What do you think about the #KawasakiZ900? Would you consider buying it as your first big bike? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
I do have it in the same color, it seriously puts grin on your face everytime you twist the throttle.
This is my 3rd year ownership review of Kawasaki Z900 2021.
I bought this Superbike on 3rd March 2021.
As on today the 2nd March 2024 I have completed 27300 kms.
As Japanese stands for relailibilty and refinement. This bike is no exception. Till date absolutely no issues apart from general wear and tear parts like brake pads and tyres.
What is good!
1. Good milage of 18 Kmpl overall. ( Highway 22-24).
2. Fantastic top speed of 250 kmph. (My best 222kmph)
3. Rock solid reliability no issues whatsoever.
4. Amazing heat management.
5. Fantastic pick up, wheelie machine.
6. Torque throughout the rev range.
7. Refined in line 4 engine.
What is not good!
1. Hard suspension not good for bad roads.
2. Worst rear seat comfort.
3. Average brake bite compared to superbike standards.
Maintenance and running cost of Kawasaki Z900 in 3 years. (27300 kms odo).
1. Total Fuel cost = 1516 liters = Rs 1.65 Lakh.
2. Total full 6 services cost = 1.04 Lakh.
3. 2 Pairs of Veridestian Tyres = 52k.
4. Own damage insurance for 3 years = 45k.
5. Washing detailing Amt spent in 3 years = 15k approx.
Total running and maintenance cost for 3 years
Rs 3,81,000/-
This roughly translates to 1,27,000/- per year.
Verdict
I am super satisfied with Kawasaki Z900. Very difficult to pick negatives. Its amazing value for money superbike. Fantastic all rounder, you can have Super fast Sunday rides or take it for touring without having wrist or back pain, cruise at 110kmph or rocket off to 200+ in few blinks, For 12lakh budget nothing comes close to this Japanese beauty. Very reliable. You wont let it go but may add supersport for fun beyond 250kmph, if you have sufficient vitamin M.
Vitamin M huh...deja vu moment as i have just read that line in a teamBHP thread😆
Thanks for sharing..💚
If you don't mind, how much do you earn per annum? Do you have family? How much should a person earn to maintain this beauty?
Just keep aside 12k per month for maintenance and riding the bike for 750kms per month. Unless God forbid there is a crash and u just have 3 party insurance then people get screwed. Spare parts cost 3 times more than what u get on a brand new bike.
If you are fond of traveling as much he is, 27000kms in 3yrs. Its cheap @@sarihaddu
First of all, congratulations for the new job, or rather should I say new Employer. Lovely video as always. How does the low ground clearance hold up on Mumbai roads?
And would you recommend looking at Street Triple as well to someone who is looking for a bike in this segment mainly for touring?
The way Off Editing is awesome 🤩 really appreciate it.
The presenter speaks well with great diction, well done!
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Wasn't he part of Autocar India I've seen him in a previous z900 comparo video on autocar
Nice video, well balanced. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Z900 is such a treat to ride❤❤❤❤❤.. love every second of it
I am really confused about what bike i should buy this zx6r or this z900. I like the seating position of zx6r but this has more linear power rather than screaming
Going to buy this one ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
What makes baffles me is that they still don't sell this with splash guards, our roads are trash and keeping the hot parts of the bike clean is important
What is the showroom price in Hyderabad
The bike that means what a naked Inline 4 should be after people tasted the heavy Benelli 600
Indeed. The Z900 is miles better than the Benelli 600i.
Well said sir.
Cant go wrong with the most affordable inline 4 litre class. Best sounding naked.
Was this video shot on an mobile phone?
Please bring a review for z650.
It's the most practical superbike
What about gsk s1000 ??
Nice😊
That moment at 2:48 is what makes people riders for life.
Planning for this one. If it does materialize the garage would be a 2013 Classic 350, 2021 Duke 390 and a 2026 Z900 😅
First we buy multiple bikes and car unneccesarily and then complaint about pollution and flith all over
@@sumeetghai8867 how is this relevant to my comment?
@@Shariq46 it is sir as this erratic buying is causing harm to everyone's health and overall well being. Not to forget its impact on enviroment too.
@@sumeetghai8867 love how you say his erratic buying is harming nature. Actually his erratic buying doesn't. Because weather he buys it or not the bike was already manufactured. It already created value that paid the bills for hundreds of people before he even saw it. He can't ride all of them at one time. On another note you are also polluting the earth by just existing and using up resources in a country with a population larger than China. Hes contributing to the country's economy and it's people by allowing his money to participate in the creation of and rotation of wealth that directly and indirectly contributes to the sustenance of those that are benefited. So should you be considered a pest ,since I see it like that , without ever having met you. ❤

