Calvin Green can't really compare the storm from so long ago to this device. completely different operating system and hardware specs. lits like apples and oranges. the storm was the worst of all blackberries ever made. storm2 slightly better.

    • @calvingreen7197
      @calvingreen7197 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Mike Abrames You're right the storm doesn't compare with this particular model. Justin asked if we had a blackberry back in the day, and I was letting him know. Thanks for the heads up, though I don't ever recall any comparison being made by me. Oh well...

Yeah I'm pretty pumped! Biggest feature I'm looking forward to is battery life and keyboard. Phone companies still haven't got the message people would sacrifice thinness for a thicker phone with a bigger battery.

Kyle DC My first phones were flip phones and I dominated those keyboards. I didn't have to look to text which was great for high school, never got my phone taken away. I had an old BlackBerry but the buttons were so tiny and for some reason I was never as good with the qwerty keyboard as the buttons on a flip phone. I have hated not having buttons ever since I got a smart phone. I make so many mistakes and I hate the new update to the autocorrect because it has never worked properly. Now I'm debating on whether or not to get the S8 now or wait until my carrier decides to release this new BlackBerry. I just don't know if I would be frustrated with these tiny BlackBerry buttons. I just want a flip phone that I can play Pokémon Go on is that too much to ask?

Great video. Couple of notes. As I watch new time users of BlackBerry's touch sensitive keyboards, everyone seems to scroll incorrectly. To fix this, try scrolling on your screen. Now mimic that exactly on the keyboard. Do that back and forth for a bit and you'll see you don't have to over compensate on the physical keyboard. Secondly, most people don't realize that it takes a good month of use on a physical keyboard to get the full picture. You will understand when you can actually close your eyes and type sentences without mistakes.

That's only one of the awesome advantages of the BB keyboard - typing blind, one handed - and quickly. Perhaps it does take time, but there is no touchscreen keyboard that comes close. The closest would be the BB Z series.

the q10 was better than any other phone out at the same time and bb10 was also the best software ever made but nobody would give blackberry a chance so it failed. q10 was by far the best phone iv ever had but it got a little frustrating with no app support.

I am a fan of BB and have always been. I had a BB Curve in 2009 and I loved it. I had a curve until 2016 when I I begrudgingly switched to Android because I saw my beloved Blackberry had went under in effect. Yesterday, I went out and picked up my KEYone that I had ordered last week. I love it. Wish Blackberry would come back full.

I'm from the day of Palm, Treo, Blackberry & Droids....all with hardware keyboards. I was forced onto the Note 2 (which I loved) and eventually the LG V10 but both with glass keyboards, both great phones none the less, but glass keyboards. I tell ya, I'm ready to go back to hardware keyboards and the KeyOne looks like the one for me.
I'm tired of spending more time correcting what I typed than what I typed. Bring back the accuracy of the hardware keyboard !

From my first smart phone to today, I've never used any other smart phone than BlackBerry. The introduction of this phone is thrilling to those of us addicted to a physical key pad. For nearly a decade, I've hated every second of borrowing a phone or using my wife's for a moment and having to use a touch-screen keypad... ¡Viva la BlackBerry!

I've been a BB fan since my teenage years, going through about 3 or 4 of them, the last being the BB Classic which I love. I mainly use my Note 5 now, but still switch between the two over the last 2 years. I will always love Blackberry/RIMM for what it's aimed for which works for my lifestyle. I almost never play games or other multimedia. BB is also excellent as my work phone, too.

BB perfecting its phone for its exclusive, loyal consumers. Well balanced in pricing, specs and camera action on secure hardware, while sticking to what makes it popular and one of kind in and innovative in first place, a full keyboard on a mobile phone. Might as well stick to its own lane at this point to give ppl options, instead be like everyone else for sure cant compete, other companies been at it and only gets better so just get better in own lane i think. Its just a solid ass phone more than capable, end of day not buying a gaming console or media system nor need to break the bank for it either. They really getting right and more on point. Was curious bout other brands like but I'm such a loyal fuk esp when BB been trying to and have gotten it right with tis KeyONe.

Enjoyed your video. I've been using a BlackBerry since 2007. When I picked a platform for a smart phone, I wanted one that would be most like a handheld computer, and BlackBerry is it. The BlackBerry OS does everything I need and does it well. Add to that the removable batteries in the past and removable memory card and I've been hooked. I am not a fan of Android so I don't know if I'll try this out. Apps are great but every Android app I've tried on my BlackBerry OS phone wants unreasonable permissions and if I try to limit it, the app won't install. That's a good indication that I don't want that app. I would encourage you to research the benefits of the Hub and try it again. See how other people are using it. It is a huge plus for the BlackBerry OS. I'm assuming it will function the same with the Android OS.

I was a huge Blackberry fan! I wish this had been the Storm! I started with the Curve; had a couple of those. The Storm was a nightmare, but the Tour, I think was a superb phone with an incredible keyboard. I'd use a tour with a current processor and camera. Shame how it turned out for them but the phone up top is okay. I forget who own their name and IP but they probably should have sold earlier.

Best phone I've had in my life and had many. It's just a joy to use and a fantastic tool compared to toys that are called flagship phones.

I wonder if the experience with a physical keyboard is better than typing on a touchscreen. would like to see an iphone with a physical keyboard because typing on the screen is sometimes a pain in the ass (I know, it will not happen).

This phone looks niceand I heard the battery life is GREAT!!!! And the Camera? I was surprised. Was also great. Forget the other BlackBerry Phones. They should just focus on this one. I caught my eye straight out of the box.

I remember when I pre-ordered silver keyone but it had a faulty microphone so sent it back to get a replacement unit, rocked silver for months then came the black dual Sim, really loved the black variant and then got the bronze. Then came the key2, used both silver and black finally before moving to iPhone 11. Waiting for the new 5G PKB blackberry to debut in first half of 2021,, definitely gonna move to blackberry n Android again though iOS is way more flexible and smooth than Android but just for blackberry.

With the Priv they wanted to provide options with the keyboard and full screen. I have the Classic. I find I'm not big on the Hub because I prefer separate buckets for things.

Man I really wish it looked just a little more like the blackberry classic and had physical buttons for multitask/back/home and also for send/end calls. The classic would have been perfect if it only ran android.

I've owned and used various brands of phones...from all major brands like the formerly great Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Xperia, iPhone, Blackberry, LG,...but IMO nothing beat Blackberry... I've used a blackberry from the model that I cant remember the name (it was 8310 if i'm not mistaken, that still used a trackball and here we call those trackballs as "nipples"), to Onix 2, Onix 3, Torch, Dakota, Q10, Classic...Onix 2 is the champ for me because I could bear with it for 2 years, the longest spell for me with a phone, while other phones (including from other brands) only last about 2 months in average before boredom hit me...hopefully this KeyOne (I ordered mine yesterday, expecting to arrive in 2 or 3 days) will outlast the Onix 2
