31.62 is for cutting crown moulding while laying flat on the deck. There’s another one on the bevel too at 33.9 so you lock out you bevel and miter on those settings and lay the crown flat to get a perfect 45 degree miter on crown
Who ever is doing the camera work and editing keep it up. Nice to see quality going into videos now a days. I liked the transition at 9:13 lol. Over all, great video guy's!
I watched this video to see what I was doing wrong because the miter wouldn’t swing. I apparently did the same thing with the bevel attachment as you. Going to fix now. Thanks!
I’ve been holding off for 3 years to get a miter saw. Everything has been circular saws. Thank you for this review. I’ll be picking one up soon, God willing.
The degrees you mentioned are for crown molding when cutting flat. Those degrees are what determines the projection /angle of the crown as it bedded on the ceiling. Only time I used it was crown that was 7 1/4”.

@Curtis Emmett Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
The 31.6 and 33 degree stops are for cutting crown molding flat. Crown comes typically in standard 45 and 38 degree installed angles. Those stops work in conjunction with the bevel gauge to give you the angles necessary to make corners and miter cuts. By the way. Each type of crown has a number and each number of crown has an available miter sheet with all the numbers necessary for cutting the angles in any instillation.
Your gonna be very happy with that Saw. Mine is a Makita, but it has all the same features as this has and I am very happy with mine. I have mine on a stand and it just works.
Obviously no comparison to my old Ryobi 10" miter saw, but still. That's definitely a 'buy once, cry once' tool. Maybe after I get a few jobs knocked out I'll get it. With so many different jobs I do, it might be a game changer! Framing, baseboard, crown, decks. It might just save some time for me. I especially like the shadow line. The laser on my Ryobi gave up ages ago, and I had a hard time seeing it in daylight, so, maybe?
i feel you, i have a sub $200 craftsman 10". got the 10 specifically so i could share blades with the table saw. i'm not a pro though, just stuff my wife wants done around the house. mine came with a laser too that i don't think i ever used. it's really not a bad saw once set up right, especially for simple stuff i do with it. no crown for me yet, lol. but yeah, that shadow line is great, should come on every saw.

They last about 60hrs of run time before housing fills with saw dust and trigger fails. Brake fails at about 1 1/2 hrs of run time. I only ever used on trim and it didn’t last as long as first blade.
I ended up buying a delta cruzer at the beginning of the summer. Very happy with it, especially the bevel lock/unlock being at the front of the saw. I do wish it had the shadow sight though
LOL I cut the fence guide 2 weeks into having the 7 1/4. I'd like to see a dust test with MDF. That 14 in crosscut is a gem for cutting 12 inch shelving.

