If I blow the belt on the rear of my 2021 general 1000xp will it disable the movement? It's like I'm in neutral. I havemt checked the belt yet, just need to know does the rear belt power the whole unit?
What does it mean when you hear a pop sound from the sheaves on the secondary when taking the old belt off? I had it compressed however when I was taking it off it felt like it didn’t want to let go of the belt and when I did get it it made a pop sound. Brand new to the genral world my first belt change on it

I just Love how the hardest part of the belt change is magically edited out of the video. I feel like I’m tearing the hell out of the belt just to get it on. Is it really this difficult and that’s why you edited it out?
Hmm, good point. The process shouldn't tear the belt, but you might hear it squeak as it slips into the sheaves. It will be tight and you'll have to work it on little by little at the tight point. Each time you you get more of the belt into the sheaves, adjust the straight section of the belt that is still on the outside. Another method is to rotate the driven clutch once the belt is started, shown in this other video. th-cam.com/video/BoZRz7feKbY/w-d-xo.html Hopefully this helps, I'll look into adding more of the belt install to this video. -Charles

Yes. If a belt has gone bad it will stop the vehicle from moving.

Thanks! We got it on, but it was a struggle. Your video def helped, just wanted to make sure we weren’t ruining anything in the process.
