1:15:05 After doing some digging, I have to say it is very odd that Nintendo DIDN'T sue over this stuff. Normally these things come out of China, which is a huge issue to sue (Chinese courts are notorious for refusing to do anything in these cases, and companies can dissolve and re-incorporate in under an hour and, in doing so, will not be held accountable for the previous incarnation's actions), but the Lexibook? It came out of France. That should have been a walk in the park to prove they stole IP and get reimbursed for it...
It's such a nightmare to set it up that it wasn't a threat to them. Vin said an hour and a half of intelligent translation of the wires
If I had a guess: unlike fan projects, Lexibook is a real company with lawyer money, and a lot of the potential infringement here is in areas that haven't ever been litigated. Given how a hell of a lot of "video game clone" lawsuits in the past that have actually gone to judgement were judged in the defendant's favour, even in cases of clear deliberate plagiarism, you cannot assume that this would be a slam-dunk case. Where fan projects very openly infringe on trademarks, these Plug-and-Plays are doing the opposite, and that makes the case much, much harder to make.
About the Candy Bear thing:
What Vinny says is completely true. It makes zero sense for Nintendo to crack down on streamers and fan projects who are usually just loving their games and advertising for them but then to say nothing about things like this and, from the looks of things, do nothing about things like this, products that are such bad ripoffs that they don't even care how obvious they are, that are designed for the specific purpose of generating profit.
Considering that quite a few bootleg and rip off consoles are from China which has extremely loose copyright laws, Nintendo won't be able to do anything to the creator but it doesn't take away the fact that they're going after streamers and fan projects is still a dick move.

I like how in the fighting game at an hour in or so the names above the healthbars are incorrect. The enemy has the name of the female character for some reason and Vinny's is called "Bertram" which was the tall guy... character... something.
Holy shit, I love all the stolen sound effects. The "uh-oh" from Bomb Superman is the same sound the Shell Gas Stations near me use to notify them when somebody is at a gas pump outside (they also use the Sonic the Hedgehog ring pickup sound at the cash register). Then there's the Sonic the Hedgehog Casino level pinball sound in Ninga Hero. I haven't watched the whole stream yet, but I'm sure there's loads more stolen/royalty free sounds that are used in other places too. Oh yeah, and the fucking *iTunes logo* from five years ago is the "Music" icon. Jesus christ.
Also, is the gem moving sound in Five Diamonds from Dark Souls? I'm just guessing, but I've been hearing that sound *somewhere* lately and I've been playing Dark Souls, so I have a hunch.

The music at around 30mins is the theme of Castle in the Sky, a Ghibli film. They simply remade the song badly in their own program.
