  • Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

    If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.

      That's always nice to hear. I met a few new people at Stella's birthday party. They told me they found that fun bar or a nice street to live on watching my small channel. That's cool to hear. I watched a lot of TH-cam before i moved over. Getting an idea of an area was helpful to me.

    Just wanted you to know that the videos don’t offend me in the least way. Non-drinker, could care less about the bars and bar life but I enjoy your walking videos, yes all of them. It is probably nice for you to have a hangout and friend like Stella and her bar. Keep the videos coming , I watch them on my exercise bike. Forget the haters.

      Thanks for the nice comment. No I could care less about a few negative comments. I just find it funny how closed minded some people are. Overall, I'm grateful to get 99% positive comments. Even if I got 50/50 negative comments, that's fine too. I'm gonna do my thing. If folks like it or hate it. I can only do the best I can. More walking videos to come. Enjoy that exercise bike. Hopefully, you come for a visit soon. Come enjoy some food with us.

      For sure man. What's your name? If you didn't know Sat is a Buddha day. Get a few beers from 7/11. I need to cool out a little tonight 3am at Stella's Wed and 4am last night. But stop by tonight if your out and about. There's always a fun group of people. Stella should get there around 8:30 or 9:00. Tell her you saw her bar on the channel. She loves that.
      I might meet another subscriber at O'Shea's on Soi 33/1 on Monday, maybe 7pm. Come join us. My Line is joefromcalifornia. Catch ya later

    Another excellent video, Joe. I just landed in BKK last night at 11pm. Will be in BKK until Tuesday morning when I fly out to Da Nang for 6 days and then Cambodia for 5 days and then back to BKK and Grande Centre Pointe T21 after that for 3 days then it's back to Silicon Valley Bay Area. Let me know if you'd like to grab some beers and lunch on me!
    I will be getting my 2 hour massages and then walking Asoke down to Em Quartier then down to Soi 55 in Thong Lo then backtrack to EmSpere to check that out for the 1st time. Thanks for all your helpful hard work and videos, man. You have offered some precious knowledge (which is power when traveling) which has saved me a lot of time doing my own lengthy personal research. Thumbs Up!

      Hey brother, welcome back to town. I'll probably have dinner at Oshea's tonight on Soi 33/1. I'm waiting on a lady. She's 50/50 if she can go out tonight. Sat and Sun I have plans. Monday I'm free. Do you have line? Shoot me a message at joefromcalifornia. Or leave a comment here otherwise. You don't have to buy me anything. Always good to meet a person that got any small use out of my little channel.
      So I'll catch you later, or maybe Monday. You should have came straight from the airport to Stella's party last night. We left at 4am. Ha ha. Hurting today. Remember that Saturday is a Buddha Day. Many bars won't open. Other will have a strange open at midnight, close at midnight. Not sure which maybe Soi 11 and Soi 13. Normal bars like Stella will just stay closed all night Sat. Plus you can't buy booze at 7/11 on a Buddha Day. Already they have the no sales from 2pm to 5pm. Then again it stops at the end of the night. Ok, catch you later.

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's an expression we use in the US. Vegas is the ultimate party. Music, neon lights, everyone is partying until 3am. So you might say this street in Miami is like the Vegas strip. Just like I said, Soi 11 is a party street. Minus the casino, it's full of action. It used to be Khao San Rd, but today, that's more for 20 year olds. Soi 11 is like Vegas today.

    Bottle service is always a ripoff

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not a nightclub guy, but just like Vegas, many of these clubs won't give you a table unless you buy a bottle. And unlike Vegas, a bottle might be $80 or $100 US. So with 6 people, that's cool. I'm still a beer guy, but if you want to play in the fancy nightclub in BKK, it's bottle service or find a place to stand. Again, that's not my scene. But, I've heard over and over from buddies, you need to buy a bottle to reserve a booth at most of these places. If the drinks are $10 each (or more) a $100 bottle isn't too bad. In Vegas that same bottle of Goose is often $350. Now that's a rip off. But, you want to sit with the NFL players, etc.. you gotta pay to play.

      A good hotel is nice. I'm usually in a moderate place if I roll solo. But with a girlfriend or wife, it's nice to have a fancy hotel once in awhile.
