends Legacy Collection (and I am dying for one), they need to give all three games the Halo Anniversary treatment where you can switch between updated, remastered, next-gen graphics and sounds and original, classic, PS1 graphics and sounds on the fly.
You can change your controls in Z Chaser by pressing plus in the menu before the speedrun starts. It just opens the pause screen for the game
