I have purchased several products from Jones Road for about a year now. I love the products I have ordered so far. I’m 64 years old. I continue to work on learning how to take care of my makeup. I do not like heavy makeup. Never have. I love all Jones Road products so far.
You are remarkable. It is not often that an influencer can admit a fault and “redo” a review! Good on you!!!!! That is one of the things that makes you so likeable. ❤
I have tried most of their products, they are truly awful in my opinion. I tried them on myself, followed their tutorials...experimented on some of my clients and the products were just awful. Not good on the skin, not long wearing. Love Bobbi Brown and the original brand. But not this stuff.
I am 70 and have try skin. These products are life changing. My skin looks beautiful and my wrinkles are far less noticeable. There is a learning curve to JRB and once it is mastered..it is a huge well. I love my JRB products.
I love their products, but I agree. I think the JR foundation could have a little more coverage in it and more last longing. And the balms I love them too, but they don’t last, but for a couple hours, you have to reply them.
Lisa this was such an incredible video! I really enjoyed watching you experience these products and you gave such great information about each one. The just a sec eyeshadow in that exact color is my FAVOURITE eyeshadow. I use it weekly and it was the main eyeshadow I used when we were together in San Diego! I also love the mascara! It’s so voluminous! You’re so relaxing to watch and so positive. ❤ Love you and your content.
@@lisajmakeup I am glad that you gave it another shot! I was VERY skeptical at first about it too for the same reasons you were. This isn't a "makeup artist" brand. I would really never keep these products in my pro-kit (with the exception of the cream shadow but even then I would layer a powder over it) because there is nothing pigmented or long wearing about it but as a busy mom, I reach for these all the time in my day-to-day routine. It is a great brand for who it's good for.
When my neighbor decided to start wearing makeup, she decided to load up on Jone's Road products and then called me over to teach her how to use them all. I was really quite nervous because I have oily mature skin, and she had super dry mature skin. The complexion products simply don't work on me so I've simply avoided the brand. We spent nearly three hours playing with the products as I helped her figure out how to use them, but I can honestly say that I still wasn't terribly impressed with most of it. My favorite item was the mascara, which she hated because the brush was too big for her liking, LOL! The important thing is, she loved the JR complexion products for her dry skin, and when I told her to think of them as skincare products with a hint of healthy color, she stopped being afraid to use them. Her skin looks more hydrated and slightly flushed with healthy color now, but it definitely doesn't look like makeup on her.
I love that you shared this story, thank you! It illustrates how some products are really designed for a certain skin type, and I believe Jones Roads face products truly are great for drier skin, and those who want a very natural look.
I've reached an age (60s) and a lifestyle (retired, semi-urban) in which the full-face makeup is kind of silly and much harder to wear than it was even ten years ago. Jones Road has been a great option for me. There is a bit of a learning curve but they are fantastic products for just enhancing your natural look, like my face but better. After an age, less is definitely more and Jones Road provides what I need.
Absolutely agree with you! I’m retired and a full face of makeup now looks…..what’s a good word?.. overplayed!! It looks out of context and well, ridiculous! Also due to menopause and hormones I went from oily skin to super dry in a span of just 3 years. The Jones Road is hydrating and for minimalists.
Completely agree with you girls. I’m 62, have dry skin, and feel that natural looking makeup is best for me now. I haven’t tried Jones Road, but I think I will give it a shot. Lately, for “foundation”, I’ve been using tinted sunscreen. I like the look and it feels good on my skin. So, I think some of the JR items will be just what I like.
@@JoyfulCat24I do still use a tinted sunscreen as my base, just because I don't want to throw out what I'm using. 😅 I think you'll like the JR stuff if you're going for the "me but better" look. It IS different than usual stuff and is best used differently but it's well worth taking the time to learn. Good luck!
Miracle balm gives a bit of youth to the skin. I use it mid- day when I want a refresh instead of powder. I love the line. Appreciate you revisiting the brand.
I’ve tried several products. I purchased 2 of what the foundation. Both of my them had a gritty feeling. Had small tines like balls that did not blend out as I was told it would. After attempting to use this product several times I just couldn’t deal with whatever was in it. I’ve tried concealer pencils but they just tugged on my skin. Love the mascara.
I was very surprised that Jones Road Bronzer was not on your list of best sellers! I love it and know of many others that do as well. It always is running out of stock on Amazon. Loved the review and yes, this product line really is reliant on being warmed with the fingers then applied. Your ELF video was great as well. More please.
Thank you for revisiting this brand. I have very dry mature skin and love so many of the products. I trust your opinion and know that you are always kind and honest about how you feel about a product.
I absolutely enjoy your videos. So honest and informative. This look is actually gorgeous on you. I did purchase Jones Road a few years ago. I am currently 56 and felt like I needed a light moisturizing foundation. It is a bit sticky but I cannot take the smell of it. To me it smells like “old lady”. Idk how else to explain. And it’s such a shame cause I would otherwise use the product. But I do love the just a sec eye shadow. I would definitely try the mascara. Thank you❤
Their products are ok & the price point are not friendly at all. I’m sure there are plenty of others brand out there that perform better. This is just in my opinion. Thank you Lisa for sharing.
