Wonderful music. Andreas Scholl is mesmerising and the music is very moving. A totally different vocally dominated approach from Pergolesi obviously reliant on having a very experienced, capable and brave soloist.

I can’t praise this performance enough. Words fail to express my appreciation. The excellence of phrasing and articulation gives me goosebumps. The last part, beginning at 35:54 until the end, is out of this world! Absolutely sublime ✨ Vivaldi and Pergolesi would have loved this so much!!

Lovely comment which I really needed to hear ,especially this year . I lost my son Michael age 32 through suicide in April this year and October 7th has made me very fearful for my chidren and grand chidren and for all the nice people in the world. I have nothing left over for the bullying ones and those who have been duped by them . Pray for my family please . All the wonderful religious music helps though Sinead Cornwall

Rosano's Stabat Mater is dark in a beautiful way, and very enchanting. Pro Peccatis and Juxta Crucem are my personal favorites, they're just divine. Creating a whole new experience out of something traditional requires great talent, especially if you have Pergolesi and Vivaldi as opponents... They would be proud.

I love this work. Sorry Pergolesi, but Rosano's is the most moving Stabat Mater of all times. The "O Quam Tristis" is breathtakingly beautiful. Andreas' performance is so deep and intense that I can't imagine a better one. Thank you Marco!!

it will be surprise for u, but there are many Stabat Mater's - not only Pergolesi) for example "moving" SM listen to Sances version. And by the way this SM - by Rosano - is very distant from Pergolesi's style.
this is a nice interpretation. but Vivaldi's is superior, especially with Andreas performing it.
How can you compare the two composers?

Creo que expresa una visión abierta, en pie, en movimiento rítmico pero imperfecto, diría, diferente a como los compositores clásicos han mostrado como pudo ser aquel dolor de María. Bravo!!!
