This run was absolutely wild to say the least. While it may not have certainly gone the most smoothly in terms of gameplay, it definitely made for a lot of hilarious and interesting scenarios that I'm glad we all got to share together. I'm incredibly grateful for GDQ giving me the opportunity to do the Fallout Anthology run at their event, and can't thank them enough for the opportunity.
About when we got to Fallout 3 in the run, the donation tracker at the event went offline and stayed down for the rest of the run. Staff was trying their hardest to get it back up and working, but they weren’t able to do so until after my run. That’s why there’s a lack of donations through most the run. You can see me looking to the donation table at several points throughout the run to see if they were back up because I was running out of things to say, but every time Edobean would just shake her head at me saying that it wasn’t fixed yet, so a lot of moments throughout the run was just us trying to think of things to talk about.

super grateful for having been given the opportunity to do this run at gdq. also would be grateful if you follow me on twitter @tomatoanus :)
So glad they let you kn. Should've submitted the getting laid run ;)
Sad I missed the run live, super hype to get to watch it now. You're definitely one of my favourite runners, big love from Ireland.
I really hope you aren't trying to take credit for TomatoAngus's work, that's not cool
Dude, this run was hands down one of the best I've ever seen. All the respect, you had such charisma and strength with the crowd. Great job.
Nice to see you get some Gdq time, you’ve always been one of the most entertaining runners, great run!

That is the most speedrunner thing I've ever heard
Let me explain coc2 while my wife is being murdered and my infant child is being abducted by a cyborg

The way Tomato never acknowledges the Taylor Swift pipboy in the Fallout 4 run is the cherry on top of this amazing run.
The only thing is the "yeah" when it comes up on the loading screen towards the end
They try so hard to bring attention to it but he just talks louder 😂
He does at 2:03:23
This madlad made/brought a prop to a major event to explain a glitch. This is one of the big reasons why I love tomatoanus so much.
who is tomatoanus?
he also made a dude put on a bunch of pants
All while Chocolatine's wife is murdered
Liam Roy Pretty understandable that they’d forget the g, since it is silent after all.
Also the explanation took longer than the execution
You should know that chat was full of:
(a) People that had never heard of you,
(b) People that said you were great,
(c) People that said it was probably the best run in the Marathon for commentary alone.
So, I'd say you knocked it out of the park. I thought the radaway thing was hilarious and so did chat.
the radaway saga is a tale i'll tell my grandkids.
The overtime runs are always the best ones.
@@dbptwg His TH-cam channel is a gold mine. Whether watching his own runs or him commentating on other's runs.
Man this Tomatoangus guy is very good! Tomatoanus has nothing on him
Ikr smh
That Tomatoangus lad needs to make his own channel, bet it'll be better than Tomatoanus'
@@atomiccrusader6839 Yeah! He sure did explain that one glitch! Tomatoanus can't explain that one ha ha
@electric bungalow Tomatoanus stole Tomatoangus's voice clips too.

Best things about this speedrun:
1. "I have to science the door"
2. "Hey, what are you doing here?" "No, don't worry about it." *explosion*
3. Giving the President Store Credit
4. Taking a Knee Saves 20 Seconds
5. Slide through the wall to avoid your own birthday party, like anyone would
6. "I guess it was nothing"
7. Chet made a really bad decision in life today.
8. "Alright, close your eyes... I'm a jet right now"
9. Say okay to the Boomers
10. "We're going to say 'Hi' to Mr. House..." *BANG* "We're going to say 'bye' to Mr. House..."
11. Meeting Ron the Narrator
12. Showing the CLIVE Diorama while his wife is being murdered
13. Never, ever acknowledging Taylor Swift
14. He really is good at putting on pants.
15. "I'm going to _negotiate_ ..."
16. "Paul Revere is the father of speedrunning"
17. "AW THERE WAS RADAWAY RIGHT HERE?!?!"
Don't discount Tom Blair Witching it in the corner.
Bruh you forgot the spoon
U also forgot fawkes not being a bro lol
Don't forget about the audience. I loved their reactions to Tomato's jokes.
Any hint on this? - Quicksave, quickload.
capping off the coc2 explanation with "that saves 40 seconds" was the ultimate punchline
Can I have a time?
@@mitzo4526 1:10:44
Hmm this guy kinda sounds like tomatoanus, wonder if they're related
we keep missing each other in the hallways at gdq, dying to meet him
I think they're both needlepeen's sons
I think TomatoAngus is better looking... But you might be onto something. 🤔
I shit you not when I was watching the run I thought it was a different person because it said angus instead of anus.
big if true
Tomato you just uncovered a mystery... the reason why Bethesda has the games with the most bugs is because they make them just to have an in-office speedrun at the end:
"so hey, matt, uhm... we found this bug that lets you fly across the map when you jump funny against a traffic cone, wanna patch it before we ship fallout?"
"are you crazy Amanda!?!? That's the only way I'm lowering my PB to sub 21 minutes!"