Thanks for revisiting this brand, Lisa. I agree with your loves from this line. Also, the lip color might not be one you normally gravitate toward, but it looks beautiful on you. I like more of a medium color, and I would definitely order that shade, especially if it leans cool.
Hello, Lisa! I came across your video because I've started buying Jones Road, and ads pop up on my account all the time. I've tried a few products, and I want to try a few more because of your video. I don't use Miracle Balm every day, but when I do, it's super moisturizing. I should use a brush like you did. It would probably apply easier that way. I feel the same way you do about mascara, and since you liked this mascara, I'll buy one and give it a try. I think Bobby Brown is targeting more mature skin with her products. My skin has gotten a lot drier as I age, so I like the feel of them.
Hi Lisa, thank you for doing this one! I have been on the fence but will now try a few of their products. Also, I love your little necklaces. Would you mind sharing where you got them? Thank you! 😀
Thank you Lisa, I love the way you explained everything and I especially love when you add in who things may work for and who may not like them. So helpful! 💙💜
Lisa, You are a ‘gem’ so upfront honest in your reviews. I always watch your videos as you are an excellent instructor. I got back into using makeup after many years of not using makeup due to JR. Now I use all types of products depending on what look I want…at age 71 mature aging skin, JR has been a great product for those no makeup makeup days. Thanks for all your videos as I have had a big learning curve on how to use makeup after all these years of going ‘au natural’!
Hi there, another great Video. What foundation do you have on in this video? It seems to work well with JR items. I had tried the Miracle Balm and did not work for me but then again maybe my foundation was not correct for this product. Thanks Lisa
Love you!! You are always so kind and informative. I have used some Jones Road products mostly in the winter because I have super dry skin and really like them … wearing them often just at work for that my skin but a little bit better look (I work in healthcare so I don’t often wear a lot of make up ) but definitely they’re not for everyone❤️ and I think it’s important to personally identify what it is. You’re looking for when you’re trying something new. Thank you for your in-depth review today and all the wonderful things you do for your channel!!!
I agree, I have severely dry skin, and I'm not a spring chicken anymore 😊. I really appreciate Jones Road's work here to have something that doesn't look fake but still makes you feel confident I enjoy everything that I have purchased so far and plan to buy more!
@@lisajmakeup That is me...Thank u for taking the time and spending the money to do this. I was just going to finally order right before your video popped up. I'm 57 yo n limited budget so this helped me so much. Take good care and stay cool in Texas, ha from chilly Seattle, ha.
I’m really struck by how beautiful the Just a Sec eyeshadow/cream is! I wouldn’t mind trying that, the mascara, and the lip formula. Thanks so much for sharing your updated thoughts on this brand, and I hope you guys had a great trip! ❤
I have stayed away from these products - but always watching the videos so decided to give them a try after your video. I have to say that overall I am impressed! I feel like here is a learning curve to using them (for me!) but overall liked the look. I felt the liner pencils tugged a lot so those may go back but I love how lightweight the other products are. Thanks for a great video!
I absolutely love Jones Road for summer makeup and days that I need a quick and easy look. I would like to try some other shades and products. Thank you for the review. Very helpful.
Those protein shakes made me lose over 100 lbs. Breakfast and lunch. My doctor approved and would do blood work regularly, my levels were always great!!! They really don't make you hungry in between "meals". 😊❤
So glad you re reviewed this in a new light. I really want to get & like these products to wear most days , at my age & lifestyle I’m feeling more minimalist yet still want to feel pretty.
Hi Lisa thanks for this review, I've been wondering about Jones! As far as eyeshadow I do like good pigment from the start to the end. Juvias place shadows I love. The coffee palette really is my favorite. Love the pasta palette as well. Thanks again Lisa
I have wtf and 2 miracle balms... flushed and magic hour. I'm 52 and my once oily skins is getting drier. I have never really been a make up wearer but I wear this foundation daily... It's tinted skincare and just evens my skin out beautifully, giving a subtle glow-up. I often use setting spray if I need it to last all day or maybe knock it back with a little bit of powder. The miracle balm, for me, goes lovely over a more matt base, flushed is definitely a blush and looks so pretty. Magic hour is a highlight, and I've used it on my shoulders and décolleté more than my face. My biggest "whinge" about it was the size of the miracle balm pots - they're huge as you need such a little amount. Love the idea of the mini pots.
I think you could make any makeup line look good. I have had no interest in this line at all and still don't since I have many products that are pretty similar. However, it is fantastic that you reviewed it again for those that are really interested and maybe those that just might change their mind or give something a try. Love your videos. They are always very informative.
Favorite products are powder bronzer. Would have loved to see you apply this with BK 102 or BK 104. Love all of their eye shadows. Even the mattes are pigmented - especially love the Ash. I love the eye and lip pencils. Love living with shimmering face oil mixed in moisturizer or base.
