I used to use the Tamron. But eventually I realized the 4mm on the wide end and now I have the 24-70 2.8 gmaster for 2 of my cameras and the Tamron 28-75 for my C cam

I've used this lens on 99% of my professional shoots this year. Photo and video. The rubber on the focus ring is the slightest bit loose/warping now but that's after being in the 114 degree Vegas sun for five months every weekend.
I pre orderd the new version of this lense, the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (such an easy to remember name..) for my A7 III and it is ridiculously good. The new VXD autofocus is SO fast and basically 19 out of 20 shots are perfect. Definitely worth the price.
Ohhh Nice! Yeah I didn’t know there was a new version when I uploaded this video 😅 but considering the old version is really good I can only imagine how good the new one is

Yes that’s a really nice 😊 very nice lens even the canon ef mount equivalent, tamron has some decent lenses, I did have an issue with one though and sort of a green hue halo around me but that was the only one I noticed it on. Which was the 11-20mm

The Tamron is nice but I prefer the Sigma 24-70. It costs a little bit more, but image quality-wise is closer to the G-Master and that extra 4mm on the wide end makes a difference.
@@lilafromyoutube Gerald Undone has a really good comparison review on it. Which is what sold me on that lens. The one clear cut advantage the Tamron has over it is weight. The Sigma is heavier.

Looks like an awesome lens. Bought the Tamron 17-28 with my A7C last year and love it. I did end up getting their 70-300 and then picked up a nifty 50 from Sony at 1.8 for $250. I don’t make money from this hobby so no crazy Sony glass for me just yet. Enjoyed the vid.
@@lilafromyoutube I went 17 to 28 because I thought my main use would be vlogging (it isn’t so far) and so I wanted a wider angle than say a 28. But yeah it limits you in some ways. This along with the 50 give me a lot of what I need.
i'm not gonna lie, i've seen SO many sony users that do these kinda videos for the sigma 1.4 75mm and i'm glad to see there are good alternative lenses that aren't sigma or sony
@@lilafromyoutube all kidding aside this is possibly the best all around lens if you factor the versatility and price. For video it's great. The only other one I use is a 35mm prime.

Nope... love you, BUT... primes here. =P Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 55mm lenses. =) Definitely part of the prime club. More compact packages, better values... and If you need to zoom, use your feet. =) Plus the 16mm stays on my A6400 95% of the time.
It’s a great lens! The 17-28 seems great too but it’s mainly just super wide and wide, whereas this one is a little wide but also good for close ups. My English is 💯 today Edit: what I was trying to say is that I think this lens is more versatile than the 17-28 but if you get both… 👌🏻

my Lumix 20-60 kit is well enough for me, will get a macro/portrait prime (105mm Sigma Macro Art) as well though as its not perfect for those uses
I love zoom lenses like this a lot. I'm eyeing the new Nikon Z 24-120mm f4 for that very reason, a great walk around, do everything, lens.

The Tamron is nice but I prefer the Sigma 24-70. It costs a little bit more, but image quality-wise is closer to the G-Master and that extra 4mm on the wide end makes a difference.

I just got the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 as my “all in one” lens! Couldn’t recommend it enough, better quality than the Gmaster and half the price! :)
