Mild-mannered Alex shows why he deserves to be back in F1, drives like stink and even scares himself. And yet he still keeps smiling and laughing. What a driver! Would love to be a passenger with him at the wheel 🏎👌👏
i dont think its hard to scare yourself on the nordschleife even as a professional. if you go full beans and dont scare yourself, you are dead i think.
Meanwhile Liam Lawson who is beating Albon in DTM every single week has no shot on making the F1. Deserve is a dangerous word in F1 :D
Maybe that's why he should not be in the F1 ????..........Mild-Mannered ??
@@tomci9215 DTM is no benchmark of F1's skill fool
@@grasgruen84 if you don't scare yourself, you are not going fast enough
Imagine getting into a GT3RS, mashing the throttle down for the first time, and thinking "It's not that fast"
Tbh he's driven an F1 car dozens of times for hours at a time. For him it's "slow"
@@BoBo-pl3ww I've heard a lot of F1 drivers say this. Guy Martin says the same about commercially available superbikes
With no helmet lol
@@BoBo-pl3ww no way! Who coulda guess Alex Albon has been in a F1 car “dozens of times for hours at a time”. It’s almost like hes a driver for Williams 😂😂
@@A1waysSo2 Driver for Alpine you reckon? When did Alex get his French card?
the Porsche thinking he was fast, not knowing he was trying to out pace an F1 driver lmao
Lawson totally says that too. He says "he has no idea..." He doesn't finish the statement... "...that he's trying to stay ahead of a bloody Formula 1 driver."
Going by that logic, Albon would beat a GT3 driving a Suzuki Alto.
His sweating😅
Bro y'all are so dumb 🤦♂️
Well a GT4 is also not as capable as a GT3RS so that was a losing battle from the beginning lol
An 8 minute 10 lap without even trying, but with yellow flags and traffic, is bloody impressive.
Kid is so focused, and yet seems like he's on a Sunday drive.
It was cool seeing his face change from pure joy to pure concentration at certain parts.
You can't loose focus on the Nordschleife ^^
After watching these laps, we'd love to see the boys behind the wheel of a WRC car 😏
C'mon then, let's make it happen!
That would be fun
Please link me the video when it's live, that would be SI KKKKKK, please make sure he full sends it. Hell get Travis to make him 😄😄
How many Red Bulls do I need to buy to make this happen?
Do itt!
The car looks so stable when he exited a corner just the perfect amount of oversteer than full acceleration
GT3RS is sick
The way Porsche has turned the Rear-engine dynamics on it's head to allow it to have massive control in the corners while minimizing snap-oversteer is just astounding. They've used every negative of rear-engine setups and snap oversteer off throttle to makes it better than it could be without it...
And them compare it to the BMW at 3:37 xD
@@joeleonard9965 Let's be honest, the 911 is pretty much mid engine these days they have pushed it so far forward in the chassis.
@@Alfa_Addict Not even close. Take a peak from underneath. It's gotta HUGE rear bias... that lump is ALL behind the rear wheels.

Never realized how crazy Alex is!!! LOL. It's amazing how great F1 drivers driving/human sensory is. To be able to adapt to almost any car by feel and push it past the limits early on. I have no doubt that was the first time Alex hopped into that car
The F1 drivers just show how many levels they are above us .. calm collected concentration and ridiculously fast . Incredible
@@wilkowilkins363 He's not only a F1 driver - he's also a master from scratch in the Ferrari 488 DTM race car. Not a lot of (ex-)F1 drivers were really successful in their 1st year of DTM.

