I still can’t believe I have only come across this video now, well after a year. In the U.K this is pretty much my scenario, car outside 24/7, open to the elements. Although I have access to a hose, I can also use a pressure washer at a self-service one. I mainly use that for a good rinse, and wheels if it’s not too busy. Also in the winter, use that for a good maintenance wash, it works. Spring and summer I just use the standard garden hose. 1 bucket multiple mitt method, with a foam sprayer. Also bring along the foam sprayer at the self-service jetwash.

One of the best preparation tutorial video ever!👏👏👏 I have a question Sandro is the Tar X safe on headlights and plastic in general? I have bought TriX to do both stages in one step but now I'm not so sure.
Thanks and Tar-X and Tr.iX can sometimes cause haze on clear plastic, usually not, but certainly sometimes depending on the specific plastic. If it does happen, a light polish will usually remove it, but it’s obviously easer to just avoid it. Wetting the surface first, making sure it’s cool and out of direct sunlight and the chemical isn’t allowed to fully dry on the surface also tends to reduce the likelihood of this occurrence.
Hi Sandro. Great video as always. Have you tried CarPro Trix iron and tar remover? Ok to use this as a single step instead of the separate steps in this video?

Hi There, just a general question. Can Irox-x be used on a whole car eg headlights, plastic trim and glass? I know that you mentioned to keep the tar removers away from plastic and headlights but what about iron removers?
Serious question: what do you recommend to someone in an apartment setting without a hose? I've been using buckets and "rinseless" approaches for washing, and I think the only way I could tackle this process would be with a spray bottle of just distilled water, using that and a microfiber towel after each step to remove the product used in that step. The process would be much slower for me as I'd have to go panel by panel, but do you think this would be an adequate way to get around not being able to rinse?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing So I do have a couple of self serve car washes I go to. I usually go there for the pre-rinse, then back to my apartment for the actual soap and wash. I can't do the full prep at the self-serve wash, especially if I want to immediately polish afterward. But I can still do that for the pre-rinse, then potentially use a bucket, like you suggested, to rinse off cleaning products at my apartment. I still don't think that's going to adequately remove product, and I'll likely need to dry each panel with a microfiber after the bucket rinse to ensure that the cleaning products are removed. I think that with an IPA should be enough to prep the paint.
Why is it no polymer contain to wash detergent and also clay lube in these preps stage? This question because lately i use quick detailer(polymer contained) as a clay lube then i just wipe it off and goes on ipa solution.

Friend, after these steps ok! I start with compound than polish and than wax. So, before waxing should i use IPA again or is not necessarie? My doubt is about IPA
Car Craft Auto Detailing the IPA besides cleaning and protecting the IPA does not remove the product used too? for example, I used IPA compound application and with that all the conpound product is removed. then apply polish and apply IPA and the product is removed again and the surface is ready for the wax, that is it? the IPA also removes the product itself and, if you have marks and holographs on the painting, what do you recommend doing? or does IPA remove all holographs and brands?

Man your the best thanks for great info and Video How do you come over the fear of a polishing machine burning through paint What a budget machine out there which is safe from damaging paint
Hi JuanI am your classic weekend detailer who has pretty much learned most of what I know from this channel.I bought the Shinemate EX603 (£129) which is a low cost, dual action 3" diameter machine and it is brilliant. It's nice and light and enables you to get into some awkward corners because of the small diameter. I also bought a selection of Shinemate pads from super heavy cut (green) to meduim (yellow) and finishing (red).Take it easy at the begining. Take a 12" square of paint and do 4 passes in a cross hatch pattern and assess the cut and shine. Understand the difference between DAT and SMAT compounds. One is a diminishing technology which means the the cutting compond grit reduces in size and you polish. I think this a safer technique and have used both Scholl Concepts S20 Black and Menzerna 400 which are both excellent. There was one part of my wifes van that took 24 pases to get chronic oxidation off but it was showroom white at the end. Also keep washing your pads in warm soapy water, you will be suprised how quickly the pads get clogged up. As a beginner the nerve racking part is knowing when to stop. I took the risk in the end and kept going untill the paintwork looked brand new, I just did it in very small steps.
It`s funny but capro eraser has shown that it leaves some residue itself (that was supposed to remove). I`m into detailing lately, but this amount of water spent on just a hood is dissapointing
Just out of interest is using a chamois like Bowdens Korean Made one not as good as the new microfibre way of doing it????? Seems most top detail vids use this method now.
This is too much, no ones gonna do all that, and use all those dam chemicals and NAME BRAND PRODUCTS!!! simply, spray car with water , wash down with detergent, JOy or DAWN!! dry with micro fiber cloth, Use compound with a variable speed buffer! Then seal with polish and your done! Preferably work in the shade or Car Garage! This guy is selling something , he must charge thousand of dollars when he details a car!

Can the clay bar be re-used or should it be disposed after each use. ? Great vid by the way.
Skip to 4.52 for content!!! Otherwise a fantastic video
Hey where bouts can I get the foam Lance from please
Ah my bad thankyou, love this channel
It`s funny but capro eraser has shown that it leaves some residue itself (that was supposed to remove).
I`m into detailing lately, but this amount of water spent on just a hood is dissapointing
Do you know any buckets locally available that fit a Grit Guard?
Car Craft Auto Detailing Any buckets in white?
Car Craft Auto Detailing thx
Another great video thanks.
Sandr, do you normally just spot treat with tar removal products?
The problem with your experiment is that you omitted the decontamination wash and clay bar.
4:52 Your welcome

Just out of interest is using a chamois like Bowdens Korean Made one not as good as the new microfibre way of doing it????? Seems most top detail vids use this method now.

Great videos, less b-roll please 😁
Good vid. Need to speed it up though. Started to lose interest.
Not to be mean, but there is alot of wasted time in this video.
Too much music and wasting time shots, good video anyways
This is too much, no ones gonna do all that, and use all those dam chemicals and NAME BRAND PRODUCTS!!! simply, spray car with water , wash down with detergent, JOy or DAWN!! dry with micro fiber cloth, Use compound with a variable speed buffer! Then seal with polish and your done! Preferably work in the shade or Car Garage! This guy is selling something , he must charge thousand of dollars when he details a car!
Why do you waste so much time with useless shots with music over them?
Get on with it. Dull dull dull
