Born and bred Gold Coast girl here. It is so wonderful to hear your fabulous comments about my home. I am so glad you enjoyed. Much love and happy travels 🥰
Schnapper Rocks was my home back in 1967, I lived with my parents in a Restaurante/house called 'The Jungle Hut' it was right next door to the Rainbow Beach Surf Club. Fabulous location, my morning wake up was a 20mtr stroll and dip in the surf before work. The weekends were full of 'surfies' from Brisbane and beyond, we were continually giving first aid to ones that landed on the rocks after a good wave that went wrong. Our restaurante was a mecca for fish & chips takeaway for the weekend surfies. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your time on the Gold Coast and hope ypu can get back for more of Australia

Well, I just smiled all the way through that video. You two are so happy and positive and it’s great to see. And you made me feel great about where we live. Ha magic 🙌
We migrated from South Africa to Oz 30 years ago and live on the Gold Coast. Age has caught up with me so I no longer surf but my sons do and I enjoy watching them. It was great seeing you enjoying the same spots that we do. Our 3 kids were fortunate to grow up here and and would never move. There is a lot more of Oz to see and it's a great country!
So glad you're loving our little part of the world, thank you for kind comments. Hvae a great stay, Aussie' think it's pretty special too, we are so lucky. 😊
West coast is the best coast!! The sun sets in the west. There is NOTHING better than a western Australian beach sunset. We also have amazing surfing in Margaret River, gorgeous Rottnest Island with Quokkas running around everywhere, swimming with whalesharks in Exmouth, ride a camel on the beach in Broome, visit the amazing forests and wine region in the southwest of Western Australia, explore Karijini national park. Rock lobster everywhere. Those of us who are lucky enough to live on the west coast know that we truly do have the best beaches in all of Australia so make sure to visit next time ❤️❤️❤️
What a lovely family. You guy's would fit in so well here. My recommendation is take 12 months off and van it around Oz, you have only seen a tiny bit.
You are the sort of people we need in Australia young great parents humble and intelligent, next time your down try soldiers beach on the NSW central Coast
OK. Ya gotta keep it a secret how good australia is as we want to keep it this way. I'm not saying we don't want to share but we also like it this way.
Na just keep it a secret from the middle east , and vote Out our current irresponsible government so we can keep our country this way , beautiful , clean , united and peaceful . Everything that this Beautiful couple just described here is at risk if we do not . 🇦🇺

Hope you guys can come back in the future and do more exploring. 😊
Thank you. This was one of the most enjoyable videos i have watched for a long time. We are Aussies and have just spent 3 years and 8 months travelling this great land. You made me so proud of my country. Keep living the best life xx

Loving your journey as a family, you’re having so much fun and it makes me happy to watch you enjoy our wonderful country. Please come back sometime soon. ♥️
I'm an Englishman from London I moved to Australia 32 years ago it was the best decision of my life Australia is a beautiful Country the people are easy going I would recommend it anyone interested in a better lifestyle.
I'm so glad that you had such a positive experience! I think you will find that most Aussies (myself included) are a little bit biased about how good we think our country is. But I also think we are fully justified because it is just AMAZING! You need to come back and check it out again! I can't give you a good estimation of a timeframe needed, as you can never see everything, but 6 months is probably a minimum - that would be just under 4 weeks in each state/territory and, believe me, you could do 6 months in each state/territory alone if you wanted. PS: I especially loved seeing your reaction to how clean Australia is. I have made 2 trips to UK/Europe, 2 trips to the USA and 1 trip to SE Asia, and on every trip, the one thing that really struck me was how dirty every other place seemed to be! From litter in the street to grime on the city building walls, it all just looked so dark and dirty. I love travelling and seeing other countries but I will never want to live anywhere else!
I’m a 76 year old Aussie and delighted you enjoyed your short visit. When people from USA say it is expensive in Australia they forget all prices include tax and there is no tipping. You must come back and visit the Great Ocean Road in south west Victoria. You can’t leave out the island state of Tasmania or Melbourne and Sydney and the Whitsunday Islands. Sorry I can’t help myself. Hope you come back, take care Lex
@@TheWickmansLife2024If you google “Photos of The 12 Apostles” you’ll understand why the Great Ocean Road was such a great recommendation. It’s not far from Melbourne (which is renowned for its coffee). The same goes for Tasmania and all the others!
My thoughts exactly. 1. The $A is less than 2/3rds of the US$ 2. Food is measured in kgs not lbs. 1kg = 2.2lbs 3. In USA the bill just keeps coming and coming, extras, extras extras. The USA is not cheap for most things. 4. Qualitative difference. Australian quality is next level up. 4. Most things that are free in Australia you pay through the nose for in USA.
