Yes, I think this underestimates how good her s2 is for new players, story stages generally have pretty low stats(so her lower dph isn’t really an issue, especially with her def ignore) and have a lot of swarm, so her aoe is pretty useful.
I feel like every R6s operator require some sort condition to utilize their gimmicky skills and play style. Like Ash require enemies to be stunned to deal full dmg, Fuze require a high tile to use his S2. It’s hard to take full advantage of their quirky kits sometime, but it also teach the players the ways to use the Ops effectively. Very well crafted.
Looking forward to having more options for the specialist voucher in IS -- Right now for me I just have Texas alt, Swire alt and Ethan built. Ela's a huge upgrade

So excited to get her. I have a team set aside for my favorite niche of Trapmasters. Dorothy Robin Ela Frost Even including Swire Alter because her S2 can be technically considered trapper style shenanigans, (Ebonholz too counts with this too!) with 2 flag vanguards to support the intense DP costs of constantly deploying so many traps, of course.
I feel like Elas casual gameplay score should be much higher Ascalons CC is less useful on non hard end content while Ela provides absurd damage potential and semi global buffs on casual content, her damage fall off is significantly less too so she works as a DPS very well.
To my own defense the bar for Daily has been raised by a lot since Wis'adel. This also has something to do with the daily contents becoming easier and easier. It gets very hard nowadays for me to give a daily rating - players have a nuclear weapon while all they have to deal with in daily is a bunch of toy soldiers. My reason for the 6 here is that I think her damage is an easy pass, but single-target is a limitation, and to achieve the damage she needs mines which, if I put it straight, is less brainless(yes that's a big part of what's left for consideration in rating daily lol), and not always sustainable. And to Ascalon's defense I'd say daily is where she's most likely to be able to kill enemies, or bundle them up for damage dealers to take care of. In daily I'd say she's the most likely laneholder who doesn't actually block.

An amazing video as always, only part i disagreed was the Suzuran comparison, her semi global fragile/slow support and ability to abide to any cycle easily while costing much less and having much faster cycles makes her more viable than Suzuran for the same role. The 9% extra fragile Suzuran brings just isnt close to sheer utility Ela brings. I think she should be a top tier candidate to build whatever you have Suzuran or not for the same role thanks to her amazing versatility.

I got Ela in my free first 10x pull. I've been very lucky in R6 Collab super limited banners so far. I got Ash 3 years ago in the same way. Rainbow 6 six Collabs has been the best banners for me.
Finally got her after 100 pulls. She literally drain my resources, now i dont have anything prepared for wisadel. But atleast i got all the crew including doc and iana. She is fun to use and work as both dps and support. Cant wait to fully build her on my base
I dont know if she is that fun though. She is so universal that it doesn't suit my playstyle. I'm still excited for her though and will have some fun! But she's a bit strong.
I'll let Ascalon spook off-banner, and if not - she is a strong contender for that pick and choose purchase pack or yellow certs, whenever those options drop if i dont have her by then... Im ok with not owning Ash, but Ela looks too good to pass on, especially with my troubles doing ending 4 in IS.
The only difference between Ela S3 and other ammo skills is that her skill says 'gains bullets' instead of 'gains ammo', a distinction she actually shares with Ash S2. It works exactly the same as other ammo skills, just like Ash S2 does.
Just to be clear, can S1 be used to effectively nullify any enemy attack or ability that does damage, regardless of its damage type? It's surprising to see it nullify the thunder damage 8:59, but I'm curious if she can also nullify the big omnidirectional breath, as well as a number of other "big" attacks like those tied to %hp loss.
From my understanding, it seems like it. As long as the source of the damage is from an enemy that Ela can target (via her mines) and isn't coming from the environment or neutral source like the londinium defense cannons. That said, it's still an RNG skill so it's usage will be very niche.
No 1 Specialist (and operator in general) in IS4 is still gonna be Doro I'm 100% confident on this, she basically hard carries on almost all non boss stages on any difficulty. Love your videos btw, amazing quality, always my immediate go to for new operators, even if I already know what they're doing lol.
They are different operators lol but if you are ranking based on usage then Degen is better thanks to her ability to deny enemies attacks and absurd burst damage

s2 seems like the "it's good for new players" skill. My account is 13 days old and I know s2 at s7 e1 will help me since I cannot afford elite 2 yet.

Yeah, the current good specialist options aren’t laneholders, so ela will be really useful for specialist starts in IS.

Pot 3 Ela is actually a realy great qol Pot, instead of just a 5% stat buff its actually a useful extra trap on deployment

Out of curiosity, does her S3 actually count as an ammo skill? Since it technically doesnt say ammo and doesnt use the normal ammo SP tracker
