God I hope one loyalist Primatch comes back within the next decade. I know this is a Grimdark world, but for the love of all that's holy, give this man a break.
Rumors of Lion returning in the 10th are all but confirmed. If GW pulls a sneaky, instead of the Lion we might get Leman. End result being that atleast Roboute won`t be so alone anymore.
I mean the lion is most likely the one that comes back. But as a plan B we do have rogal Dorn hiding in the imperial Palace. Suffering minor head injuries after using grav technology to scratch his head
It's kinda crazy how guilliman became interesting after his resurrection. He wasn't badly written or anything he was just okay. Now he's like hot damn if I didn't know any better he might have been founder of the Lamenters chapter. PLEASE GW GIVE HIM A BROTHER BACK TO TALK TOO.
Everything was good for Guilliman in the 30k time, his only problem was that he can not move out with his huge army because of the warp storms. Now he is challenged.
Agron: come and die brot- Guzkull with the iron chair: Git good. Corvus suplexes logar into real space. Pretaurabo strides in dressed like Vince mcman. Magnus and Gilliaman: .... I hate this family.
And that is why it was you, Booty boy, you were one of the few primarchs with an actual stable upbringing. Even among the loyalists, no death worlds or cults or anything. Just a solid family.
Lion, wake the F up, Robute need your aid in arms. Jaghatai, get out of the webway, your brother and your homeworld praying for your return. Dorn, get yourself together, we're in desperate need of your mastery in raising of Forts and protections. Vulkan, please come back, all of us need a Hug... Corvus, you actually do a pretty good job, but please let them know that you are still here, watching out of the shadows. I try my best to help, but you know what that means...
Honestly, Dorn and Vulkan are of those really needed now. Dorn as the deffender would make deffenses strong enough against many enemies of the Imperium, or at least provoke The penultimate manchild to move out of his basement (Perturabo) And Vulkan is welcome either way. Just dont tell him about Yvraine, he might try to establish a Fast Food chain

If there is a book for another loyalist returning, this is how it should start, Guilliman seemingly giving into to despair and then we go the pov of that Primarch reacting to the state of the galaxy and deciding "Shit's fucked, time to fix it." Like Leman appears out of the Warp in a beaten up, stolen ship, feeling like he's aged 1,000 years in five minutes and ready to do his duty, or Dorn either breaking out of Trazyn's prison or he emerges from some dead world he was hiding out on, or a short book series of the Salamanders finally finding the last few Relics of Vulkan and then papa arrives and crushes whatever Chaos forces showed up to steal his shit, or my favorite even Jaghatai popping out of the webway with his fellow escaped Dark Eldar slaves and even befriending an Eldar from Saim-Hann (the Craftworld speedfreaks) and decided to go see his bois, or the Lion waking up and deciding to kick some ass and take names and give those names to new people

