  • Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

At 8:36 where lotus massage is, is a dead end at the end of that soi. Lotus massage, it is a rather low
-rent looking massage shop. Nothing more there...At that same corner is a really good boutique hotel called Salil Hotel . Ts affordable & does the job well for basic accommodation. Soi 11 has really changed a lot since pre Covid, in 20198 they used to have a lot more massage shops, heading back towards the BTS, and they used to call out to you. Now soi 11 is A lot more tame...

Soi 11 has really become the niteclub section of town. All the younger Thais and expats hang out on Soi 11. The large beer garden across from Wine Connection was also leveled. Plenty of new business being built

Cool Andre. It's been roasting hot. Today was actually windy and a little cooler. After this summer, I'm looking forward to the rainy season. I'm heading to Australia, NZ and Tahiti from Jun 26 to July 17. Otherwise I usually go to the Expat meet at Hangover Bar on Soi 22 at 7pm every Saturday. Stop by and have a beer. Even if I'm gone, you'll still meet some expats and locals

Wow - enjoyed all the details and personal commentary. I like the way it looks with the greenery and small soi. Is it a comfortable place to get a condo or too busy? I’ll be in Bangkok looking around in September. TIA. 🤩

Thanks for watching Bryan. I wouldn't mind living on Soi 11, but it's very busy. Soi 13 might be a better choice. I've did a bunch of Sukhumvit Soi reviews. Hopefully that will help with the search.

Great video, how long ago was it filmed? I'm sure a lot of the bars on the right are now demolished?

Thanks for watching. Yes this was about 6 weeks ago. I have videos posted and coming out everyday until July. My new hobby. I haven't been down Soi 11 in awhile. I guess they're starting that project. I heard the bars across from Wine Connection went away. Bangkok always changes. I still miss Cheap Charlie's on Soi 11. Soi 50 is good, but Soi 11 was great

Joe, great videos. Appreciate your work. What happens if you ever receive a jury summon from San Diego Superior Court or US District Court? Do you ever worried about contempt of court for failing to respond in a timely manner to a court summon?

No, my home-base today is Florida. A simple letter saying I'm out of the country should work.

On Sukhumvit Soi 4, The Dawin Hotel is classy. I stayed in January this year (2023) for a week. Perfect room, lovely cafe, professtional staff and just far enough away from Nana Plaza to be quiet, yet only 8 mins walk away from the main Sukhumvit Rd. It ticks a lot of boxes for well under 2,000 baht a night. Hope this helps.

@@padthaipaul9849 I stayed at the Dawin in 2015. Great hotel. Australian owner I believe. They also told me about a sister property in Pattaya. Not sure of the name

@@EagerExpat I think the Dawin may now be part of the hotel group that own Dynasty Inn (also on Soi 4.) And they definitely have properties in Pattaya. So much has changed and so quickly since "the pandamic".

@@padthaipaul9849 Ah, yes things change fast. I was there years ago. I just did a video walking down Soi 4. Walked past the hotel
