    Sadly the weight is limiting still a lot. This 2000BHP beast is slower than a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS (982 series with 493 BHP) on the Nordschleife (7.04.511 min.) and not even close to a Mercedes-AMG ONE (6.30.705 min.) or Porsche GT2 RS MR (6.38.835 min.). Basically because of the weight. When Rimac will get below 1600 / 1500kg I bet the times are going to be insane. Please don't see this as "hate"... I absolutely love Rimac and the Nevera. I'm just stunned by how much the weight seems to be holding the car back.

Personally, I want to see the Speirling do a lap, if its battery can last the distance. It's 600kg lighter than this, has 1000hp, and has a monstrous amount of downforce. Nebi loše bilo vidjeti analizu kruga od vozača jer gledam opet odvoženi krug i na masu mjesta, gdje bi Neva trebala Full gas proći on prolazi s 34/50% gasa.
    Cisto kao primjer;
    0:50sec na videu;
    Inače pravac; gas se pusta
    0:54, znam tu je skok, ok, poslije tog desnog, izlaz iz istog od 0:59, onda 1:00 kroz taj zavojnicu ide s 65% gasa, 1:01 pusta gas isto na nekih 60tak%.
    Dal je auto kroz te sekcije prebrz ili ne znam, al kroz krug svakako ovakvi detalji su vrlo vrlo zanimljivi. S ovim rečeno ne mislim ništa negativno s mojom observacijom nego takvi detalji su extremno interesantni.

And if Tesla decided to sacrifice battery longevity (like Rimac) and added one more of the same carbon sleeved motors to the Roadster (4 motor config), it will already be faster and probably lighter than Nevera. Cooling design so far is another big advantage in Tesla as they use 1 in the Plaid (octovalve and some clever solutions) while Nevera uses 5 seperated coolers and this results in 2300kg even with largest carbon monocoque in the industry and 3 million budget per car...

The 992 Porsche GT3, not the RS, had a time of 6:59.93 without the extreme aerodynamics of the RS model that is over 10 second faster than that. I guess it's just cause it's not a race car, but you can't say the base GT3 is either. They race the Porsche Cup with them because it's a road car series just without TC and ABS.

      @@carlospacheco8640Another attempt on cold conditions is enough, have you watched Formula 1? the cars lose 1-1.5 seconds worth lap time when the track temperature rises.
      Now Imagine 50C celsius melting off tires of heavy EV, it would have lost more than 5 seconds due to extreme temperatures itself.

    not bad.. but i played this video and of the 911 GT3 RS at the same time and the Porsche just absolutely blew me away! a car with 1/4 of the horsepower absolutely walked this thing on the track! the Porsche was halfway down the main straight before the Rimac even entered it lol. All that horsepower.. but it still isn't anything if you have a ton of weight or little downforce. I say its time to make a track car version! Balls to the walls on the downforce, a car of this magnitude should be chasing AMG one times, not the Beetle's great grandson! XDD

      yeah ruined me magic of this video when I watched them side by side. little bit of a one trick pony the rimac, very fast in a straight line kind of like any American muscle car, big plus of watching them side by side is the sound the porsche makes is godly. i'd still take the 911

      @@Drewbyy ID.R was a hasted VW diesel gate response) conversion of an older race car. Hardly an optimised product. Quite heavy for the modest power and battery size. Its impressive lap time came from redonculous if inefficient downforce. A more ground-up design with 919 Evo like aero and chassis would, certainly with today's tech, be a load faster. Take half the Nevera battery pack and "only" the Plaid motors, stick it all in a really tried and true race car with good groundeffect and wing game and still decent high speed low drag, perhaps from DRS like 919 Evo. I like McMurtry style vacume effect aero as it's quite an efficient way to obtain it, and it works at zero speed already. Caroussel via the outside line, but way over 120 kph :-D A truly optimized BEV for a single Nordschleife lap like that could be under 1000 kg and even have a hot swappable battery for longer races. Swap the 60 kWh out, put a 90 kWh in for a long race stint. The Plaid drivetrain doesn't need 60 KWh, let alone in such a sub 6 minute car, to do the lap. 6 minutes would make 600 kW non-stop available, but there is off-trottle and regen. 750 kW would pull much like that 919 Evo did. Less than half the Plaid weight means short braking zones and less regen heat put into the pack and motors. Shorter straights (in time) help with heat, but there would be shorter off-throttle as well, by a lot. It's a fun idea I do want to explore for spec racing, but burning fuel just works well for everything over a minute or two.
