Man, you make me wish I was at least thirty years younger & in better shape. And, of course, I didn’t live in a country where being on any bicycle makes you a target for lunatic drivers. Those machines look like fun and great transportation.

I also sweat a lot in my velomobile. When it is raining I sweat even more. It helps a little bit to install seat fans on the back of the seat like I did in part 3 of my quest lighting upgrade series that I just uploaded to my TH-cam channel. Even when I ride without a race hood I get very sweaty. I think that is normal in a velomobile. I wear shorts for working out and those don’t soak up as much sweat as regular tshirts, but I can still usually ring the sweat out of my clothes after a ride when it is raining or very warm.

I imagine you sweat more when it's raining because the increased humidity

Actually T-shirts are no good at all. Better wear a polo, the heavy cloth kind. The heavy cloth absorbs sweat and lets it evaporate.
It also prevent the clammy feeling of the T-shirt clinging to your body.
Always put up the collar to prevent from sweat running down your neck.
Installing a USB-ventilator, or even a PC-ventilator may help too.

@@_PJW_ athletic clothing technology has evolved considerably since the early 1900’s. No athlete would consider wearing such clothing now. The wicking shirts and shorts now are MUCH better at cooling and evaporating sweat than the clothing you are referring too. If I wore a polo shirt when riding I would be water logged by the end of the ride. No thanks!

This is very good, that the parts are not stainless steel, because stainless steel can break. Normal Steel gets a bit of rost, but this kind of steel is much more durable and does not break easy.

100 km is no propper test ;-) That is a daily commuter ride ;-) ;-)
This test gives you a good inside about how you sit. You need a thick open ventisit for comfort and more ventilation. Your shirts are cotton (soking up moister) or closed polyester (with closed print 'i'm a velomobilist')
With a hood on, above 5 C, I never ware any shirt. Just a short trousers and a thin towel on the sit with a lot of small holes.
My neckrest is also from Ventisit. There is a whole range of thickness and forms you can choose from. Your neckrest is for sound demping. No good.
When I'm riding in the rain (with hood on) a use a second big packtowel around my neck

I know 100 km is not long enough. I wanted to ride longer distances, but I just didn’t have time for that this summer 🤷‍♂️

I had the chance to add a Milan GT to my Alleweder 6 this summer and my verdict is: yes and no. The GT is so much fun to ride, and I am impressed by its efficiency, I had never ridden a bike "seriously", I came to cycling with the help of electric assist, and nevertheless I can do longer trips with an average of 28 to 30 km/h. However, for long trips which are not only day trips and where you need to take luggage with you, I don't find the Milan or any other fast velomobile is very suitable for long trips (maybe with the exception of the Alpha 9 or QV if this is still a fast one) - if you are not a Tetris champion. When going on trips that are more than one day, I continue to prefer my Alleweder because I can just pack SO MUCH stuff in there! I only do an average of 20 to 25 km/h with the Alleweder but that's not a problem.
I second your opinion on the seat, but I have no problem with the neck rest. My GT also came with the new Ventisit neck rest but I found that too hard and uncomfortable so I re-installed the default foam thing you also have.
In such heavy rain, I also ride with open visor because otherwise you can't see anything. In the German forum there is a thread about a new hood with a motorcycle helmet visor being planned / in development for the Milan, I hope that comes to fruition some time. My service hatch at the front is not leaking, always make sure you press it on firmly.
Are the ventisit "carpets" to put at the sides of the seat you took from your QV available as separate items?
About sweat: That is more prominent when you wear loose-fitting cotton clothes. I never wanted to but I started wearing roadbike jerseys and running tights (because they have no seat pad, unlike cycling shorts) when riding the Milan. This at least remedies the sweating a bit because these fabrics transport the sweat away from the body faster.

The floor mats are available from Velomobiel.nl. But the QV mats comes with a third one for the rear luggage space, which you don't need. Maybe ask if you could buy just the mats for the side pockets.

Yes, that would probably solve the problem. No need to open the service hatch too often, so it doesn’t matter if it’s taped. 🤔

saukki is the rock we hear in videos finn rock or from the band you play in have same problem but no foam pad headrest sweat and rain can't be changed is high humidity in a small space but venting should help or absorbed clothing body gives heat and that condensed in velomobiles is the cadence higher or lower when compared with quartro or your old