I think I shed a tear.
One day someone will sequence-break it and speedrunners of the world will rejoice

@@praxxor718 ...and then about a day later someone will discover early Institute and render the whole thing moot :D
@@BackwardsPancake
You can already get to the institute early, but you can't do the final quests without doing the earlier quest to build the teleporter.
Sequence skipping may exist, but you're still going to have to complete the quest to build the teleporter or corrupt the quest flags somehow so it thinks you did.
This speedrun really makes Fallout 1 & 2 look like urban terrorism simulators
Isnt that what they always were tho...
Gonna give the president some store credit irl
"there was radaway right here" killed me
Thy Jeffinater What made it even better is how he’s knowledgeable enough to know that a random upstairs bedroom has jet beside it, but can’t find radaway

you've gotta be one of the most charismatic runners at these events, great commentary everytime, also fallout 4 has been absolutely bastardized since i've last seen it, great run.
not sure you are using bastardized properly but i do know you don't care and will continue to bastardize the english language further
God the Khans must've been so confused to see some random fuckoff mailman fly around at 300 mph
he is the fucking mailman
Tomatoanus has 10 Charisma irl - he explains everything so well, so constantly entertaining, and all while speedrunning 5 games in a row
Indeed. He is one of the most funny and charismatic people I have ever seen, along with catalystz and Vysuals.
His name went from shitpost to a viable dish thanks to AGDQ
"I have nine frag mines; we're fine"

This run is without a doubt one of the funniest, most entertaining, and informative GDQ speedruns I've ever seen (and I've watched a three digit number of them). Absolutely fantastic, 7/5. Would bang again.
I just wish I were done by TomatoAnus, and not this fraud.
Simo Iiskola this and ThaRixer’s Jak 3 run
Yup! Watched this run again like 4 times just because of the entertainment value.
Guess it was something.
If you enjoy extremely entertaining runs, check out heyzeusHeresToast’s Bloodborne GDQ run, it’s hilarious and he’s brimming with personality.
Yeah he's such a good commentator. Most speedrunners are about as good at commentating as dead chickens
I too want TomatoAnus to do me
Dear Angus with a silent G... I've been following you for a while, but damn you surprised me live.
you were more witty than I had expected, I was slightly afraid you would not be as good as I had hoped, but damn... you blew me away!
TY in all honesty for running this. The cause means a lot to me and so does fallout.
FFS you did good bro, you made me proud of you, feeling like a mom looking at her grandest achievement :D
Look at him, he's doing that.
Keep going and have a great 2020

@@ClassicaI ah, just like silent hill. Nice
Oh you're talking about his final form

All of a sudden, before you even draw your weapon, he is upon you. Then he disappears right in front of you and you feel a presence behind you. You only catch a glimpse of him before you see him phase through the wall.
And from above you hear the dreaded phrase, the one all people in Washington DC fear:
"I guess it was nothing."
I loved "tomatoangus, the 'g' is silent".
Mr Tomato "The g is silent" angus
This absolute jank of a run was absolutely amazing. Also, mad props for going for cliff cripple at a GDQ, never in my wildest dreams thought you'd do that.

