ive been following you for years. u were my first utuber i ever followed. u taught me how to apply makeup, what brozer is,... and your channel has changed a lot . but i really believe you are a good honest person and i wish more people in the world were like u.
I'm about to be 50 and you are such an inspiration. You are gorgeous and no matter the makeup look you do, it always looks flawless! And your hair!! Your hair is so good like this!!
Thank you for sharing your honest opinion of the products. It’s so refreshing to see that! I’ll definitely be trying out the Jones Road products you recommended!
I love & have been using Jones Road for over 2 yrs. I'm 65 with mostly normal & dry skin especially in winter. I use WTF, miracle balm, face pencil, neutralizer pencial & powder every day. Her mascara is the best it never flakes. I also use her eye cream & balm stick cleanser. I do not use any primer or face serum/creams prior to WTF or Miracle balm. I do apply eye cream. WTF is buildable..apply a little at a time. It does not settle in any lines/ wrinkles for me.
I love Jones Road WTFoundation and the bronzy miracle balms. It all blends so well! Just ordered their newest kit with the gel eyeliner. Love it all- yes I have dry skin and it all works for me.
I recently bought the WTF and Miracle Balm, received yesterday and tried them this morning. I have dry skin on my face; however, I didn't apply moisturizer or serum before the JR products because of discussions I've heard about these products ("you don't need to use a moisturizer") etc. So I went for it on a squeeky clean dry face, WTF applied with my finger. Took me a few seconds to get the hang of it - working it across my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead. The color is a great match, but the consistency and result feels greasy. On to the MB, in dusty rose (gorgeous color) and holy cow, doesn't take much, and its is STILL tacky 3 hours later. Looking at myself in the bathroom mirror with bright lights overhead - too shiny. BUT it sort of camouflages my wrinkles and pores (I'm 74). I went back to the JR website to find a translucent powder - no luck. So I've ordered a translucent powder from A. I'll try using that next time, blotting with a fluffy brush lightly over the really shiny and tacky areas. Could end up looking like an oatmeal cookie.
I love your trick about the jones road shimmer under your foundation for luminousity. I actually put a little shimmer on my crows feet.....cuz I like to sparkle when I smile and laugh!!
I read the reviews on other sites and someone recommended Bayfree, similar to Jones Road but costs much less. I bought Bayfree multiglow in Nude Gardenia. Love it! Stays put on my normal skin, not shiny, not greasy, just a nice glow. Got it off amazon for 12.99.
Been watching your channel for years and was surprised to see that you seemed to be retrying Jones Road. 65 yo w dry skin…about to order more WTF in porcelain and use miracle balms daily…happy hour or magic hour on lids and a variety of colors on cheeks, forehead, nose bridge, chin and neck….subtle. Love it!!
Hi Kimberly! I really like the look! Even the shimmery eyeshadow 😊. I think it goes well with the dewey sort of look. That is also how I tend to do my makeup and I think it gives us older gals a little more youthful look. You have great eyebrows!! Mine are mixed with wirey grey hairs and have no tails! TY for this second review of their products. Going to try some things you mentioned as well as blending/powdering techniques you demonstrated.
I really took advantage of the Maysama discount- I purchased a red light panel and a gua sha led facial massager. I received both yesterday and I am using the gua sha massager listening to this video! 😊
I bought the small miracle balms and hated them. Contacted customer service and I’ll got was a no- can’t return. So I threw them away and will never order from jones road again. I’m sure they treated you better because of your channel. I’ve dealt with RMS, Ilia, Maelove, Alpyn (to name a few) and they have excellent customer service.
@@PrettyOverFifty That's true of Nebulyft as well. They have horrible customer service and do not respond to emails or questions on facebook or answer their toll free number. Also clever of them they don't have to honor their product warranty when they literally ignore you and then the warranty expires. There are many reviews out there that support my experience. I wanted you to know that Kimberly because I know you partner with them quite a bit. I will not be buying a Nebulyft device again.
Good informative video! Glad you circled back on the Jones Road products just for confirmation! Love the final look (beautiful) AND what you’re doing with your hair, how are you liking it? Always love your make up looks and all the great tips you share! ❤
I love the Bayfree Multi Glow Balms. They seem to perform the way I would have wanted the JR Balms to perform. Beautiful color, not sticky, but so healthy looking. You don't break the seal. You can use your fingers but I just tap a fluffy slanted blush brush into the balm and right to my face. It's so blendable and perfectly pigmented where you get beautiful color but it's fool proof. It just immediately wakes up your face and makes your skin look terrific.