I see Kawasaki has decided to move away from the retro styling of the previous model.
New one looks good, but the other one looked amazing. 🤩
Okay Marty 😂👍
Smiling with Exhaust sound😂, only a bike lover can understand it😎
The only con I see is that it looks cheap. There are plenty of sub 200,000 bikes that look similar.
Ducati has nailed the design for naked bikes.
Yo, the music drowns out the voice.
Black. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Go for used superbikes like Daytona 675. Zx10r zx6r
Why
Is this 2024 Model have Quickshifter ?
nope
I think..Suzuki Gsx S1000 is a great rival for z900.. I'm not sure gsx S1000 is available in India though 🤔
It is not available
Ground clearance is very low.😢
Kawasaki z900 is great but overhyped now by moto vloggers.. z900 got power inline 4 cyl engine and more power than a mt09 still 2017 mt 09 was equipped with more aids than a 2023 z900 .. and win a drag over z900 with less power and m inli83 engine but lighter in weight taking advantage of p/w ratio.. + more fun 2 ride the new mt09 2023 bumped up to +6 hp making it 119hp toral and 90+nm torque with 190 something weight and z900 got more power around 124 hp +5 hp extra but over 200kgs weight
This is the bloody problem with the internet. People with half baked knowledge start spewing specifications. Why don’t you elaborate on what all “aids” the MT gives which a pro rider “like you” cannot survive without. This stupid Indian mentality is what’s wrong with our riding community. Whether one needs or not, the thing at hand needs to have 20 features.
Vo toh chod bhai quickshifter or ride by wire jaise basic cheeze bhi nhi z900 mai…
The price of mt09 was really justified. I am telling you every bike from yamaha is always better than kawasaki across any lineup. From 150cc to 1000cc yamaha is making better bikes than kawasaki. And on top of that, they are number one in the reliability even better than Honda.
It's crazy that yamaha always been ignoring indian market with their big bikes.
The problem is Yamaha India doesn't bring it's bigger bikes in India, on the other hand Kawasaki atleast brings most of its bikes.
@@visordownn with competitive price.
Street triple 765 better anyday👀.
The reason why it sells a lot coz it's the cheapest one with over 100+ BHP....I tested one for some time, the engine was sooooo smooth which literally made it bland and charoctotles.
Charoctotles? 😏
It's not a very exciting bike to ride but it's an easy to ride bike and the best power in its class. It handily outsells the competition in India at least
@@brendonfernandes2877 ...it is a bland engine...the only reason why it out sells everything is coz it's the cheapest and most powerful you can get....
@@abymathew295Whats the definition of a bland engine? You keep using this word a lot. Should it have lots of vibes to give it 'character' as you call it?
whats wrong with the video quality
31k viewers has viewed this video but in real not more than 0.1% of viewers will buy of that Z900.
Knowledge matters,....paisa aayega to bike bhi aa jayegi😅😅
I decided that Bike As my First Super bike 😁
I like BMW f900 r in naked 💌
There was a Z1000. I don't know why it's gone.
This or the CBR650R
I appreciated your work, but almost all of Indian motorbike journalists know how to sit on the bike. 🤔
Street triple is better by miles
But price 😢
@@sreeragn.s5814 bruuhhh the difference is 3-4 laks which is not a deal breaker when u can afford a super bike
Kawasaki is like Apple.
Itne me hi kaam chal raha hai to aur extra kyu add karein. Aapna fanbase already hai market me, upar se chapri o ki to kami hai nhi. Rehne do naya features add karne ki koi jarurat nahi. Ek kaam kar sakte ho, naya colour scheme introduce karke price increase kar do.
Kawasaki is so not Apple. Apple is super expensive and uses super expensive components. Kawasaki uses much simpler components and is cheaper than the competition. You want bells and whistles you should get a Ducati but they will charge you for that.
And for your information the 2019 Z900 had a LCD display, halogen lights and no TC. The 2020 update saw new TFT display with Bluetooth, led lighting, riding modes and TC. So they did add more stuff to what is the cheapest mid capacity naked bike in the market today
Wait for the MT 09.
theyre ugly - the z9 isnt
@@DaRuler66 I had a deposit on the MT-09 2024,, changed my mind. Headlight is ugly.. Waiting for my z900 now to come in! 🤟
Anyone who does more than 20 minutes of research knows the mt09 is a better option all around
Why the z900 is the bestseller while the z900rs is a non-seller😂😂........ Kawasaki has shown us both ends of their pricing spectrum....... between the 2 siblings.....
Why do they sell it so expensive?
Bike Wale naam change kardo, bikers rkhlo
the MT09 beats it in tech but its just so damm ugly that the z900 still competes
Anything above 400 is not worth it
Interceptor 650 ka name suna hai? Aur agar tere ko lagta hai ki all bikes under 400 cc is not worth it, toh zx25r ka name suna hai?

The MT09 isn't available in India
@@brendonfernandes2877 what? Why?
@@haliltaylan6181 India is a small market (relatively speaking) for big bikes. We have most of the Kawasaki and Ducati line up but that's about it. Suzuki and Honda has just a few models for sale and Yamaha has zero big bikes just the R3 and a few commuters.

Save up some more money and buy the 2024 MT-09
