Tower Hill reserve between Warnambool and Port Fairy (Great Ocean Road). One of the best spots I've been to in Australia for wildlife in the wild. Be careful of food around the Emus - they have no manners! Make sure to look up for koalas & joeys. Great to see you guys get to somewhere other than Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne - there's so much more Australia to see and it's quite different to the big cities.
I love seeing my home through someone else's eyes/lens/experience. Like anywhere I think you tend to get a bit jaded over time and forget what you have right on your own doorstep. Videos like this make me appreciate what I have a whole lot more. and glad you liked the walk along the beaches here!
Welcome to my home town. Sydney is a city we're really proud of. Australia is truly the best country in the world, where we welcome the love the opportunity to share what we have.
I’m extremely thankful to call Sydney, Australia, home. The Bondi to Coogee walk is a favourite, and I’ve enjoyed barefoot bowling at Clovelly Bowling Club overlooking the sea. Please don’t miss the Circular Quay to Manly ferry ride with a stroll along iconic Manly Beach. So glad the sun came out for you.
The absolutely best thing to do in Sydney for the first time is to go to Circular Quay and get a return ticket on the Manly ferry. You get spectacular views of what has been called the finest harbour in the world. When you get to Manly, get a snack or a meal and sit on Manly Beach for a short while, then enjoy the Harbour again for the return trip. It costs about $5-$8, and is the best trip you'll do in Sydney.
Australia is amazing!! We were just there last month (a week in Sydney and a week in Melbourne). Agreed, we would move there if we could. Will be going back to visit Brisbane and the Gold Coast soon.
@@SammyandTommy If you have time, see the 12 Apostles. We booked a day trip through Get Your Guide. Food places: Pie Thief (we found them through another TH-camr. You’ve probably heard about the croissants at Lune. They are good, but if you decide to go, visit the Fitzroy location (not as busy as the one in the CBD), another TH-camr suggested Brick Lane Cafe. This place is small, but worth it. We went twice!! Highly recommend Hochi Mama (food and service is great, make a reservation, it gets busy). We liked Hareruya Pantry. I’ve never seen mochi ice cream like this before. We went twice. Lol. Recommend by the same TH-cams for Brick Lane. We took the train to Brighton Beach to see the Bathing Boxes. We then walked to the town of Brighton for a quick snack. Look forward to seeing your other vlogs from Australia. We love it there, and it was our first time as well.
Really awesome video. FYI That last pub you were at, The Bob Hawke, beer and leisure centre, Bob Hawke was a former Prime Minister of Australia, a Former Australian Council of Trade Unions President, and a former World record holder of drinking a yard of ale, (2½ pints, or 1.4 litres), in 11 seconds, a feat recognized by The Guinness book of records. There's always a bit of history everywhere you go.
We would love to have neighbours like you to - i.e. the four of you. Thank you for appreciating Sydney's our stunning city, parks, beaches, food and critters. The Blue Mountains are a 2 hour train trip away... that will blow you away. Cheers from Sydney, AU.
I really enjoyed the way this was filmed and edited. The flow, music and snap shots of Sydneysiders felt really professional and artistic. I feel inspired to find out how to edited and video. I’m a complete beginner but love photography. Enjoy your time in Australia with your beautiful family. It was lovely seeing Sydney my town of birth through the eyes of a traveller.
We were in Australia in January for a few weeks. In Sydney there’s a really cool place to eat called Spice Alley. It has a ton of food stalls from all over the world. We really enjoyed it. Have fun. I loved it, especially the Australia Zoo in Queensland.
So great to see you two back on YT. Amy and I are watching it from St Paul, MN visiting my son and his partner. Thanks for sharing your adventures with your family! Cheers, be safe and have a great time making memories with the ones you love!
I’ve been following you guys for quite a while now, great to see you’re in my home country. So many great places to see. I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts on what I already know is an amazing country. Lots of slang for you to learn. Keep up the fantastic videos! You guys nail it !!!
Nice video. I was born in Sydney and I love the harbour, the Rocks area and the inner city suburbs. I now live in the upper Blue Mountains, which is west of Sydney, and is a great region for hiking and scenery.
Welcome to Sydney. I always recommend that first timers take the **slower** ferry to Manly (itself a great experience), then head on to Manly Corso, Manly Beach then Shelly Beach. For food with a view, Hugos Manly is right on the wharf (expensive). Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club, great views of the Harbour, and away from the hustle and bustle. If those restaurants don't suit your fancy, Manly as plenty of options.
Welcome to The Great Southern Land, my island home. I hope you enjoy your stay and you get to see the many wonders that this great place has to offer. You are what's good in this world of turmoil and your travel vlogs are something that my wife and I look forward to every week. Safe and happy travels. Best wishes.
Lawn bowls originated in England. It is played through the Commonwealth countries. They have world championships and it’s played at the Commonwealth games. Most people that play it are of an older demographic.