Im really glad this angus guy got on gdq. He deserves all the exposure he can get, but a part of me wishes it was tomatoanus instead. Really like that guy
Watching you at GDQ was an absolute gift. Despite all the hiccups it was the single most entertaining run I've ever seen. Can't wait to see if you go back next year!

@@snowfloofcathug yeah saw that by the end of the run lol
Where was that?
@KaedeBae thank you

Real Gs move in silence like TomatoAngus.
Memes aside, tomato seems like a really good dude. I think it struck me with his photo-sensitivity warning - just stuff that he didn't have to do, but he took a moment out of his commentary to let people know in case it did apply to them.
Carl D'Souza i totally agree, i have photosensitive epilepsy (which means i usually have to be super careful about what sort of runs i watch) and it was really meaningful to have him call out a warning and be intentional like that
Sorry I know this is from months ago but I just wanted to say I agree. Tomatoanus is a champion and I appreciate him a whole lot.
"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." It's a cliche, but that's because it's true.
On a lot of his runs, he'll call out segments with photosensitivity, arachnophobia, and trypophobia warnings, and his speedrun explained runs will usually have a positive mental health message break. I get that anyone can say anything, and we're all human, but he does seem like a decent dude.
@@fae-chan7914 it shouldn't be everyone else's responsibility to cater to your disability. Idk why you're watching video game stream if you are "photosensitive".
Grow up. The world doesn't revolve around you, you fucking idiot.
I know it’s a bit silly, but whenever I’m having a bad day, I rewatch this speedrun video to make me feel better. Tomato’s sense of humor always makes me smile.
That Visual Aid was the greatest thing I've seen in ages, even if it looked the the moment you finally lost your mind
The Fallout 4 segment of this anthology run was by far the most entertaining speedrun ive ever seen, and even despite all the things happening, everything was still explained super clearly so everyone could follow along for the ride. Not to mention 10/10 props.
I remember catching this live and my friends in a Discord server were going absolutely wild, especially when you got infinite reload dash on the first try, when you pulled out the model, and when you found the RadAway 5 feet from you. It was an absolute joy to watch you hard-carry this run for two hours straight.
I don't know why but the visual of Old Ben just grabbing the Courier's shoulder while he's going mach 3 and stopping him in his tracks is hilarious
Tomatoanus looking better showing up at a speedrun convention than professional models during paris fashion week
Don't you mean Tomatoangus? I don't see a "Tomatoanus" anywhere around here.
I apologize this was inappropriate
Tomato is the only speedrun ive seen to prepare not 1, but 3 demonstrations for how stuff works
big tommy, its beautiful to see how this speedrunning community grew up so well! cheers bro!
Hands down one of the best commentaries during gameplay I've ever seen at agdq. Hilarious, from the Taylor swift pip-boy you totally ignored like it wasn't there, to the radaway bit, to "then we arm the bomb" at the president's office. Laughed the whole way through watching this amazing display of knowledge and skill.
Dude you managing to continue explaining while that T.Swift texture popped in is legendary.
1:44:15 "And for the Kellog I'm going to uhm negotiate"
It kills me how he starts this bullshit explanation on how the fat man is actually for a skill check to get the chip from kellog and not for shooting him and while he explains he nukes kellog
Had the pleasure of hosting this on the german restream and honestly all I wanted to do is turn up the main sound to 100% and enjoy this amazing run with a great couch.
Silent G man. Silent G.
This was hands down one of my all-time favorite marathon speedruns, I've always loved the Fallout franchise but seeing just how janky & broken you can make it has made me love it even more.
TomatoAnus is one of the goats.
This was my favorite speedrun so far. Tomato is such a great guy
That COC demonstration without your deadpan voice was incredible, still hope GDQ doesnt ban you over your name though.
I just watched this on twitch yesterday after getting my wisdom teeth out and I loved it, thanks for being so entertaining and making my day a much better one :)
Good luck bro, I got my wisdom teeth out too 2 days ago so I feel you.
For Tomato : definitly the same comment ! Probably the most entertaining run I saw at AGDQ this year.

