You realize most children are not planned for; emotionally, physically or financially. People who can't afford to even feed themselves do not place therapy as a priority in their lives. In a wealthy communist country the government should have better plans for the maintenance of rural areas. Building agri based factories, assistance for agriculture, hospitals and schools would have halted the migration of rural workers to the cities and thus stopping the desperation based actions towards people's behaviours. This isn't just a problem in the east.

The worst thing is is that she has to take care of her own sisters. The dad isn't even contributing. It doesn't say he was a job, unlike her step-mom, and from what I can see all he does is smoke and drink.
If you are so poor to the point of making your offsprings cry then don't have kids...it's simple as that. Being a parent is a privilege but also a duty. It hurts me to see kids like this. I can relate in some way when I was little my parents couldn't afford to buy me toys...and seeing other kids happily playing made me really envious of them...
The problem is they don't have the knowledge to comprehend that. And even though there are stuff like condoms and other counter measures, they'd rather spend money on alcohol than that.
Not all people were as lucky as you who were born with parent who 1) has the will to take counter measures against fate and 2) doesn't neglect educating their kids to do the same.
Serious question. Is she available for adoption???? She deserves a better environment and opportunities. A daughter/son should never be afraid of her/his parents.

The corruption, government bribery and greed are causing this. The gap between ultra rich and ultra poor is huge in China. Another poor girl comes from a typical son-preferred Chinese family, her parents gave birth to 4 girls but insisting to have a son after that. And the only son will be a bloodsucker on his sisters once they grow up. What a tragedy is always repeating in Chinese villages. :(
As a Chinese outside the Mainland, you do not know some feudal practices still exist in China. When daughters are 'married out', they become the properties of others, unlike in your world, married daughters still take care of their parents. These poor labourers cannot save up for their old age and there's no pension system for these folks in China, contrary to what China people must have boasted to you. Therefore, a son is the only child whom they can depend on when they are in old age. In China, when a man gets married, he is solely responsible for all the expenses for the wedding, purchase of a house and the furnishing, not to mention the huge dowry he has to pay to the bride's parents. And when a woman remarries, she has to cut off ties with her children who are born to her first marriage.

India
Not all people were as lucky as you who were born with parent who 1) has the will to take counter measures against fate and 2) doesn't neglect educating their kids to do the same.
Serious question. Is she available for adoption???? She deserves a better environment and opportunities. A daughter/son should never be afraid of her/his parents.
Adaptation is china is very strict ...has rules
@@mirzaduratovic6540 Even if she's 16 people can still adopt and give better life and comfort life.
Tazboy Adaptation? Pretty sure adaptation is a completely different topic than adoption
I wish that she is given a 2nd chance to start her new life in a caring family, especially with a motherly love ?
You are great ! I was thinking the same thing. I wish if you have anyone to adopt her and give her a better life ?
Hope she can stay strong and pursue the way she wants to live, rather than being a slave to her family.

it's hard, special when she have been told it since a kid. Big sister gonna help family, at least help younger sister/brothers.
Since, she look like she's pure heart too. She can ignore the dad, but she will never can ignore her little sister & little brothers.
She raise them since they're born. She feed them & playing with them, take care of them from earlier day, it hard to go away to living her life..
Next time please put some effort on a donation campaign, something useful other than just showing the problem, only for views and drama. You got us touched by that, so what now...how long will that situation sustain...sending prayers and love from Brazil... for now...donations if you make a solid campaign to get her back to school

GREAT COMMENT 👍🏼 100% AGREE
Why donation? Are you going to donate your money to the local government or Chinese charity where they will take your money for something else? The corruption, government bribery and greed are causing this. The gap between ultra rich and ultra poor is huge in China. The government keeps on bragging they have tons of money, the second largest economy in the world, so they should be taking care of their people instead of taking advantage on others compassion. Better donate your money to doctors without border or other credible charities.
When she was saying how her father beats her my heart sank. No child should go through that.
I’m just a broke college student but I’d be a way better parent to these children. And I’d be beyond blessed to have a daughter as bright and strong as she is. The man doesn’t realize what a gem she really is
She is so sweet! She doesn't deserve such a miserable life.
I pray her struggle will bring joy and happiness someday ..brave girl
How can I help? Where is the donation link? What is the point of getting us to watch this knowing we will never be any help to her??
I think there is reason they don’t put link out there. There are thousands hundred families out there worsen than her family not only in China but also the world. I do feel really bad about this girl situation. The most important thing is the message we took from video. I’ll be more cautious about what I’m paying for and when I become older and I want to help ppl in poverty for sure. I hope the world will become a better place for every kind person in the world.