@@peterbreis5407 in my view the best place to live in the world is the south west tip of WA, it is paradise. You think you have seen some beautiful beaches? You haven’t seen anything. Very clean fresh air from the Indian Ocean, very delicious wine from Margaret River, gorgeous Forrest’s, lovely small towns, Esperance, Albany, Margaret River. hope you come back. Take care. Lex
@@lexsaunders1742 Must go. I've only got about 100km south of Perth. W.A. is huge. Suggest you try south coast of NSW, Merimbula/Pambula, Tura Beach, Tathra. Can throw in skiing along with your list.
you guys have the right attitude and personalities so you would fit in anywhere, you will have to set your own limitations here though, it would take a lifetime to experience everything.
I think one of the things I enjoyed while watching your videos is the memories you were making as a family. With time, as the years go by, you will see the fruits of your labour. You're making a lifetime investment in your family... an investment in love. As an Australian, it's been a pleasure to have the privilege of watching your adventures. Come back soon.
Please come visit Tasmania. Summer definitely better for weather and long days, but given the kids' ages, shorter winter days and cheaper off-season prices and experiences would probably be just as good.
Thanks guys, I randomly stumbled across this and really appreciated your thoughts and sorry your young one had a boo bah at the park. You clearly had some good recommendations and Qld sounds like it certainly lived up or exceeded them. I recently 20 years ago moved from Sydney to Perth (but by Western Australian standards - I am still working on being called a "Westralian") and absolutely love the comparatively laid back life style here. If you like surfing, the southern Westralian coast is spectacular as it catches the heavy weather coming in from the Indian Ocean and has some of the most beautiful surf I have seen so far (even though I am not a surfer). My wife and I went to sugarloaf (a smallish rocky bay) and watched from the cliffs the dolphins surfing the waves
So glad you guys had a great time in Australia. I live on the Gold Coast but I spent 5 years driving in and around the country and I love the outback, there's nothing like it. ❤ Western Australia is beautiful both inland and the coast. I'd highly recommend exploring the coast of WA you won't regret it!! Good luck on your travels ❤❤😊😊
@@TheWickmansLife2024 Pinky Beach on Rottnest Island was wonderful. The kids would love the quokkas. Fremantle was nice too. And the Pinnacles, And Kalbarri. And Albany. And Margaret River. And that's just the south west corner of the state!
G'day guys. Thanks so much for the great review for our fabulous country Down Under. Glad you had a great time. Yes, the beaches in QLD are great. So are the ones down my way in South Australia. PS. I'll send you a message also Instagram
So glad your girl's tooth was a baby tooth. Glad you had a great time. Love from Mount Glorious. Like many Aussies are commenting, your family is the type of people we need here.
You could spend a year and not even get close to scratching the surface. My family and I did WA and NT earlier this year for 3 months and that was going fast. In WA you have Esperance, Albany, Denmark, Margret River, Sandy Cape & Jurien Bay, Kalbarri, Coral Bay, Exmouth, Karijini, Broome, Gibb River Rd and Kimberley's as a minimum. NT Litchfield NP, Bitter Springs, Darwin Night Markets, Mataranka, Katherine Gorge, West Macdonnel Ranges, Alice Springs, King's Canyon, Uluru and Kata Tjuta, Finke, Simpson Desert, just to name a few.
I'm glad you enjoyed the visit. There's a LOT more to see. I have five children. I've told them many times that they should be grateful to have been born in Australia. It's a huge privilege to live here.
Welcome to Australia, all be it short, (and i understand time and money). Each to their own but I reckon you spend 5 or 6 weeks in Australia and barely scratch the surface, each to their own.
As a gold coaster, I am so happy that you enjoyed our beautiful little part of the world, we love to welcome new visitors and to have them enjoy the perfect mix of beach, chill, natural beauty and warm people. Really enjoyed hearing about it from a visitors perspective
As a West Aussie my first sunset on the east coat was weird watching it set behind land instead of the ocean. However, the most spectacular sunset I ever experienced was driving through Kangaroo Valley heading towards Canberra. The colours coming from the rocks on the Great Dividing Range were spectacular. It reminded me of an Albert Namatjira painting.