For years we helped people out with projects they never thought could be affordable. How we did it was not being cheap, we didn't take any shortcuts or "cheats". We simply shopped around looked for good deals and told our customers for a small budget we can do the job. That was in the early 2000's. I am an HVAC technician by trade, Contractor on the weekends. 👍 Very cool review I have seen some of your projects on the channel and looks very good I learned a thing or two as well. I invested a ton of money into DeWalt the 20v and 60v line. The reason why I stopped is because I like how Milwaukee did the same thing Makita did. Which is they used one battery for ALL there tools! I didn't like how I had to bring my DeWalt 20v impacts, drills, router and sander and I had to grab my 60v saws and the batteries the whole back of my truck was filled with batteries and chargers! I worked for a company that had a contract with Milwaukee. Anything I want right out of the catalog I got (the catch is I had to pay for it) 😣 just like snap on. 31.6 on the base angle and 33.9 on the compound angle. For crown moulding cut on flat. You just need to practice, it’s a case of cutting one side crown moulding face forward with the saw left in 31.6 and then crown moulding backside with 31.6 to right. Practice on a few cuts, I might have the left and right, back and front wrong way round. It’s been ages since I did it. 👍🏻
So almost a year later, how’s your opinion of this saw held up? Looks like a solid saw. Doubtful of many issues. Guessing the weight is a large contributing factor for taking to and from the jobsite. Bu I wanna know your thoughts. Thanks Kyle!
I'm not against battery powered tools, no manufacturer has matched Bosch's design in their miter saw. It has no foot print, can't damage the slider bars. Without being there with you in your shop, it sounds a bit quieter than my Bosch and Makita are. Looking forward to seeing you use it onsite. Cheers :)
Like to know run time with the 12ah battery, 9.0ah and maybe the new 8.0ah. I know it will determine type of job but nice to know if two or three batteries per day. I bought the 7 1/4 instead of the 10 based on your recommendation. I’m happy with it and I don’t need more capacity. This 12” looks like it’s good for framing. But I’m curious to see how it holds up on trim work.
Hey kyle, what would you recommend Milwaukee 12" or the Dewalt Flex 12" I'm not sure if you have both but I have noticed both brands in your videos and just looking for your thoughts on either? thank you and keep up the great work.
@RR Buildings I have the same question. In between Milwaukee and Dewalt myself. Leaning Milwaukee but would like to hear from someone with experience with both.
31.6 Degrees Is Your Crown Molding Mitre, And 33.9 Degrees Is Your Crown Moulding Compound Miter When Laying The Crown Moulding Flat On Your Saw's Cutting Table, And Flush Against The Fence. This Is Actually Based On Perfect 90 Degrees Wall Corners. You Can Also Flip Your Crown Moulding Upside Down And Treat Your Cutting Table As If It Were Your Ceiling, And The Fence As If Were Your Wall. The True Advantage Of The Detents Is You Can Figure For Vaulted Ceilings And Walls That Aren't At True 90 Degree Angles By Both Adding And Subtracting Respectively Both The Mitre And The Compound, Depending On Wether Or Not You're Ascending Or Descending, As In A Vaulted Ceiling, Or If You're Either Doing An Inside, Or An Outside Corner. However Many Degrees You Add To, Or Subtract From The Whole Corner Past 90 Degrees, You Take That Number And Divide It By 2, And Distribute It Evenly To Each Cut, Both On The Addition, And On The Subtraction Side. You Can Only Figure These Kinds Of Cuts Out By Lying The Moulding Flat On The Saws Cutting Table, And Using The Detents As Your Point Of Reference.

What happened to the house remodeling series? We didn't get to see the end.
It ain’t done lol
Have you ever used the dewalt compound miter saw? How does it compare to the Milwaukee
What’s the best 12” Miter Dbl. Bevel?
What's the problem with the 10"?
I'm not against battery powered tools, no manufacturer has matched Bosch's design in their miter saw. It has no foot print, can't damage the slider bars. Without being there with you in your shop, it sounds a bit quieter than my Bosch and Makita are. Looking forward to seeing you use it onsite. Cheers :)
Can you adjust the rpm with OneKey? Or you can only track the tool?
I am curious about the run time of that saw on the battery
Can you adjust the rpm with OneKey?
What ear protection are you wearing? How do you like those digital earplugs?
Isotunes xtra... they are good and I do have a code to use on their website to save $10.... RRB10
How smooth is the slide action. I just got mine and noticed its really gritty not smoth like my 10" saw
Would it cut treated 8x4 Timber?
I have the 7.5 and 10", curious what you didn't like about the 10. It has terrible dust collection compared to the 7.5, but works great so far?
You have been using that metabo 12 inch still right? If so could you compare them both?
Doesn’t have crown mounding stops?
Like to know run time with the 12ah battery, 9.0ah and maybe the new 8.0ah.
I know it will determine type of job but nice to know if two or three batteries per day.
Would like to see milwaukee make a cordless 10" table saw and a new version of the 10" sliding miter saw that looks snd functions like the new 12".
Can't wait for your second review on this miter saw
Did you ever get to film a follow up after using it for a while? Would live to know if it holds up and works as well as it looks like it will
New ear buds?
Curious if you have been using this on the job since releasing this review? If so, what are your thoughts? Has this become your goto miter saw?
Can u cut metal with this saw?
I bought the 7 1/4 instead of the 10 based on your recommendation. I’m happy with it and I don’t need more capacity. This 12” looks like it’s good for framing. But I’m curious to see how it holds up on trim work.
7¼" is amazing....my 12" has a table out of calibration.
Alright!! Tool time Tuesday!!!!