Hm. Sucks to be a Blood Angel player I guess. Eh not really, we get plenty of support. Hell, I think Blangles have more named units than Harlequins have models...of which Im just missing the Solitaire.
@Xios Angelis well, there are theories that the sanguinar could be sanguinious or a part of him. So you never know, could be a means to actually bring him back.
This shows why I like Guilliman. He's Super Julius Marcus Aurelius Augustus Caesar... against incountable alien foes and the hordes of hell itself. He's not The Chosen One of Prophecy, he's the most "mundane" of Primarchs, in that his ultimate power is being a master administrator and commander. He doesn't shoot gold magical powers, he's just a very intelligent and able dude multiplied by x1000. And he's fighting every day, against powers beyond Man's Keen. With Intelligence, with Tactics, Logistic, Administration and some extra tricks. And shouldering the galaxy on his shoulder. Absolute terachad.
Well, Guilliman REALLY needs a hug and its not even joke at this point. No matter how resourcefull and smart he is, he is one men, a demigod sure, but still one for far too many horrors galaxy brought to him with Dark Imperium on top. His familly, friends, brothers all gone or missing, yet he keep going. Becasue he know if he will break, hope for the mankind gonna break too. Why him? As ironic as it may be, he is the only one who could pull all this miss together so switfly, denying Chaos their triumph
Angron: "Hey uh, we can do this blood crusade later if you're not feeling it today. Mental health is important, take a day or two, the blood thirsters will be here when you're ready." "Wow, really?" "Angron: No." **clobbers him**
*Ghazghull then bursts into the room and dakka's Angron 's shields away before headbutting him back to the warp.* "Dat wuz fer Ol' Bale Eye." *Leaves without any other words.*
@@AdeptKing from what i remember, during Horus Heresy when Kharn apporached him, he barely could remember anything, and was depressed himself, going through such an warp induced dementia, all he felt was mental anguish and pain. And that was after he was done with all that screaming and hitting.
This is why I feel that if/when the Lion comes back, he won't be all "Guilliman became Regent?! Imma kill him!". Instead, he'll probably put aside his pride and give his brother a hug.
Yep. Lion may be standoffish and even a bit of a jerk at times, but he does love his brothers. After all, the first thing he did after reuniting with Roboute on Macragge during the Heresy was to give him a warm embrace. My personal hope is that the last Emperor's tarot card coming about a week from tomorrow is something like "The Two Princes" showing two brothers, one in blue robes and one in green/black clasping hands.
That five o’clock shadow only adds to the dour mood. He must be under so much stress. And when he calls out for his parents (adoptive I’m sure) it makes him seem like he’s just a frightened and vulnerable child. Something he is not used to. But it shows that he is just as human as say the menial searching for scraps of food, or the guardsman hoping he’ll live to see the next day. And, this only proves that he is humanity’s best chance at survival.
Guilliman has become one of my favourite characters of late. This...this is perfect! Guilliman fixes one issue, only for ten more to appear, even then it's only a temporary fix...
My favorite character in the whole W40K Universe. He is so alone, even the Custodians distrust him. It would be so much easier to have Faith in the celestial divinity of the Emperor, but that will never happen.
1:47-Man, that delivery is giving me flashbacks to Macbeth from Gargoyles, who would probably identify so much with Guilliman at this moment. 2:08-Oh god, my heart broke a little at this bit here. Right now, Roboute Guilliman isn't the Lord Commander of the Imperium, the Imperial Regent, or even the Primarch of the XIIIth Legion Ultramarines. He's the little boy running through the chambers and halls of Macragge; for whom his mother's embrace and his father's smile are all he needs to feel safe and warm. Tarasha Euten and Konor Guilliman did such a good job of raising their boy, and he feels their absence from his life more keenly than ever.
@@Briselance yes actually but there are so many memes made to picture him into a shitty father and human but in lore he was a decent guy and sure alot of his sons would've been better off but it was mainly their origin world like angron, night lord primarch(forgot name),etc. would have been better off
Guilimen went from a bully boy scout to a depressed dreamer doing everything his demigod mind and body can offer, but pilling up more then he can handle in the long run but for now he's mostly alone with no loyal brother to lean on for respite but he must march on till they possibly return For Humanities sake
Gulliman: “Anyone… help me…” Voice from behind: “You need only ask…Brother.” *Gulliman whips his head around to see Lion El’Johnson standing before him smirking and looking down to his brother a hand outstretched* Gulliman: Lion’el!? Lion: on your feet brother. *We* have a galaxy to save.
This shows that Guilliman, although not as "strong" as his other brothers, is the most effective and the most impactful among the primarchs. If any of the other Primarchs were to lead humanity, the Imperium would be long destroyed or enslaved by the meriad threats it faces..
Dorn would be able to do a decent job. Dude had his own empire, too, before Dad found him. Not as big as Ultramar, though. Plus, he's the KING OF TURTLING so he'd really help the Imperium where it counts.
Notice the little bottle in the corner in the last panel. Bobby G tried to alleviate the pain with alcohol, however his superhuman physiology prevents him otherwise. Truly endless pain with no source of relief.
Perturabo, Gulliman are some of my favorite primarchs because they are trying to be something that they dislike and are very human. Perturabo just wants to build and craft for the people, Gulliman wants to govern in peace and not have all the weight be crushed down on him. It’s nice to see that even the god like beings of the primarchs have limits and fears
People always like to laugh at Perturabo, calling him a myriad of thing in which manchild is the least offensive, but they don't realize that Peter was literally use as leverage on Monarchia, people say that "he had a loving family" when that wasn't true, his father saw him as a tool first, son second, his brother hated him for "stealing father's love" while Peter hated him because he had the one thing Peter never had: freedom. Those people don't really know what being forced to do something that you hate does to your psyche, a week of reluctant duty is enough to drive someone to depression, a month is more than enough to fall into vices and suicidal tendencies, and that is without taking account of what war does to you (most soldiers never truly saw more than months of active conflict, and look at them) now imagine what literal centuries of doing it would do.
I don't think Lion would be that great of a brother, he wasn't before the empire went to shit. I would say that right now the one that Guilliman needs is either Jagathai or Lemman
Robute is also arguably the One Living Loyalist Primarch that could have best managed the Situation he found himself in. Even if Sanguinius hadn't been killed on the Vengeful Spirit the state of the Modern Imperium and the Emperor would have crushed him if he had to endure it alone, no matter how overjoyed his sons would have been at his return.
Spectral Ferrus Manus, now Primarch of the Legion of the Damned: *[APPEARS IN A BLAST OF FLAME AND SMOKE]* “I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A PANSIE, ROBOUTE. But you’re still my brother.”
Man, Ferry would such a cun-[BOING!] for saying that. Random warp demon: "At least, the Big Smurf had some real, decent parents, ya overgrown toaster humper."
Voicing your doubts and fears, calling for help, knowing your limitations. This is why it had to be Roboute Guilliman that came back to us first, his is the foundation for the rebuilding of the Emperor's Imperium.
I admit i used to really dislike Roboute Guilliman. My reaction to the news of his resurrection was a deep sigh. But after writing finally improved, he has become one of my favorite primarchs.
I've seen such amazing Warhammer comics come out in the last couple of years. I think my favorite so far is probably the "You Have More Than Earned It" comic with the Emperor himself.