You will need a couple of years to see it all but pick the time of year for the area you want to see. Remember how big this beautiful country is. there is something to see around every corner of it. You look and sound like a great family . I would welcome you to Victoria if you do get here. I agree with your thoughts on South Queensland. have fun wherever you are. Good luck . Peter
Well, you certainly brought a beautiful attitude with you! Thanks for visiting that little piece of a very big continent, and I sure am glad to hear that you'll be back.

G'day it's Steven from Sydney WELCOME to our friends from northern America. We probably take it all for granted and yes the past few years we've experienced our fair share of issues some of which are due to the pandemic that we're still recovering from, plus when you look around we seem to have a lot of constant development and construction, especially here in Sydney. Enjoy the Gold Coast, it is beautiful and Australia's favorite holiday destination too.
Awesome video guys! Love hearing your thoughts on our amazing country. Next time you're in town, check out Frazer Island ( now known as K'gari.) Such an epic island to visit and one of the largest sand islands in the world!
Australia has so much to offer. Obviously unique plants and animals. Oldest rainforest in the world “the Daintree”,spectacular. Everything a tourist loves to see. More snow than the Swiss Alps. Vast rock and desert landscapes. Beaches as far as the eye can see. It would take a lifetime to see them all. For instance if you visited one beach per day it would take over 27 years to see them all. So come back we love genuine people.🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸🦘🐨🏄🏂🌲👍
The feeling of safety would have been a factor in your love of our country too, I'm sure. Our schools don't need armed guards and we can kiss them and wave them off each morning from our front door without fear. The beaches you enjoyed are just a taste of what's on offer and I know that when you come back your stoke will only increase. May I suggest you fly into Perth on your next visit and check the Margaret River region in the south west, (biased recommendation). I'm glad you left wanting more and I look forward to your awesome family's return. Safe travels. 🤟
I met a couple on the Gold Coast from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania a few years ago. They told us that they come to Queensland for their vacation every year for the past 40 years.
What wonderful visitors! We hired a 4WD in Perth and if you like left handers Red Bluff north of Carnarvon in WA looked like fun. North of that is 300 km of dirt track with the Ningaloo coral reef as close as 50 m from the sand. Towns like Coral Bay and Exmouth are magnificent. Heading east there is 4000 km of red dirt road and epic landscapes and experiences, including Karijini National Park
Lovely to see such a nice chilled family. What you are doing is so commendable, travelling the world & educating your children through experiences. Just awesome. North Stradbroke is bloody awesome. Hard to find those experiences anywhere! Take care & happy travels 👍

oh please come back again! :) You haven't even scratched the surface. :D I'm glad that you loved the trip.
We are coming back again?
We love having you guys ! You need to move out here permanently! You must do the great ocean rd in Victoria and come down to Warrnambool. Absolutely beautiful!
That sounds amazing we will definitely do that!
Best tourist family ever. Please come again. Kingscliff was my stomping ground as a kid in the 60’s
Thank you!
My biggest life regret: not buying a house in Kingscliff in the 80s 😢
Well, I just smiled all the way through that video. You two are so happy and positive and it’s great to see. And you made me feel great about where we live. Ha magic 🙌
Come back. Great to have you here. Positive, adventurous Family. You "Beauty"!
Thats a really cool story! We would move to Australia in a heart beat! Maybe we will one day!
Our seafood definitely is top tier, i smiled watching this video, beautiful feedback on our Great Southern Land
Thank you for all your comments about our beautiful home. Please visit WA on your next trip, you will not be disappointed. ❤
We are coming back for WA!
@@TheWickmansLife202410x better beaches here😊
So glad you're loving our little part of the world, thank you for kind comments. Hvae a great stay, Aussie' think it's pretty special too, we are so lucky. 😊
Thank you and we understand why! It’s special!
Those of us who are lucky enough to live on the west coast know that we truly do have the best beaches in all of Australia so make sure to visit next time ❤️❤️❤️
Don't forget the amazing wine in WA haha
What a lovely family. You guy's would fit in so well here. My recommendation is take 12 months off and van it around Oz, you have only seen a tiny bit.
We aren’t doing 12 months but we are going to do over 2 months
You are the sort of people we need in Australia young great parents humble and intelligent, next time your down try soldiers beach on the NSW central Coast
That’s really nice and okay we will put it on the list!
OK. Ya gotta keep it a secret how good australia is as we want to keep it this way. I'm not saying we don't want to share but we also like it this way.
