I recently came to the conclusion as TV’s are always reviewed against the last years model I can’t tell how much better they are than my LG CX. I still think this TV is awesome with no burn in after 3.5 years of use but it intrigues me as to how far the OLEDs have improved in the last 4 years.
You are one of the first or probably the first UK TH-camr to have this G4 in their home and giving a first impression, thanks for sharing. Would be interested to know the difference between G3 and this and whether is worth upgrading not that I have a G3, like your set up.
Nice G4 OLED! I'm thinking about getting the 77" G4 for my gaming den/basement setup, but was waiting for some more reviews/impressions, including yours since you use a G3 currently! Excited for the full review, keep up the great work!
Awesome tv, still rocking a 65 inch C1 at the moment and it still impresses me every single day. I think I’ll probably hold out another 3-4 years before even considering an upgrade. Oled’s have become so good that these yearly upgrades are just slight improvements, something really groundbreaking has to happen for me to be enticed to upgrade.
I just bought this TV for $2,999.00 including a free LG S90TR 7.1.3 Soundbar. The Soundbar is worth $900, so the TV equals out to be $2,100 which is a crazy good price! You can't even buy a C4 77 for that price at big box retailers.
Still rocking a c9 in my living room and going strong since 2019 💪🏼 by the time I decide to upgrade that bad boy I’m gonna notice some major improvements
I have 77g2, at first I regretted that I didn’t wait for g3, having bought it at the end of 2022. But now I'm very happy with it, g4 looks even more amazing than g3, but I won't change g2 to g4. After g2 I plan to buy 77 or 83g6 size will depend on the availability of money.
Honestly. Every year there some kind of "itch", but in the end the difference is almost not noticable. They are mainly just brigther, but I think the C9s brightness is by far enough, unless you really sit in a very bright room and watch a lot of content during day time. They are trying every year so hard to find "buy arguments" and many fall for it. But it is all way overhyped and there is really barely any difference. I still got the Sony Bravia A80J 77 inch and it is absolutely amazing and flawless. The colors and brightness is amazing, acutally so amazing that it would be 2much saturated if it was even more colorful than it already is and same with the brightness. I often voluntarily choose to turn the brightness down, because after playing for like 1h your eyes will start hurting. 🤣🤣
We just upgraded our livingroom tv from the 55 inch c1 to a 77 inch c3. The c1 has been such an awesome tv so we definitely wanted another LG. Couldnt justify the extra 1000 dollars for the c4 or g4.
I’ve heard that silver bezel causes issues if you’re watching movies in a pitch black room. I hope some of the issues that I’m hearing about this TV aren’t true as I was looking forward to buying the G4 as the rumours said that it’s a pretty decent leap from the G3.
I bought a 77" G1 at the end of 2022, within 14 months it developed a fault, a white line down the centre of the screen. Fun to find out the 5 year extended panel warranty doesn't include labour so they want £680 to repair it. It looks to me like the back is still the same on the G4 and the wall mount is identical and in the same position - so it looks like i'd be able to swap out the 77" G4 for the 77 G1? The other issue we have is a very bright living room with two almost wall sized windows opposite and to the right of the TV, so in the day you can't see a thing on it - the G1 just isn't bright enough even at it's max. For SDR content do you think the G4 can get visibly brighter to the point where it'd be usable in the day in a bright room? If so that alone might be worth swapping it out for this.
Spiderman and Thor just look amazing. My CX is still going strong but seeing how far things have moved on it won't be long till I treat myself. Great video.
I have the opportunity to buy the C4 in 65" for 1,349 euros, or the C4 in 77" for 2,099 euros, I'm not sure if it's worth 750 euros to make the size jump or if I'll be fine with the 65".
If you have any questions about this TV, just let me know. Also, have a great day 🫡
can we get review and side by side comparision of g3 and g4?
nice g4 oled
sound quality of g4 does this think need additional speaker
Max peak brightness with hgig?
Do you sell your previous model that you replaced with this one?
The measurements and dimensions that you provide are so useful and separates you from everyone else NICE G4 OLED
Glad you think so! Something I’ve always done on my TV and monitor videos 🙏
LG are just killing it at the moment!
Killing it same TV asast slightly brighter more expensive still behind Sony Bravia A95L QD OLED 😂

get the g4, oleds usually have way low brightness, which is fixed in the mla panels in g4
$4000 later 😂
Just bought and mounted an LG C3 in my room, love it..
Yeah I snagged one a couple weeks ago and have loved it. Wild upgrade from my previous TV
Same here, also have the 77 inch C3, so happy and a very good picture quality. 🎉
motion is buttery smooth on the g4 and hdr impact is best i have seen to date
What motion settings do you use?
Of note is that the 55 and 65 inch versions of this model come with a stand in the box THANK GOD.

Im still in love with my 77 inch C1.
Hey Spawn! I really love your vids man. So clean!
Btw, do you prefer gaming on consoles than PC? Just curious hehe. More power man!
Nice G4 OLED 🔥 Great video production as always Spawn, keep up the awesome content 💪
Appreciate it!
Let the sales on the 2023s BEGIN!!!
Just bought a 77G3. Its almost half tbe price in my country. G4 is fenomenal but only a slight improvement.

Yea but pretty worthless. Who really needs all that brightness.
Do you sit in your garden outside during the sun and watch tv? 🤣

It would be interesting to compare the brightness in game mode with the other picture modes. On the G3 it is noticeably dimmer

No way. I assumed the UK were the last to have these, seen a few others with them already.

How much of an improvement is it over the g3 ?
Is it worth upgrading from the Samsung QN90B (MiniLED)?

83 C4 or 77 G4? 9 feet distance. HDR gaming and movies.

A95L is better overall.
If you don’t mind the whites looking blue and a darker image, the A95’s colors are slightly better.

i currently have the LG C7 OLED is it worth the upgrade or wait for the 55 inch
How many tvs do you have this one is crazy specs and best for video games and movies !
Does it have built-in background ambient lights?
What about the ABL. Automatic brightness limiter. Does the tv dims down after an hour or two?