Guilliman: "someone.... help me..." Vulkan busts down door aftwr door, room after room, bathroom after bathroom while the ultramarine is doing his thing, takes an elevator door while music is playing: BROTHER I AM HERE!!!
1:36 this shot of his face has one side covered with stubble and the other clean cut- and his only hopeful sentence on the page, about searching for his brothers, is on the clean side. Nice attention to detail.
I imagine something like this happening if/when Lion El'Johnson returns: Guilliman hears of his brother's return and makes full haste towards the Rock. Being the first meeting of two loyalist Primarchs in ten thousand years, every effort is made to make it a proper ceremony. Guilliman's ships lands, and when the loading ramp opens there is already a crowd gathering in the thousands and growing. Honour guards from both the Ultramarines and the Dark Angels Deathwing flank the hall prepared for the brothers to finally meet again. The Lion stands waiting opposite the shuttle, and when he sees Guilliman exit the small craft he corrects his posture just in case. From the perspective of the First, he had not been away from his brother too long and merely hoped this whole ordeal could be over soon so they could speak on more pressing matters. Guilliman sees his brother and starts walking towards him. The Lion does the same so that they can meet in the middle. They stop only a few meters from each other and the Lion holds out his hand in greeting. "Hello, Roboute." the Lion says, putting on a formal smile, "I trust your journey was a safe one?" Guilliman is silent. He had a speech prepared for the benefit of those spectating. He wanted to shake his brother's hand, give the people an image of strength and unity. He cannot. Before he could stop himself, Guilliman throws himself forward and pulls Johnson into a hug that would make Vulkan proud. "I've missed you, brother..." Guilliman says quietly, all of the exhaustion hitting him at once.
The virgin "no matter how much of myself i pour into this rotting empire there is always more." versus the chad "I can do anything because I am Belisarius Cawl" (he was told an obviously impossible task is impossible).
Out of all the Primarchs, Guilliman is my favorite. He had a good life and was the best at what he did and had a good future ahead of him. Then the heresy happened, then he was put into stasis after nearly dying only to return 10,000 years later being the only Primarch available to rule with the others being missing or traitors. He is alone but he continues onward.
I wish that this have a part 2, or just one more page that shows a flash of light, the shutted door behind Guilliman showly open and The Lion walked in, looked that his brother the first time after thousands of years and said: "Rise brother, you are not alone"
This hurts my soul, this is legit how Guilliman feels like all the time now. Ever since his return he’s been fighting to save the imperium and the imperium itself. This man needs a break, can’t wait to see the Lion return to Terra
Sad that he came back to the galaxy only to realize the horror of the Imperium had become after his brother’s betrayal. To see that humanity is still fighting for survival, to remain united against the many enemies that wish to see them suffer. Truly a cruel horrible fate for anyone, even an immortal Primarch to endure. To be the only one with the authority and sense of mind to try and fix the Empire that has fallen so far from what it once was.
*it reminds me of a fanfic i read about a Iron warrior that decided that inuff was inuff, so he left the chapter before they wemt full heresy and settled down on a Agriworld*
Guillyboy experiencing what Dorn had to deal with the entire Heresy. Y'know being Lord Commander of the Imperium, juggling between having to fight his now Chaos-corrupted brothers and dealing with so much bullshit it gives him ultradepression. 😞 Blue boy needs a break man.
Every time i look to this video, I remember that entire final moment that Gulliman had with his father Konor, I like to think that occasionally he pulls out that ancient coin and looks at his fathers visage, remembering the words of his father as a way to keep going.