We understand that
Na just keep it a secret from the middle east , and vote Out our current irresponsible government so we can keep our country this way , beautiful , clean , united and peaceful . Everything that this Beautiful couple just described here is at risk if we do not . 🇦🇺
You guys sound so lovely. I live at Hastings Point, ten minute drive from Kingscliff. I work at Broadbeach on the GoldCoast. I loved your prespective on Australia as a young family. Hope you come back and stay longer next time xxx
Australia has the best of everything, sunny weather, beautiful clean beaches, great variety of fresh food, very multicultural. You can surf, whale watching, snow boarding during winter in the southern states, lush green forests, great fishing the list just goes on if you have the time to explore. Hope you guys can come back in the future and do more exploring. 😊
Its hard to argue with that! We will be back for sure!
Thank you. This was one of the most enjoyable videos i have watched for a long time. We are Aussies and have just spent 3 years and 8 months travelling this great land. You made me so proud of my country. Keep living the best life xx
Thank you! That means. A lot! That’s really cool! You should be!
So glad you enjoyed our part of the world. You looked like you really enjoyed it and I loved watching the kids having so much fun. Safe travels in Japan and beyond.
Loving your journey as a family, you’re having so much fun and it makes me happy to watch you enjoy our wonderful country. Please come back sometime soon. ♥️
Thank you means a lot! We will be back!
It’s true. Really strange the rest of the world isn’t on board
Thank you so much! Hopefully we can come see a lot more soon!
1. The $A is less than 2/3rds of the US$
2. Food is measured in kgs not lbs. 1kg = 2.2lbs
I hear that lol thank you! That was nice!
We couldn’t agree more! Investing in our family for sure! Thank you very much! We will be back soon!
We are coming back and definitely going to WA! Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed!
@@TheWickmansLife2024 Pinky Beach on Rottnest Island was wonderful. The kids would love the quokkas. Fremantle was nice too. And the Pinnacles, And Kalbarri. And Albany. And Margaret River. And that's just the south west corner of the state!
Agree, WA outback and coast are magnificent and must be experienced.
So many beautiful places, Cairns snd the Daintree, Tasmania, Melbourne, Sydney, Flinders’s Ranges, Uluru, Perth and the Kimberley.
I'm glad you loved it. 😊
G'day guys. Thanks so much for the great review for our fabulous country Down Under.
Glad you had a great time. Yes, the beaches in QLD are great. So are the ones down my way in South Australia.
PS. I'll send you a message also Instagram
Thank yo
Heck yeah that’s awesome thanks for the information also we will be using that for sure!
I'm glad you enjoyed the visit. There's a LOT more to see. I have five children. I've told them many times that they should be grateful to have been born in Australia. It's a huge privilege to live here.
Very grateful! Place is special!
It was amazing hoping to be back soon!
That’s really cool! Would love to see that!
@@TheWickmansLife2024 I am often reminded how special Australia is when I see it through a new Aussie's eyes.
im a proud aussie and glad you see the beauty we do
We definitely do!
Good luck . Peter
Thank you! Australia has a lot to offer hopefully we can see it all one day!
Got to come check out WA next time. Love your positive attitude and energy 💕🇦🇺
Well, you certainly brought a beautiful attitude with you! Thanks for visiting that little piece of a very big continent, and I sure am glad to hear that you'll be back.
For sure we are coming back!
Awesome to hear you enjoyed Aus. Come back anytime there is so much to see and do! I’m enjoying your content and reliving my travels vicariously through you. Cheers.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! Cheers!
Man, that sounds like an absolute blast! So thankful y'all get to enjoy this awesome adventure together!!
So awesome thanks brother! Hope all is good!
South west Australia is worth 2 week loop direct to Esperance via hyden wave rock then back along the coast to perth.
We are coming back soon!
Thankyou for your assessment of Australia we need more tourists like you hope you return to our shores again one day
We definitely will!
Finally someone not shitting on Australia. If you guys are ever downs south in the Mornington beach area hit us up, we have a place down there that will blow your minds.
Glad to see you guys had a great time. Such a shame you didn't get to tropical North Queensland. Cairns and sourrounds is pretty amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the aussie vids bro. You definitely need to come back. So much more to see and so many surf spots from the east coast to the west coast.Yeew.😂✌🌊🏄♂️
Yeeew thanks! Means a lot we will definitely come back! Yew!
G'day it's Steven from Sydney
WELCOME to our friends from northern America.
So come back we love genuine people.🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸🦘🐨🏄🏂🌲👍
Thank you! We are coming back thank you for the recommendations!
Most travel videos in Australian don’t show much of south east Queensland. It really is a great place to live.
The feeling of safety would have been a factor in your love of our country too, I'm sure.
