Yes you're right! Im using the pen holder that comes with the Artist 12 Pro that XP-Pen sent me a few months earlier than this one (the pen is very similar so it fits the same. Im not even sure if it sells separately...
(Note: I haven't tried all of them so I'm just speaking from what I see & my experience with the brands) To be honest, they all seem to be really similar both in looks, size & quality. I would say if you've watched reviews and all of them seem good to you just go to the one (or the brand) that gives you the best vibes. If you'd rather spend less, then go to the cheapest, cause I don't think you'll notice the quality difference too much. The only thing that comes to mind that you might notice is the screen to tablet ratio, which you'll eventually get used to, but it's definitely not the same using these small tablets on a laptop or on a bigger desktop monitor. Now, I know these are all pretty similar in size, but if you'd be working (or think you'll be in the near future) on a bigger monitor than a standard laptop then go for the one with the biggest drawing area, you'll be more comfortable that way! As for brands, I can only speak from what I tried, and that's Wacom & XP-Pen: - I definitely trust Wacom, even though it's usually a bit on the more expensive side of these. My first small Wacom Intuos, although cheap, is more than 7 years old and still works perfectly (even though it hasn't been heavily used this past 2-3), so I can definitely say they're durable and I've never had any trouble with it. My Wacom Cintiq 16 is about 3 years old with pretty constant use and still runs like new. - As for XP-Pen, I can't check on the durability, cause I haven't yet used any of the tablets they sent me for that long but I really enjoy the feeling & portability of this Deco Mini7. And the feeling of drawing on it (both pen & screen) even more than their screen tablets of the Artist 12 & 13.3 Pro series!
I think I explain the whole problem a bit better on my blog post over here, on the section related to the android connection; www.patriciapedroso.com/deco-mini-7-review-xp-pen/ But it was more the program than the tablet, initially, the proportions of drawing were distorted in every program, cause the phone/tablet proportions didn't fit and there was no apparent way to change it. That itself was a bit of a challenge that affected all three programs that I tried but Medibang was the worse because either it didn't have pressure sensitivity or none of the brushes were designed for it (found them all to be round opaque) and that really annoys me. 😂 It might have changed tho cause this was a while back.
Not sure if you mean on a phone or computer? On a phone I couldn't really tell you, I wasn't fully satisfied with any of the free ones I tried and I don't know any paid ones... About a computer, Krita if you want something free but professional or Photoshop. Honestly, it doesn't matter, if you have a preferred one just go with that, it usually makes no difference with these tablets 😊
It's XP-Pen as well, but from their bigger screen tablets (the Artist 13.3 Pro & 12 Pro come with it) the pen in those comes in a case that serves as a pencil holder as well, I show it in the reviews I have on them. The pencil is basically the same, so it works as well 👌🏼
For that price difference, I would say no. I've tried them both and they're the same, so unless you have a very complicated working area where your cables don't reach or you need more mobility then I don't think it's worth it. The cable on the non-wireless it's a bit short if I recall correctly, but nothing that will impede you from working. Hope that helps! 😊
It costs about 50$. I put the tablet in vertical - as the instructions say - and I made sure I had the rotation blocked. Otherwise, it would have been really uncomfortable!
Hi! I'm not sure if you mean the thing I'm showing on 1:27 but that comes with the tablet and it's just to protect it on the packaging, you actually have to remove it before you use it. You don't really need any protective film usually with these tablets, as the screen already comes prepared to last and endure the pen's movement. Hope that helps!
To be completely honest, I haven't tried that particular Wacom but I have used the old Wacom Intuos, I liked my Wacom cause it's still running perfectly (I think it's been 7 years or more, but I haven't used it much these past 2 years due to tablet upgrade), it's trusty and comfortable. The Deco mini 7 is a very comfortable tablet, lightweight, nice to the pressure/touch of the pen & overall really great for the price. A pro of this one could be getting the Wireless version - deco mini 7W (I have a review up as well), cause I've read complains on the Wacom due to the cable position & such. Ultimately it's up to you but I hope my few opinions have helped a bit! 😊
I'm glad it helped! Although you probably will have to adjust it in the settings of the tablet as well. I believe nowadays most tablets have facilities to adapt to both left & right handed. 😊
hiiiiiiiiii did you find the size to be a limit or good for a beginner? i've never forayed into digital art so i'm debating to ake this or the veikk a30 which is a bit bigger
Hi! I find this size quite comfortable for a non-screen tablet. However, as I mentioned in the video, I find that if you're using it with a very large screen you might feel it's a bit small. But with a common laptop screen, the size relation seems to work perfectly for me (and maybe too if it's a bit bigger). This size is very convenient if you're planning on transporting it a lot or travel with it, so ultimately is up to your preferences! Hope that helped a bit! 😊
Hi! I believe I mention it in the video but if you want to use it on a phone you need to position the tablet in vertical, plug it to the phone & lock the rotation of the screen. You basically do the same as with the computer screen, just with the phone. Positioning the phone at the side of the tablet was the most comfortable way I found to work! 😊
That's a great question! To be completely honest, no. 😅 I tried to configure the tablet with android and found nothing to customise the experience... I would recommend contacting XP-Pen customer service with these doubts, maybe they can help!

@@Patri_P_P When I take note in Surface Pro, my right-hand does the note-taking & my left-hand does the zooming in/out or scroll vertically/horizontally.