Lion has canonically been around since that DA codex 4 or so years ago.
Hasn't don't anything plot wise, but he's around.
He did. He got one

Honestly, Dorn and Vulkan are of those really needed now.
Dorn as the deffender would make deffenses strong enough against many enemies of the Imperium, or at least provoke The penultimate manchild to move out of his basement (Perturabo)

One thing to note. When he says mother and father, he's referring to Tarasha Euten and Konor Guilliman.
This is kind of hilarious given the rumours the Lion's been awake for a while and just not felt telling Guilliman was high on his list of priorities.
To be fair, wasn't there also mention of the Fallen unifying into a single force and Luther escaping to lead them.
Maybe The Lion is on the other side of the Great Rift and he has no way of contacting Guilliman even if he wanted to.

If there is a book for another loyalist returning, this is how it should start, Guilliman seemingly giving into to despair and then we go the pov of that Primarch reacting to the state of the galaxy and deciding "Shit's fucked, time to fix it."
Like Leman appears out of the Warp in a beaten up, stolen ship, feeling like he's aged 1,000 years in five minutes and ready to do his duty, or Dorn either breaking out of Trazyn's prison or he emerges from some dead world he was hiding out on, or a short book series of the Salamanders finally finding the last few Relics of Vulkan and then papa arrives and crushes whatever Chaos forces showed up to steal his shit, or my favorite even Jaghatai popping out of the webway with his fellow escaped Dark Eldar slaves and even befriending an Eldar from Saim-Hann (the Craftworld speedfreaks) and decided to go see his bois, or the Lion waking up and deciding to kick some ass and take names and give those names to new people

The Ultradepression is strong with this one.
And fighting his own doubts and pain
Mental health is important, take a day or two, the blood thirsters will be here when you're ready."

