Never knew by Sevatar disliked Shang so much. Ironically, Shang and Sahaal were among the most sane Night Lords in the legion on the traitor side. They and Ophion were some of the noblest night Lords in the legion.
Shang is weak and indecisive, and Sahaal is too noble, and soft hearted. Sevatar hates them, because he actually respected them, and wanted to be like them. If Sevatar hates you, you're in the right side of history. If Sevatar despise you, then you're an evil fuck who deserves to die.
"we were damned from the start" indeed they were. i don't recall which night lord said it exactly, but one of them said something like: "we were murderers! first, last, and always!" and that's entirely correct: when you raise a military force to be so cruel and inhuman/inhumane, it will always end badly
The dialogue should have been switched, Konrad wasn't questioning the necessity of their methods it was Sevatar who said "Your way has never been the only way, just the easiest way"
@@Toneill029 Konrad was never of stable mind because he believed in fate and the inability of his choices to change it, his madness never required outside encouragement and even though some Night Lords wanted him to become crazier and more unleashed it certainly was not Sevatar.
In this particular instance, the dialogue is perfect. Sevatar wholeheartedly supported his sire in the destruction of his legion's homeworld. Furthermore, he was the one who volunteered to quell the mutinies that arose shortly after the annihilation of Nostramo.

Why would Sev even go on this spiel when talking to his Primarch? It sounds extremely patronising in the context far more so then any canon Sev quip and his constant need to justify the Legion's actions violates the best interaction between Konrad and Sevatar where Konrad was in that position of cope and false justification and Sev hit him with the cold hard truth which this video completely flies in the face of.

Someone already asked this but...was Sevatar even there? And if anyone thinks I'm looking too deeply, by the end of his life, Konrad was talking to a statue of the emperor made of human...meat, so we can't say that's entirely out of left field for him.
Sadly the lesson was lost on his sons. Konrad was mad and damned but his sons could have served their purpose even if they to were damned. But the rot of Night Haunter and Nostramo run too deep. I feel like canon conversation would have had the dialogue switched between the two but it does work better with what the previous conversation set up. And by god is the atmosphere awesome.
Funnily enough, the conversation in this should have actually been reversed. Konrad doesn't care and hates what he has made them and in fact wished they all die, believing his way is the true way.

Granted I got denounced as an impostor (thanks for wiping all records dad, really helped me on that front as per freakin' usually), had to rally a bunch of chapters to retake the Imperium from a bunch of self serving ass hats. DAMN near succeeding only to get taken back to Terra by the golden banana men because pops said i need to go into stasis.....I swear this is all some elaborate troll job by him.....