The look Liam gave Alex at 8:42 says about everything about what it must feel like not being in control of the car around the Nordschleife.
Everything about his body language the entire vid screams him not having confidence in Albon’s ability to not kill him here
@UnleashthePhury it's not that he doesn't have confidence its just hes used to being in control most racing drivers hate being in the passenger seat for that reason
Now I know why the Porsche Ringtaxi went full send that time! 😅
Did you get any exterior shots? 👀
4:30 love that part. the way they laughed and showed their joy for this car and the track really made me smile
Sadly they didn't notice the speed limit there, well newcomers do be like that
And he still speeding up while laughing as if they are both passengers lol
quite big slide
They're laughing because Alex was about a couple inches of track from smacking that barrier haha, big ol slide and he barely caught it in time, looked effortless though. I'm also pretty sure this is the moment Liam talked about when he said he really thought they might crash.
So happy Alex is back in F1. Hopefully Williams can return to form!
Nice GT3RS.
@SoldMom It‘s a GT3 RS
@SoldMom the headrest says GT3RS when they get out of the car at the end
@@joehayes5442 plus you can hear it

I have watched hundreds of Nordschleife videos, and this is the first and only video that helps me understand the essence of the experience.
Words cannot describe how utterly impressed I am with his driving. Absolutely incredible
Lawson pulling some serious faces 😲😂
Alex’s car control is so good and I know this was probably almost a casual drive absolutely crazy skills
Content we’ve been begging for. Albonoooooo
So awesome to see Alex get in the zone and to see him focus. It truly is like a light switch. Then he starts to laugh it’s awesome! Would love to be a passenger!
I don't know how people could hate on Alex. He seems like such a wholesome guy!
I have never seen or met anyone who hates Alex Albon. What you chattin about ?
He also knows wtf he's doing. He's a professional driver. I do not understand how ppl can ignore this. He was raised impeccably with good parents and big money, I don't understand how ppl can think the Thai part of his ancestry can equate to anything inferior. Alex Albon is a fucking boss. He will win races. I sincerely hope he wins races with Williams.
@@lesflynn4455 Good parents and big money??? His mom went to jail for six years when he was just 12 years old!
Lando is the one that grew up with big money, not Alex.
Remind me of Kubica's lap, nailing every single corner
Kub is much better.
Robert Kubica's lap was phenomenal. If I recall correctly, he destroyed the brakes and tires, and melted the rear bumper of that rental. 😉
@@drews5569 Kubica also did about 30 laps that day. He had prior sim experience, but I'd assume so does Albon
You dont see how much traffic albon has? he isnt really on a push lap not going for time.
pity there wasn't a better camera angle for Kubica's lap
This video made me change my mind about Liam. Now I genuinely hope he gets a seat as an F1 driver. I'd love to see him and Alex in one team.

4:32 The car snap Lol 😂

It wouldn't matter who drives the second seat. Just a tough gig IMO.
@@helixworld Yep, it's always been a poison chalice
Perez is apparently so bad that he was re-signed for 2022. Maybe we shouldn't trust Horner's 16 years of experience in F1 and start heeding the advice of the fans.
The front-end grip on that car looks magical. 👌
It is when the tires are warmed up. If there cold it’s a death trap at least that’s how it feels on video games

Drove a 2020 GT3 around Phillip Island a few months back. The turn in is sensational. Alex pushes the front tyres a little hard only 2 or 3 times this lap
@@frozenragu does the front end feel lighter than an FR car?
@@tofuloword2829 I wasn't pushing 100%, but no, you don't feel the 39/61 weight distribution on turn in. The front end feels stable as. Porsche engineers are magicians? Something I noticed after watching lots of Nurburgring on-boards is the fact that Liam’s head doesn’t bob around like most passengers especially under braking. His head and Alex’s are stable and looking at the same spots on track.

Between fear and joy. So pleasant to see them laugh. Great. It made me smile
What an abundance of talent, control and composure.
I guess I’m an Albon fan next year, gotta catch-up on his driving
One of the most entertaining laps ever, and so much skill. Superb video.
Awesome drive by Alex, hits all the turn in points perfect and the apexes. I have driven one of these multiple times at very high speed they are very "twitchy" due to balance and Alex keeps it amazingly smooth
This car is insane, look at that rotation and what a speed
Not bad 8 min lap with traffic. That's some skills right there 🔥🤘🏼

Just shows how elite f1 drivers are
Oh so lovely to see the boys having that fun! 😆
Fun to watch! turn in points perfect and nails every apex other than slower cars. Knows exactly how much curb to use-always helps he has won multiple races at the ring in DTM
This is 100% the BEST video I've watched all year! 😅😅
I love how much these two are enjoying themselves in this car around the ring. Great lads. Liam Lawson needs to be in F1 too!!!