"Kinda weird to have a place entirely inhabited by children next to a place called murder pass"
Tbf, the children named it that.
I watched you run the whole Anthology live and you have a great personality. You're really humble and you look like you're genuinely grateful for the opportunities you had during your speedrunning career. God bless you!
He also just seems like someone who has a true love for video games
Quite simply the most entertaining GDQ run I've ever witnessed. So fun to watch from start to finish! Tomato has set a super high bar for future events.
Agreed. I cant believe I watched the whole thing
I gotta say, I've seen a lot of GDQ runs, but this hast to be one of the most entertaining ones yet. Especially when you pulled out your elevator prop or 7 sets of pants, twitch chat went crazy :D
I’ve tried talking to my friends while playing Fallout 4 before and I swear being able to split your focus between pulling off speedrunning tricks and explaining said tricks is fucking _hard,_ I have a newfound respect for TomatoAnus and his fellow speed runners for being able to pull that off
"there was RADAWAY right HERE!"
lol
2 years later and I still watch this video all the time. Honestly one of the most entertaining videos on this website
in the new vegas run, some people say, to this day, sunny smiles is still waiting for the courier in the prospector's saloon.
I have watched this run a good 2-3 times and I love it every time, this is what a marathon run should be! funny, entertaining and really informative. This run when I saw it live prompted me to search out your channel and watch your other stuff which has been awesome too. This run is just so much fun to watch and thank you so much for doing it
"Thank you all for bearing with this disaster" should be the opening words of every Bethesda E3 presentation.
Just wanted to stop by and say that you're one of a small number of runners that really got me into speed running. I love the Fallout series and your commentary is always really insightful and funny. Keep it up buddy :)
The Fallout 3 Speed Cripple bit felt like falling through infinite portals.
Honestly? This COULD have been very boring, but it wasn't. It's like a ted-talk speedrun and I was engaged for longer than I've ever been engaged with a speedrun as a casual viewer who doesn't do them. Awesome!
When you buy the bundle and got 3 hours to refund it. Loved the run!
3 years late but this is one of the best GDQ speedruns I’ve ever watched. Subbed.
This is this GDQ's the most powerful run that sets the bar and standard on how should one present their runs.
Marvelous, can't be thankful enough for it, Mr. An(g)us :)
This is my most favorite speed run video of all time, I really hope you do more like this, shit is hilarious and so dope!!! I can’t even remember how many times I’ve watched this
100% speed run god when it comes to commentary and explanations. glad a way around anus was agreed upon, made it even funnier lmao
also Muffin, best couch commentator i’ve seen. bravo

I am forever loving watching or just listening to tomatoanus' videos. That voice. The feel good vibes. Always an enjoyment. Keep doing what you're doing man. It has an impact and it's meaningful.

The music is PERFECTLY timed for that. This whole stream was hilarious, the freak luck of comedic timing was impeccable. An absolute joy to watch.
I remember the first anthology speedrun of yours I saw... The description said something along the lines of “Really happy with the commentary this time.”
As I read it, you were echoing the overworld music of Fallout 1’s “do do dos”
Your commentary has gotten so much better than that since then!
This was an amazing run, even with the gameplay hiccups the entertainment value is sky high. You’re an incredible runner and such a charismatic host!
Best part of this is the quintessential CovertMuffin laugh.
I can never get enough. It's perfect.
I love this run so much. Thanks for highlighting the fun part of speed running and taking the time to inform and entertain everyone who witnessed this run.
It's awesome to see such dedication from a player for a run. It's plain to see the joy that Tommy gets from playing and explaining the run. His commentary was top-notch, even through the more stressful or unexpected part of the run!
Edit: Just got to "-smacks the ground with a baton- I don't have frag mines, that's okay though! We- OH, there was Radaway right here?!?!" at 2:12:40 and just lost it. This run is definitely one of my favorites across all GDQs!
I didn’t even know you were running, damn I would have watched. Thanks for the upload so I can enjoy it here
Colonel, I'm trying to speedrun Fallout 4. But I'm dummy thicc, and the clap of my pant legs keeps manipulating the RNG.