Our schools don't need armed guards and we can kiss them and wave them off each morning
from our front door without fear. The beaches you enjoyed are just a taste of what's on offer and I
know that when you come back your stoke will only increase. May I suggest you fly into Perth on
your next visit and check the Margaret River region in the south west, (biased recommendation).
I'm glad you left wanting more and I look forward to your awesome family's return.
Safe travels. 🤟
Oh for sure we felt 100% safe in Australia! Wish we would of mentioned that!
I met a couple on the Gold Coast from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania a few years ago. They told us that they come to Queensland for their vacation every year for the past 40 years.
That’s really cool and it’s a special place!
You guys need to come over to Perth , the sunsets are 10 times better, the beaches are awesome, glad the Youse had a awesome time
What wonderful visitors!
Thank you for the kind world! We are trying our best! Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed!
We need loving, caring families like yours adding to our country. Glad you loved it.
You're right, GC is nothing like Miami, FL. GC is a great place to live!
Another Aussie (in Brisbane), here that has stumbled across your channel. Love the concept of what you guys are doing as a family! You’ll definitely have to come back on your way home, or at least come back in a few years (not when the Olympics are on in 2032 though), and we’d love to have you back again.
Have fun and travel safe! 💫❤️💫✌🏻🇦🇺
Thoroughly enjoyed your videos 👍 Glad that you had a Positive experience and happy holiday for your 1st visit to Australia.May your Happy travels continue and you get to venture back to our shores here in Australia for more Awesome Adventures 🌟😊❤️
We will be back very soon! Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed!
hey guys nice review, always welcome anytime your free. Plenty of room too. Specially nice to watch our allies getting a kick out of this place. I personally do mostly rainforest explorations while 4x4ing. I am retiring in 2 months and will probably sell my home and travel full time for as long as my body will allow it.
Thank you! And that’s awesome! Enjoy retirement!
Glad you enjoyed our country. Feel free to come back and enjoy a different climate in Melbourne as it has so much to enjoy such as the fairy penguins , the Grampians ,the great Ocean road the wine district, and ride Puffing Billy. Melbourne is the most multi cultural city in Australia so there is so to enjoy with the best foods and coffee from around the world
We will be back soon!
Glad you enjoyed your stay. I live in Brissie. You guys have gotta see North Queensland and Perth WA, down to Margaret River and up the coast to Broome and across to the NT etc. So much more beauty to be seen in the Land of Oz. You guys have got a great vibe. Enjoyed your channel.
You should see the red centre!
So happy you felt at home here!.. I hope you get to come back for a much longer trip next time.. or just move here - we'll let you in!.. Such a sweet family.. keep making beautiful memories! :)
Thank you so much that’s really nice! We would love to move there!
Kingscliff is in NSW. The beaches of Australia are amazing. I’m so glad that my ancestors migrated here in the 1830’s. Most of us are rather lay-back and welcoming.
Come back we love you Australia 😮
Coming back!
Loved watching your videos & glad you enjoyed your time here. Please come back soon. Suggestions for next visit - Coral reef & Whitsunday Islands at the North end of Queensland.
It’s families like you that would make great Australians . Now you have seen the coast , wait till you experience the out back , it’s so large and beautiful
great to see you stoked
Place stoked us out!
It's such a breath of fresh air to watch a video where people can see how wonderful we have it here. Makes this 73 year old bloke happy that you had such a wonderful time. your appreciation for Australia is spot on xxxx What a wonderful family xxxx
I think that you would fit in here ))) Aussies really appreciate positive people ))))
If you get a chance to get up to the GBR at some time, I hope you get to snorkel and see the amazing corals. (my favourite are christmas tree corals )))
And if you get to go to Sydney, and like museums and stuff, There is the Australian Museum, the powerhouse Museum (a mock up of Yuri Gagarin's capsule .... what an amazing bloke to go into space in that small thing
Then there is/was also a set up like the inside of the space shuttle now to me, that was also cool ))))) and an engine!!! I think a Saturn V engine.
Then there's Taronga Park zoo. A suggestion. Start at the TOP and walk down to the bottom. Because if you go in the bottom gate, you'll be going UPHILL all day
But those suggestions might not rock your sox now, because when I saw them, it was 30 to 40 years ago ))))
I hope the rest of your adventure is amazing ))))
Thank you for the suggestions we will look into them for sure! Glad you enjoyed!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying this country. 🌴
Hope to see you back here soon. North Queensland is a must see as is the barrier Reef.
So is the outback, Darwin to Broome by road!
Great video ,and that is the reason why we live overlooking snapper rocks and Coolangatta Beach.
Thank you! Lucky you!