Phenomenal driving and skill!! Amazing to watch
I was smiling the whole time watching this. Stoked to see Alex back in F1.
That Porsche driver was a right loose canon!
incredible skill and the way he is so clam and confident just wow
I so wish Liam would get a seat alongside Alex at Williams next year. They are such a fun pairing. Please Redbull- lend him for a year!!
9:29 Albon's hand automatically goes for the Halo. lol, He's a monster!
After seeing how much fun formula drivers have in fast road cars, how amazing would a little hatchback or estate cup/series be, maybe for charity or something. Or a rallycross event or something in the off season
I would totally watch a wagon series, (or estates as you called them back in Europe) it would be so fun to watch these large cars just sending it around race tracks
i ve been around the Norschleife, and its really great to see both guys also having that much fun. Even tho both really drove other and also much faster cars. awesome
Respect! So calm and happy driving - but fast! I tried to drive Nordschleife in Assetto Corsa VR simulator and got to admit - It's really hard!
What an art to drive a car so fast. Look at all the corrections he makes, so fast! I don't think he is pushing it as hard as he could have.
Its funny how chilled Alex was as a passenger, but how Liam is sitting himself in the second seat
What an amazing driver!
I've forgot how awesome this video is ❤
Alex just needs some confidence and reassurance, he has the skills
Loved the lap hahahahahaha Albono is such legend!!! What an incredibly talented driver with such good sensitive feel for the car, Lawson makes for a hilarious passenger ahaha
If Albon can make Lawson feel like a scared passenger like that then he must be a great driver, the lap looked fast and aggressive but controlled, now imagine how good Verstappen is.
That cold look on Alex's face when he is concentrating tells you he is an F1 driver
Now both of them will be driving at the Netherlands GP this weekend :)
GO LIAM!
We watch F1 and naturally rank the drivers. Yeah - he's doing OK, he's a bit slow, he has no hope etc. We forget that these are 20 of the very best of the very best and Albon's car control (and self control) are why he's there. Fabulous to watch and that engine note... Lordy. How I miss my beautiful 964!
Now we just need to see the lap with Alex and Lily!
BRAVO ALEX! amazing driving!
Great to watch this again given the current F1 driver situation. Would be great to see these 2 together in the same team.
F1 drivers are on this whole other level, wow
Alex can drive - thats for sure... some of those lines are amazing.
Great to see the two lads have so much fun
Its amazing how liam trusts alex, hes having fun there
4:33 that understeer scared everyone, even though noone would like to admit it
And this made me realize how much more skilled these drivers are.
He's got a very good sense of where the car should be on the track. Awesome skill. Wish I could drive like that.
Alex Albon is the epitome of the quiet professional. what a legend
The way he drives. Omg. Perfection. Every turn. Wow. Every F1 driver needs the same car and drive on this piece of beautiful tarmac again to set a time.
I know Kimi is very good here as well 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@9:48 .. just loved the way Liam touches the shade of his cap as if he's in a cabriolet and the wind might take it off !
What a great driver!
finally, thank you for the upload :)
I can feel how scary was Alex's driving through the action of Liam Lawson in the whole video... =)))
Liam and Alex would have a bromance in F1 that could rival Lando and Carlos.
An F1 drivers skill is closely evident here, especially how calm he seems, yet still focused.
How have I not seen these vids before now!!!? Like all F1 pilots I assume, AB is so good. He knows every Nords intricacy including that little bit of on-camber right next to the death curbs. Takes big plums to hit those consistently while flat out. Their contrasting emotions at 8:40 are pretty funny.
I'm not going to lie, and say I'm a fan of Albon. But I give the kid all the credit in the world for the sheer confidence he has driving.
The 27 thumbs down?
Either the passengers that shat themselves or the drivers he overtook at 60 to 100kph faster than them.
fabulous talent, so relxed doing all this
That was gold!!! A passenger turning more and more pale, a driver freaking himself out, rogue amateur drivers as massive hazards. So scary, yet so fun to watch 😁
I like how they laugh when the car let's them pass 😂😂😂