Can we have an update on this child? Is there any way we can directly help her (and not her idiotic father who spends the hard earned money in cigarettes and beer) ?
My heart goes to her, poor girl. I regularly check this vid for an update, I hope we get one one day.
She’s right. How could a father hit a beautiful child that HE created! I feel for her
Another poor girl comes from a typical son-preferred Chinese family, her parents gave birth to 4 girls but insisting to have a son after that.
These poor labourers cannot save up for their old age and there's no
pension system for these folks in China, contrary to what China people must have boasted to you.
This problem is present in every 3rd world country unfortunately
ktkska 888 so what if u are outside the mainland? U consider urself better Than mainlanders chinese? Its ur culture and its ur heritage, dont forget that, dont blame others
@@TheBluvigo yea but it's different when you live in mainland or not, outside parents can at least see how other families live but in china is normal to prefer boys, I'm from traditional Chinese family but my parents are not that strict with me and I'm happy about it... I think system in China is really bad, kids are in school till 5pm and they have always homework, mine parents learned that boys is not more than girls... But just think about it, in past, king always wanted son to take their place, everything changed just these years, and just think about Maria Theresa, she became a ruler just because she didn't have brother, if she had one she would never became a queen. It's not just China who prefered boys, it was all over the world. But I'm still happy who I'm and where I'm
@@TheBluvigo He's explaining the culture from the perspective of someone who is from that culture and happens to live outside of China as opposed to the perspective of someone living outside of China and not from that culture. Nowhere in his comment did he ever say he was superior to Chinese living in the mainland. That first sentence should have been made into two.
This is so heartbreaking. Henan is where my dad came from. I now live in Canada and don't have to pay a cent for school because he and my mom were able to do really well in school and make a life for themselves. This really puts things into perspective. She is incredibly strong.
School is free here and also mandatory. I always found that heartbreaking in these poor areas even school cost money to attend.
Gunship they need to pay for textbook and school uniforms. So they still need to pay for their education
I thought China could afford to have free school for children. I was surprised they have to pay.
If I had extra money I would adopt her and her sister.
@Hong Ma I thought the school charged tuition, but I watched the video months ago so I don't remember.
If they just had one child, she'd be able to complete her education, put some flooring in the house, have running water
Yeah, but they probably wanted son, So they keep trying till they get son.

She should not give up. There is so much time for her to go to school and get high school diploma at any age.
I believe in her.
Ik this video is from 2018 but this girl has been through a LOT. We need to start appreciating what we have now. I would feel guilty if I didn’t.
Looking at these documentations makes me feel how fortunate I'm.
5:10 “Sometimes I think it would have been better if I was the one who died”: 1.Life is hard and she's world-weary. 2.She miss her deceased grandparents she grew up with, not her parents.
She felt that way, because she wanted her grandparents to be happy together, instead of her living
It's bitter sweet, and sad
She has got the kindest heart ever
Poor girl. I'm guessing the man(he dont deserve to be called her father) dont want her working at places far away is because he didn't want his "servant" to go.
I have to wonder WTH her father is doing to support the family.

My father is just like hers. I dont think he worries about her. He is more worried that she would be alone doing her own thing and that he has no control. My life was like that until I moved out. Is there a link to sponsor the family or make a donation? This girl is amazing and to see her life is this now and she is so young, it's heart breaking.

She deserves to come to America and get education

She looks very wounded inside. Hope she will love her siblings, support and guide them.
It's just a vicious cycle. Her dad knows no better and he is frustrated. His wife has to be loyal to him. She is just an amazingly strong girl and she will be an amazing mother one day. I wish her the best. This is what a strong woman looks like people.
@Transformation + yes! She needs to grow, to mature and not just get married to continued being ensalved!
This girl is soo much matured than many 40 yr olds i ve known... the pain in her face when she speaks of her family(dad).. she wishing to trade her granpa place in death, working to send her siblings to school.. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That entire interview segment as she puts hay or smth into the fire is actually so sad. It is natural motherly instincts to protect and sacrifice YOURSELF for your children, not the other way around. This is pure selfishness and their retirement plan.
