    Small typo in title: Renote vs. Remote. Nice easy conversion on the nano.

    A remote stove that is taken apart. You can put a little alcohol burner into the middle of the remote stove with carbon felt inside. An inch an a half size alcohol burner. Just a thought. :)

    Simple and straightforward, nice! I wonder if a Sterno can would work in the stove? ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

      I could be wrong but I think someone makes canned fuel in a smaller size, can't say as to wether it would work because I have neither the stove or the fuel

      @@shawnr6117 You’re right, I’ve bought the smaller Sterno cans from Walmart. I think I still have one somewhere in my house. ✌️

    Awesome tip Mark. I’ve been thinking of getting a Trangia gas burner for my FireBox stove but Wow not a cheap item in Canada 🇨🇦. Although gas has its limitations in cold weather so do the cheaper stoves.

      I bought the Bulin clone. Works great but not quite the same. Thanks for commenting

    I have just watched an old video Steve made about fitting the Trangia gas burner into the Nano seems to fit OK and I’m sure I have tried it in the past. Did you take the aluminium circular plate off? I made that mistake first time I tried it.
    Good way to use a cheaper option though.

    • @MarkYoungBushcraft
      @MarkYoungBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, I went back and tried to make it work. To start, I am using a Bulin clone of the Trangia that I "assumed" is identical in dimensions, etc. I took the plate off before dropping it into the Nano on the two provided pins. It will sit there but just barely. The pins don't line up with the groves on the "hanging" plate just right. It wants to fall through at the slightest touch. I think I will make an update video to be clear about what I experienced. Thanks for prompting me to re-look at it

  • @jimf1964

    Does seem a little low, but still a great idea. Why not make it even more useful?
    Have you ever used the little wind shield for the Nano? I bought a stainless water bottle from our fav thrift store, and cut one out of it with a dremel. I think this winter I may try to design a two sided one

    • @MarkYoungBushcraft
      @MarkYoungBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jim. I will be making an update on this set up with a stove that sits a bit higher. I kind of like the low position for baking. Making that video this week. Tryin to picture what you are describing. For the windshield are you talking about the carbon fiber one that comes with the Nano kit or the five-sided aluminum plate one? Any pics?

    • @jimf1964
      @jimf1964 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarkYoungBushcraft No, not the carbon fibre. It’s a piece of steel that sort of fits with a tab in a side, and the supports. It basically blocks the wind from one side in that gap between the stove sides and the pot supports.
      Unless they stopped selling it, it was part of the full kit with the bow, sticks, carbon sheet.