Hi Kimberly, what a Great Part 2 of Jones Road Saga, at 63, my skin is normal to very dry, especially my under eyes. I’ve been “intrigued “ with the Concealer Pencil since the first time you should applying it, but I have such bad luck with High end and middle end concealers and I know it’s my application error? Heck I don’t know anymore, but anyhoo, even with dry dry skin, I just don’t see Jones Road working for me. Thank you for giving some of their products a second chance and or trying a few new ones. You look so pretty. Love your hair color. It really softens your complexion and you look younger. 😊
I’ve used Jones Road for over two years and love it. I have combination skin and it works beautifully. WTF is to be used minimally and is not for someone who wants a lot of coverage. That’s what the pencils are for. The Miracle Balms are for a glow and some have more of a color impact than others. I use their blush or a lip and cheek under the balm for more color. There’s a learning curve with the products as they are unlike most makeup. It’s helpful to go to one of their brick and mortar stores for more instruction as to how to use their products. They are also very helpful in answering questions by email and their return policy is outstanding.
I TOTALLY agree about the WTF and balms. I went to Liberty in London ( my son lives in London) and bought a whole range of product because I wanted to see it in person and the staff there was very helpful. I was super excited about these products because my friend, who has very dry skin, loved ALL of Jones Road products. Well. All I can say is YUK! I couldn’t stand how sticky the WTF was. I really wanted to like it, especially since I spent several hundred dollars on it. I’m going to try finishing powder as one suggested. 🤞🤞I do love the eyeshadow powder and the cheek stick.
I grew up using BB brand when she created it. I still love it even tho she's not part of it. I can't get behind JRoad because my 57 yo combo oily skin cant get behind the greasy concept of a lot of the products. I dont set my makeup because of my texture. Not all mature gals have dry skin! Oh and there is a big difference btwn "hydration" and "greasy" .
Personally I think you and every woman looks so much more beautiful without makeup! I do not own any and have not worn it for many years. Nonetheless I utterly adore your channel and find your vlogs so comforting. Light and love and hello from Melbourne x
Some of your observations give me such a giggle. Glad you found some peace in Jones Road. I will give that product a try. I do have dry skin so maybe it’s a nice fit.
Thank you for this update! The reason why I found you in the first place was because of you review of the miracle balm. I had just bought it and found it to be very sticky. But I thought maybe I wasn’t applying it correctly. So your review helped me to see that it just wasn’t going to work for me. Fortunately, I bought it during a time when there was a free returns so I didn’t waste my money. But one thing I was hooked on was you and your videos! I have learned so much about skin care and make up application from you as I am also 67. I am considering trying the face pencils as I’m always looking for good concealers that are for mature skin. I like the shape tape and have been playing around with the NYX concealer. I do have a problem with cream products as my skin is very textured from Acne scars. Since my hair is pretty white, one thing, I really would like help with this how to keep my makeup off my white hair! Such a problem as I’m trying not to wash my hair very often. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your part 2 - like you I’m 67 but living in Australia and I’m always looking for products that suit my look and skin as I try to age gracefully. I haven’t tried Jones Road yet but one brand that has recently started shipping to Australia is Merit and I am enjoying trying these and the way the products seem to melt into the skin and wear beautifully. I live in the north of Australia, with a tropical climate, so makeup that last through long hot days is extremely important. Another range I’ve been loving is RMS, although I only have a couple of products at this stage but I love the little tubes of eye colour and their pots of cheek colour. Thanks for your content, I think you look great and you appear to be living an active and happy lifestyle so - you go girl! 🤩🇦🇺💕
56, stopped wearing makeup for a few years as it made me look worse than natural. Love jones Road so much and have a renewed love of putting makeup on. I have combination skin.
I like the JR WTF and miracle balm but I've noticed, as winter closes in, that I don't seem to get the same coverage. It may be that without the light skin tan I may need something that provides more coverage. I also wonder if these may appeal to women in colder, drier climates (such as myself) than those in a more warm and humid climate. I can't see wearing this product on a hot, humid day.
The whole look is great. It looks very natural and luminous. In my opinion, the eyeshadow looks great. I'm more of a natural look gal, though. Again, it looks great on you.
To anyone who bought the WFH foundation and it didn't work on your face, try it on your neck & chest if you are somone who uses foundation to cover up discoloration or redness on those areas!! It never looks dry and chalky, very moisturizing.
