You need a spatula to scrape the original colors from the side. I was watching you and laughing because of my obsession of scraping with the spatula when making batter for a cake LOL!
Yes, I am spatula obsessed as well. I bought a spatula at Sur la Table just for when I am mixing paint!
I so badly want to use a spatula to put more paint into the squeeze bottle.

Adele, "squeeze" is my favorite word. I'm obsessed with the round condiment squeeze bottles. My 4 reusable OXO bottles separately have mustard, ketchup, honey barbecue sauce and pancake syrup. I love playing with my 20 other empty "Farberware, OXO & Tablecraft" bottles. I don't online shop, but my favorite bottle brands that I could choose from Amazon are Houseables and Pinnacle Mercantile. My favorite bottle size that I could choose is 16 ounces.

Would it be wise to name each bottle so that you could replicate if needed?
I noticed that after stirring the ingredient there were bubbles in the mixture. Will they remain , when time comes for pouring the paint on canvas?

Does the paint dry faster in squirt bottles? I have nova paint in jugs and hate the jugs, never thought about putting it first in a pour cup to put it in bottle, i thought maybe a funnel.
When adding water won't it get mold in it?

I wouldn’t add much water. In the beginning I added too much water. Just experiment and see what consistency you like best. I would recommend using a small bottle first until you know which colors you use a lot. Then you can make bigger bottles of it. Mine haven’t had any mold, but then I use mine all the time. 🌸
you may try using distelled water t avoid mold.
Thanks for the video. Can i ask why you add gloss ? Does all types of paint require gloss ? I’m new to acrylic paint art.
I like the way it looks. I would recommend trying different levels of gloss and matte to find out what works best for you!

Hi Lisa, it lasts as long as it takes for you to use it up! I recommend trying different mediums to see what you like, I'm just sharing what I've found to work for me.
I know me, and I will never do that very handy color chart! Do you sell them? So many times I've mixed paint or resin and ended up with muddy colors😮
A lot of people feel that way! You can buy color charts on Amazon that will very much help you. I always recommend playing around with colors and how they mix so you don't have to worry about remixing something over and over again and not getting the right color, but if it doesn't appeal to you I totally understand.

I don't have an art studio and often paint, but I could separately plenish the Houseables bottles with separate colors of acrylic, pourable paint. I could either (1) squeeze paint on the canvases, (2) squeeze paint into the measuring cup by layering the colors so paint could be poured onto the canvases or (3) squeeze paint into the split cup by the separate colors so paint could be poured onto the canvases. I could play with the empty Pinnacle Mercantile bottles and the empty Houseables bottles.
Why use gloss rather than matte medium?

Hi Nancy! The easiest way is to join the academy, and then you get a list with all the videos available and the content that goes with them. If you're perusing my channel here, you'll likely have to search which chart you're looking for and then there should be links on the videos that have charts. Hope that helps!
What is the gloss you’re adding? Do you mean gloss medium?
Yes, she is adding gloss medium, to extend the paint and make it a bit more pourable if it is heavy body.

Absolutely painful to watch that jug going into that water bucket. All that pricey paint WASTED. Turned them upside down on blank papers to make collage pieces. Stop and take time to quickly brush on papers. And beating air into the paint making bubbles with the beaters and whisks! But the waste is the worst!!!
I agree with you! A waste of precious paint, a waste of a creative opportunity and all that acrylic paint being poured into the water system. Please Adele, rethink this video!
I think Adele is VERY generous in sharing her art techniques with us. I do happen to use a spatula to get all the paint out when I mix paint, but I am not half the artist Adele is!!!!! Adele has inspired me to get mixing and be less of a perfectionist, actually. I appreciate her kindness and I hope that I can be as kind of a person as she is.
I figure she may use them to continue after the demo is over. For instance, you could do all the different reds on the chart in one mix... then in the same cup go into the darks. Mark Eanes color coursework demonstrates how to mix nearly all colors starting with one.
It literally hurts me to see so much great paint wasted. Spatula! Please use spatula. or at least scrape it with SOME tool. Any tool!