Guilliman: I wanna fvuking cease living...
Dante: Same here, bro.
I think seeing Roboute Guilluman look haggard and beat-down would shock any of the loyalist brother. Vulcan would definitely give hugs
welp, now you're gonna get your wish and see what happen.

I bloody well hope so. Guilliman needs help holding the fort.
I may not be a son of Guilliman, I may still call him an ultrasmurf, but god damn do i wanna give him a hug this poor blueberry man needs it
That five o’clock shadow only adds to the dour mood.
It´s definitly the adoptive parents, though to him they ARE his parents.
he sees Big E as his creator and nothing else.
His adopted parents shower him too much with love and how to be human despite being a 10feet tall demi god.
That humanity is why he's the best, why it's him holding everything together. Nobody else could...
@@christbenitez8797Well yes, he was their boy. How could they not, adoptive or not?
Guilliman looks like the kind of tired that an extended sleep in cryostasis wouldn't fix.
Guilliman has become one of my favourite characters of late. This...this is perfect! Guilliman fixes one issue, only for ten more to appear, even then it's only a temporary fix...
This guy read his Know no Fear and Unremembered Empire. This is the real Roboute Guilliman.
LION IS COMING BABY!
I hope Roboute would suddenly just hug Loin outta of nowhere... if they ever meet.
Guilli-mom is the best mom a primarch could ask for.
Emperor: "Welcome to my world son, doesn't feel good does it? Maybe remember this lesson the next time any of your brother start getting antsy."
Gee... Neoth/Big E would so callous to say that. 😟 does he even remotely care for anyone other than himself?

Perturabo, Gulliman are some of my favorite primarchs because they are trying to be something that they dislike and are very human. Perturabo just wants to build and craft for the people, Gulliman wants to govern in peace and not have all the weight be crushed down on him. It’s nice to see that even the god like beings of the primarchs have limits and fears
In the words of peterabo I want to build this not war machines
Also fan favorite God is cringe
I think Perturabo is one of my top 3 favorite primarchs
Well good news Guilliman, you may not be alone much longer :)

Nice attention to detail.
this is less haunting now that we know the lion is back baby
I imagine something like this happening if/when Lion El'Johnson returns:
Guilliman hears of his brother's return and makes full haste towards the Rock.
"Hello, Roboute." the Lion says, putting on a formal smile, "I trust your journey was a safe one?"
Guilliman is silent.
All my yes
@@ChaoticVoicesofAndreas And then, just over a week later, the Lion comes back with a new model and everything.

I miss my brothers
Lion: sup blueberry 🎅
Gulliman: 😢😊
Out of all the Primarchs, Guilliman is my favorite. He had a good life and was the best at what he did and had a good future ahead of him. Then the heresy happened, then he was put into stasis after nearly dying only to return 10,000 years later being the only Primarch available to rule with the others being missing or traitors. He is alone but he continues onward.
I wish that this have a part 2, or just one more page that shows a flash of light, the shutted door behind Guilliman showly open and The Lion walked in, looked that his brother the first time after thousands of years and said:
"Rise brother, you are not alone"
You can always ask the artist to make a part 2!
This hurts my soul, this is legit how Guilliman feels like all the time now. Ever since his return he’s been fighting to save the imperium and the imperium itself. This man needs a break, can’t wait to see the Lion return to Terra
A man fighting for an Imperium that disgusts him built by a creator he barely tolerates with his brothers all dead, missing, or actively his enemies.
The ultimate grimdark for guilliman is an empire that can't be made efficient.
1:38 when the oldest brother must look after his younger siblings and abandon his dreams after his mom and dad suddenly died.
This kinda brings some hope back to the big blue berry since the lion finally woke up
Guilliman: send me your kindest angel
Lion El Johnson: laughs maniacally
Guilliman’s back is tired of carrying this Imperium by himself yet he still carries. Now that The Lion is back perhaps he can get some breathing room.