I put the taupe Elf Fat Pencil, then the eyeshadow…i thought it was great. I like both WTF and Miracle Balm, the eyeshadow and the face pencil all work well. I’m not particularly dry, I have nice skin for 67…but do use a cream on my face after rinsing in the morning and WTF still looks good.
I have very dry skin. Love the WTF balm, but could you please put together a hydrating and moisturizing video for those of us turning into raisins out here? 😖
Thank you so much for your reviews of Jones Road and the WTF Foundation. It's so good to know. Can I ask you a question? I am 67, and I think my hair has been thinning within the past six months or so. Have you experienced any of this? If you have, could you let us know what you have done? Thank you! Love your volg!
I'm one that loves the miracle balms so I really wanna hear your first video.. I love your channel and I need to hear your thoughts on the balms! So sorry that you didn't like it.
I enjoyed this video. I decided to go with Westman Atelier makeup. Sadly, I’m getting hormonal breakouts during peri menopause and I’m so disappointed that my skin been affected, my tretinoin doesn’t seem to be enough. A sale is coming up, but I needed a concealer, and I’m very happy with Westman Atelier concealer. It totally blew me away. I’ve decided to get their foundations, supposed to be less tacky, and the serum is oily, but a drop or two will be enough for those extra dry patches. I think Jones Road concealer pencil tugs too much of the skin, and I don’t know want that on puffy eye area, and my delicate skin around the jowls. Since Jones Road isn’t as assessable, I’m not too concerned. I wouldn’t mind trying the eyebrow pencil. I loved how it looked on you, with that grey shade. Unfortunately, I thought the bronzer looked too orange on you.
I know i have seen videos saying the Just A Sec eyeshadow is a Topper as in your going out after work and you want to bump it up to a night out look. I bought 2 and havent really gotten them to work for me either but Ill keep trying. I know the Matte powder eyeshadows are said to be nice for mature eyes
I still have oily skin at 65 so stuff that is too moisturizing just doesn't work for me. I can see how Jones Road would probably work well for those with very dry skin. I also had trouble with some Bobbi Brown stuff causing breakouts on me. The BB and JR lines just aren't for me. One size doesn't fit all so I'm sure some ladies love the products.
I agree with you. Shimmer on us older gals, isn't attractive. I prefer mattes too. My glasses do the same thing. You would think they could invent some sort of pad to stop that. I agree about the balms. I am trying another line and I do not like stickiness. At first I though I was applying vaseline to my face. Ick! I love your honesty. Thanks for the update.
Kimberly, would you Please review DOLL10 Reshi Mushroom Foundation and Concealer ? I love your Honest, in depth reviews. I have the concealer and love it under my 63 very dry more mature under eyes. I also really like their Pink Treatment Powder. Very very finely milled. Also their cream bronzer. I won’t repurchase their mascara. 😅
I have an update...City Beauty lip glosses that I hated and was going to throw away, I forgot to get rid of them because I don't keep anything I do not like...welllllllll, recently I started using the clear because my lips are so chapped and OMG I now love it. How can that happen??????🤣
I have normal to dry skin and all the jones road products work for me. They are not designed for oily skin. They are designed for dry skin as Bobbi says. So many people with oily skin complain about them which is confusing. Why would you expect a product for dry skin to work on oily skin? I wouldn’t give a bad review to matte products designed for oily skin even though they look terrible on me, because they are not designed for dry skin!
Let me get this straight...............you used TWO products under your eyes and you haven't even gotten to Concealer?? Who do you think we are? Jennifer Lopez?

I love the shimmer on you! I can see it better than your normal matte. This doesn’t crease or settle on me and it lasts all day
Your skin looks wonderful always enjoy your videos thanks Kimberly ❤️
I have combination skin and I love the Miracle Balms!
Shimmer looks nice!

Me too, I just bought the lamp not the Gua Sha. Was tempted to buy the rooibos serum but it's terribly expensive for smallish amount

it seems like you don't bring the bronzer in medial to your outer eyebrow. really stays on the outside of the face. not sure i noticed that before
I like the eyeshadow b/c its not "sparkly" or even strongly shimmery. It's very nice on you and to me doesn't emphasize wrinkles at sll.
I think it makes sense that you’re an artist. I think basically that’s what makeup is.

I think you really gave it a fair shot, but sorry, I'd say it's a no. The ads say it's good for mature skin, but I'm really not seeing it.
ive been following you for years. u were my first utuber i ever followed. u taught me how to apply makeup, what brozer is,... and your channel has changed a lot . but i really believe you are a good honest person and i wish more people in the world were like u.
