If anyone has any issues, all you have to do is, take the belt off, take the three compressor mounting bolts out, trace both high and low pressure lines up till u see the 13 mil nut, unloose it from both lines, separate both lines, and wallah you can now just pull both lines up with compressor still attached, sit it on the floor and take the lines loose from the compressor, when installing just put the lines on the new compressor then drop it back in, put the compressor back on and hook the lines back up at the top

I’ve been watching your videos for some time and just found this one. I worked on an 05 Explorer back in April, I replaced the AC compressor, condenser, accumulator, expansion tube and flushed the remaining hoses and evaporator. I put 3 to 4 oz of oil in the compressor and I think around that same amount in the accumulator. It worked flawlessly for four months. Came back in last week with the side of the compressor blown out of it.

Beats me, I drained the compressor, even thought it said prefilled, and put back in the same amount of oil. Same with the accumulator. I’m always worried about not enough oil.

Awesome video. I had a guy come in one time who just had one replaced and it still wouldn't come on (had to be a Scotty kilmer fanboy that works at Firestone) brought it to me. Found the problem in 10 min. The diode was bad. He was not happy. He spent all that money on parts he didn't need because of improper diag. I didn't even charge the guy for a diode replacement. Thank you for this helpful video. FWIW, I left the fan clutch on and and just removed only the plastic fan after loosening the shroud(I did not have the big wrench for the clutch). I'm sure that's not as easy as the way shown in your video, but it works well and the shroud is formed to maneuver past the clutch on my 2008 F150 4.6. To anyone else doing this job, please take time to watch the AC line removal live stream mentioned at 5:45 in this video. This was a huge help to me.

Might be the ford techs fault. If a compressor failed it’s fair to assume it’s got contaminants, if they didn’t purge and flush the lines out they’re just killing the next compressor.

This one didn't have internal failure so there was no reason to do that it was just a clutch you don't do things that you're not getting paid for so if I don't have to pull out an orifice and it's just a clutch or just a compressor starting to act up but not failing internally catastrophically you're not getting paid to do extra work sometimes you have to make the choice on whether or not you do it