When you are in Cairns take the skyway above the rainforrest to Kuramda spend a couple of hours wandering around the village and then get the train back you can buy a package that covers both trips. They provide a shuttle bus to the skyway station or back from it depending which way around that you do it the train leaves from the station at the Cairns Central shopping mall. Hire a car and do a day trip to the Daintree Rainforrest and do the walk into The Mosman gorge on the way. Also a cruise out to the reef for some snorkelling or scuba diving is a must. Plenty of other things to do in Cairns like waterfalls and swimming holes to visit but you probably wont be there long enough to do everything so you will need to choose the ones that sound the most interesting. I hope that you enjoy your stay in our beautiful country......
I’m from Sydney, have been to Cairns a few times & I approve of the above itinerary. Cheers (ps: Cairns harbour isn’t so pretty at low tide, & north of Cairns is prettier in my opinion). enjoy your time here

Hi Sammy, Tommy & Tommy's Parents Welcome to Australia! ..love your videos. I have started them from the beginning but still have a long way to go! 😂 I hope you have an amazing time here - so much to see & do. I don't know how much time you have here but we can give you more suggestions as you go along. ..firstly, the state of Victoria... Melbourne has beautiful parks, great coffee, European & Asian restaurants, street graffiti art, beautiful old buildings, including The Block Arcade & the library (also the old banks), cute laneways full of cafes, hidden bars, The Shrine of Remembrance, St Kilda beach, Albert Park, old suburbs full of terrace houses, etc etc. Out of Melbourne you have GOR & Grampians, Mornington & Bellarine Peninsulas Dandenong Ranges, Ballarat (old gold mining town), Gippsland, & in the north of the state, the Murray River & paddle steamer towns like Echuca. .. & lots more! (Even snow fields in the winter!). Cheers & enjoy! 🌺😘

Welcome to Australia. We love your videos! In Melbourne recommend lune croissanterie, South Melbourne markets and drink all the flat whites you can (or if you like it strong, order a 'magic'). Enjoy!
Great video, folks! You might be interested to know that there are 44 tidal pools in Sydney! They are mostly on the coast but many are in the harbour. A lot were built in the depression as a Nation building project and to give men some meaningful work. Love the brewery touring too! A suburb near me in northern Sydney, called Brookvale has 7 breweries and a couple of distilleries.
Great video. Australia’s coastline is so beautiful. $90 for fish and chips is a bit steep but you are in a popular part of Sydney. Looking forward to seeing your next adventures in Aus! 😊
Wonderful showcasing of my home town I’m probably bias but I haven’t seen a prettier city yet Glad ya selling it to others. All welcome from where ever you’re from
Love your videos, you all seem so genuine and positive. Hope you got to go on the Manly ferry and do the walk to Shelley Beach. So right about the views from the zoo .They have a thing called zoo friends and as a family you can enter as many times in a year every Sunday morning I used to take my kids and walk half way down to a small park near the meircats that looked over to The Bridge and The House for morning snack .Awesome place .Still live over near Manly on Middle Harbour
It's great to see another very likeable American couple on TH-cam, great ambassador's for your country My absolute favourite Americans are. one pack wanderers ,hope you check out their vlogs one day
you pass Waverley Cemetery: I grew up right near there and my family own two plots in the cemetery. My dad & I are currently working through the complex process to transfer the ownership from him to me.
If you enjoy beaches and swimming Sydney is paradise. Somewhere between 100 to 150 beaches to explore over time and take a dip. Bondi is popular due to proximity to city centre and tourists love it which is great, but not one of the top 10 beaches. You seem lovely, hope you had a great time. Pity about the weather.
Totally agree with the pineapple tasting like apple pie , that's exactly what I said when I first tried it, I'm very surprised that shops on the mainland sell cod , in Tassie we throw it back in the water if we catch any , not worth eating lol
I live 5 minutes from the bowling club. Thanks for showing off Marrickville. It has been voted one of the coolest suburbs in the world. If you ever move out here you’d love it. So handy to the city and so many amazing shops and places to eat. And don’t forget the artisan coffee.

Great video thank you !
