She truly is amazing. There are many grandmothers like her (including my own) who worked so hard to help their grandchildren and family. It breaks my heart to see that the mother does less work than the grandmother, who really should have been retired by now.
i'm so sad he had to drop school and give up on his education... for most people that's important for our future but poor people have to drop school because they can't afford it and it's easier for them to get a job with a bad payment. i feel so sorry for taking my education for granted and complaining a lot about it

That is why they do not need a bigger, better house. all they need is job! For living. I have lived in a house that has a toilet, no bedrooms. Our house was like 14 sqm. And that includes, toilet, sink, and the place where we sleep in and yes! Dining area all in one. We just need job, to make ourselves slowly prosfer.

The grandma is clearly the MVP. She takes care of the kids when both parents aren’t there. She grows crops to feed them, works the fields day and night. Dad complains about being useless, mom hates dad for bring poor. Grandma has no drama and deserves the award ⭐️

Beatings is common in parts of China for discipline although idk the context of the video u watched. I was beat as a child when I did something bad. It's not a great way of teaching your kids as we grow up to respect you out of fear and not actual love and respect. In fact you can get hit with a ruler on your palm in some school's in China. It is part of our culture but we are slowly changing and it is becoming less common. However population of china is pretty big so unoo it prob take a while
@Kevin. Not every parent beats their children to teach them discipline but they do it to take out their own frustrations. Studies have shown beating kids doesn't lead to great grades but high suicide rates. Parents can't beat strangers because it can lead to prison, but their kids will tolerate the abuse. Culture is a weak argument for abuse. One child policy in China led to female feticide. And abusers will say that's also part of our culture. Only an abuser would say that's ok.

I could care less about judging. For all we know someone gave them to her when she was looking for work in the city. All that matters to me is that the kids are happier because they have their mom with them again.

I was not expecting that. Seems like the mother came back probably out of being embarrassment for leaving her kids because his story went global. And it's sad that the grandmother was forced to continue to live there. I watched a documentary about the new settlements they are making them move into. They're apartments mostly. Hopefully, she'll have a better life.

Having worked on potato farms myself I can tell you that without machinery it's a nightmare. Even with machinery it's back breaking. I was in my late teens and early twenties when I was working them though, Granny is a powerhouse! 💙🏴🌍🇨🇳❤

mamta rai they are in China. There's a lot of people that live with them and also that means they might have to share money and food and they are still very poor and can't afford to do that. In situations like this it's better to live in small families or else you go poor because you need to care for so many people. And they are already poor.

She heard the story of 56000 pounds being donated to the kid which is what her husband would make in like 10 years of work. She didn't get the memo that the charity only gave them 900 and kept the rest "for other children in need". So she wanted a piece of that windfall. But upon realising she didn't have the full story and she couldn't simply freeload and spend it all she realised she made the wrong choice. Hence wanting to divorce. Best part is she blames him for all the issues and being poor. It's like it completely goes over her head she is a human being and can work and try to be successful to... But nope, better blame everyone else.

He is victimizing himself without even knowing it. She probably resents the entire situation of poverty and no hope of escaping the cycle, especially with how the government greed exploits their people. And yes, to some degree him too. Both the husband and wife probably have the mindset that "the man must bring home the bacon," which sadly because of their government the both cannot earn any living wage. And as a result of his own "must bring home the bacon" mindset, he feels even more small, even though it's the entire situation and their government policies that he should realize affect their family and result in poverty. Poverty is not their fault, they both need to stop internalizing that and the sentence she resents him for being poor shouldn't really tug at heart strings as it does, it should actually anger people that they dont have the education to realize how their government has exploited and has caused these micro fissures that affect their insecure identities and everyday lives.

Beatings is common in parts of China for discipline although idk the context of the video u watched. I was beat as a child when I did something bad. It's not a great way of teaching your kids as we grow up to respect you out of fear and not actual love and respect. In fact you can get hit with a ruler on your palm in some school's in China. It is part of our culture but we are slowly changing and it is becoming less common. However population of china is pretty big so unoo it prob take a while

Studies have shown beating kids doesn't lead to great grades but high suicide rates. Parents can't beat strangers because it can lead to prison, but their kids will tolerate the abuse. Culture is a weak argument for abuse. One child policy in China led to female feticide. And abusers will say that's also part of our culture. Only an abuser would say that's ok.

The grandmother is such a strong woman. Is it just me, or I'm sensing a bit of a diva attitude from the wife. 😂 Even the daughter said only her mom knows what she is thinking. Poverty is hard for everyone, but like the father and the children, their uncle and grandmother are all hopeful and working hard to get by.

She didn't get the memo that the charity only gave them 900 and kept the rest "for other children in need". So she wanted a piece of that windfall. But upon realising she didn't have the full story and she couldn't simply freeload and spend it all she realised she made the wrong choice. Hence wanting to divorce. Best part is she blames him for all the issues and being poor. It's like it completely goes over her head she is a human being and can work and try to be successful to... But nope, better blame everyone else.

He is victimizing himself without even knowing it. She probably resents the entire situation of poverty and no hope of escaping the cycle, especially with how the government greed exploits their people. And yes, to some degree him too. Both the husband and wife probably have the mindset that "the man must bring home the bacon," which sadly because of their government the both cannot earn any living wage.
And as a result of his own "must bring home the bacon" mindset, he feels even more small, even though it's the entire situation and their government policies that he should realize affect their family and result in poverty. Poverty is not their fault, they both need to stop internalizing that and the sentence she resents him for being poor shouldn't really tug at heart strings as it does, it should actually anger people that they dont have the education to realize how their government has exploited and has caused these micro fissures that affect their insecure identities and everyday lives.
