My slides felt like they were on gravel. Other than that I liked it. Ended up selling it and getting the 36v Makita 7 1/2”. Much smoother but single bevel and no shadow line
Coming over from your main channel with Sabrina. Yes please for the calibration video. I have a 210mm evolution mitre saw and always have issues with cutting square. When it’s off it seems square but when I cut it never seems a true 90. How much ‘play’ do they have when you pull down the cut, can it make a difference if I’m putting pressure say towards the cut? Such a pain through my kitchen Reno project which is almost over. The next build is a 13ft wide floor to ceiling built-in tv unit with drawers and shelving and I want it to be right 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Thank you so much for subscribing! I am currently working on creating some helpful videos and will try to address your concerns. It doesn’t take much for a saw to pop out of alignment and not cut square and surprisingly out the box for some reason a lot of them are off by half a degree or more which really does make a difference!
Ive just bought one of these as i work in the uk and my current setup is 110v for my mitre saw. This means an annoying and weighty transformer. My plan is to use this for the vast majority of my work and, if it proves necesarry, ill get a Festool KS120 for the bigger finish work. Everything ive looked at ao far is super positive on this saw, hopefully it proves to be as good as everyone seems consider it to be
I’m a Milwaukee fanboy but like he said the weight is crazy. The locks engage very mechanically. The other benefit of the 7 1/4 slider is definitely blade price in comparison. Also the ability to share blades with your circ saw make multipacks of blades a smokin deal.
my 10yr old delta sliding saw makes same noise on guides.Got used to it never hindered on performance.I did oil the guides but the noise is still there.Looks like simple metal to metal contact noise.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you are never supposed to pull a sliding mitre saw towards you while making a cut. According to the manual this can cause the blade to ride up on top of the material and pull the saw towards you. It also means the blade is moving counter to the direction it’s designed to cut (unless there is some sort of blade I’m unfamiliar with, which is possible). I guess it worked out in your demo, but that’s what I read in the manual for a 7 1/4 Craftsman mitre saw. On a different note, I noticed how the Milwaukee motor is offset in a high position. This should make all standard baseboard cuts straightforward, which isn’t the case with the Craftsman. The motor of the craftsman is straight off to the side and can not do some vertical 45 degree mitre cuts without the motor running into the material before the cut is finished.
Great Video, saw looks… stunnin’! Just got into the 18v Milwaukee line up and love it, using the 7 1/4 inch circular saw but looking for something that’s more consistent, thanks for your insight!
Thank you! I would for sure look into the 7 1/4” mitre saw. It’s nice because the blades are cheaper and also work on the circular saw which is a huge perk!
I've had this saw for a couple of years. It's not the saw I planned on buying at the time, but overall, it's been a good saw for me. I'm a paint and drywall guy, so it's great for smaller molding replacement. Good saw for most exterior wood replacement as well. My rails are the same way and have been since purchased. I also think the motor on mine sounds a little clunky. Yours sounded better, at least in video lol.
there is no Calibration videos of this man online, i'm almost about to buy one for doing skirting and architrave, been searching for a video for like 3 hrs . Really want to buy, might be useful video to people :) have you done much skirting and Architrave with it , would you recomend?
I got my 3-4 year ago. Out box the cuts so bad. About 1-2 degrees off every cut. I had to adjust. The longest time I wasted was sanding the left and right miter table down so they can match the center moving table. After those fixed. Still cuts good 90 and 45… wish more quality control. Adjusting to 45 was easy. But only way to adjust the miter table was painful…
I calibrated mine well enough the problem is the fence is NOT 90 degrees to the deck…really pisses me off I can’t cut any miters vertically. Other than that it’s a solid saw with great dust collection and easy to carry
Nice video, thank you.Question for you,is your blade center on the kerf plate? The reason I ask is mine is about a 1/4 inch left of center.Blade destroyed my first plate had to make a new one.Asked milwaukee about it and I never heard back from them.
Europe versions on Milwaukee mitre saw not coming with shadow light. I have a 10” I emailed Milwaukee to buy the shadow light and the reapply was ,,EU version dose not come with, so we are not selling you” I was like 😬 mi money I want to buy and you don’t want to give me. So for EU guys watch out, if shadow light it’s a deal breaker

Seams like a nice little saw , just Not a big Milwaukee fan and its a little pricey for a 7 1/4" saw . Nice Review , keep'em comming ..... 👍🖖
It could be priced a bit lower that’s probably the biggest draw back! Thank you

That is all great points!

Keep it up bro

What was 45 deg cut length on the 1/4” ply? Thanks

Been a longtime subscriber on your other channel. I’m excited to get some more technical videos from you!
A calibration video would be great thankyou.
Yes 👍🏼 pls

Nice Crocs!
I feel like mine handles 2x material pretty well. I usually run a Diablo blade.
Maybe I am just used to the 12” corded!

Very nice review well done

Thank you! Mine is very close to centre, for sure not 1/4” out of centre!
Fantastic review - thanks!

i mainly use milwaukee but for 7 /4 miter saw i think dewalt miter saw is way better than milwaukee on my personal experience
Nice! I had a 12” Dewalt many years ago and it was a fantastic saw. Did not slide which was nice