I have never tried Jones Road products. That said I only wear sheer products and I like a no make up look. I only wear skin tint for foundation and I feel most influencers wear too much blush. I might try Jones Road.
I bought some last night. I have been eyeing them for about a year. I am 41 and have very very dry skin. I am very excited and ready to elevate my no makeup makeup days. I still can do my full face makeup and glam days. But this lends itself to my regular face routine, beautifully.
I've been a dimestore Great Lash mascara girl since the 70s (yeah, I'm that old!), but honestly it doesn't work very well for my lashes now. Might give this mascara a try.
Just curious if you've gone outside with your hair down wearing the blush? I couldn't get my hair to stop sticking to my face, so for me, it's a no go. Do not care for how sticky it is -- felt like I put honey on my face. Has anyone else had this issue? I do love using it as a lip product, though, so there is that.
Hi Lisa! Thanks for the review. I think you were thinking of Boomstick by Cindy Joseph to be used on the eyes. I have not tried either one. I love your honest reviews!
Hi Lisa, Thanks for doing this video. I have often thought of this Brand. I’m curious if you happened to have used the foundation in this video as I don’t recall if you did or not. You didn’t tag the product below. Thanks so much.
I really appreciate this review. After watching this, I agree with you on your favorites of this video. Never felt like I would like the miracle balm and this confirmed it!
THANK YOU!!! I got like 4 face balms? And they are ok but I am not using a lot! I knew the mascara was good but I have a giant pile to get thru to reorder, I will order the eye mouse stuff! U really helped me!
My favorites are the WTF and the oil stick. I like the combination lip cheek stick, the Hippy Stick, and the rich moisturizer. I'm not super crazy about the face pencils, brow pencil, and the Miracle Balm but I do use these occasionally. I had mixed feelings about the mascara and ultimately threw it out after it got dried and clumpy (which, to be fair, happened after a few months when you are supposed to throw out mascara anyway). I really want to try the Shower fragrance but haven't ordered yet.
The miracle balm has become my favorite product to the point I skip my concealer and foundation now. I just use a face pencil around my eye corners and nose for redness and then put the balm on and my skin looks healthy and iridescent. Definitely designed for users who are looking for easy no-makeup makeup
Thank you Lisa for re reviewing some of the Jones Road Makeup products. Eyeshadows are very pretty. I don’t think I would ever be interested in most of her products except maybe the eyeshadows , mascara and lipsticks. Great Review.
I’ve been using JR since the beginning. I do not like to look like I’m wearing a lot of make up. I like the me but better look. For everyday and wear more on the eyes or a bold lip 🫦 when we go out. I love JR and Bobbi’s makeup philosophy/approach.
I love the miracle balms, the lippie stick and the mascara the best. Wasn’t a fan of the brow pencil. These are great day to day to feel put together. I def wear more Dior and Chanel on an evening out.
I love making cold brew espresso coffee and will alternate between the cinnamon bun one day and cake batter premiere protein shakes another day. I will add ice then use cold brew on my Keurig then add the whole container of protein. I will save about 1/4 cup of the premiere protein and whip it up to add on top for cold foam. Soooo good!
Could it be that you aren't old enough? As a 70 year old woman, my skin is so different than it was when I was your age. As we age, we tend to lose our natural glow and for me my skin became dryer and then my hair faded -- not really gray, but my hair seemed to fade. No spunk to the face, or glow. Never, never, never when I was your age would I have ever approached my face with somewhat of a Vaseline-feeling product, but now it drinks it up. Also, so glad that you tried setting the balm on your cheeks with the pink/peach eyeshadow? I was hoping your would. :) Thanks for re-visiting the product line. By the way, you still have that youthful natural glow which is beautiful. Please report back how the Jones Road products worked for you on holiday. God bless you.
Congratulations on revisiting your review and not being afraid to reconsider! Good on you. Aside from the fact it takes a big person and you deserve credit, it shows you understand there is a large population that likes that look in makeup. Bobbi says she creates makeup for people who like to look like they are not wearing makeup. There are many of us who either like a natural look or are in professions where heavy makeup is not acceptable. I think a lot of makeup artists and sales people tend to apply it with a heavy hand. That's fine if you work at Sephora or do red carpet. If I went to work at the hospital with 'visible from outer space' highlighter, cut crease shadow, winged liner, over-lined lips that make me look like a clown, heavy bronzer that is often improperly applied and not blended, a big stripe of 'blush blind' color on my cheeks, a ridiculous amount of shiny metallic eyeshadow applied with a spackle knife (which doesn't look good on anyone IMHO) and contour, contour contour, I would be a high risk for not being taken seriously as a professional. If you work at Sephora, that's fine, it's fun, but many influencers live in a world that excludes the rest of us. While I enjoy watching pros, and often learn a lot, I can't have a face like that, and I appreciate Bobbi's approach of less if more and the natural look wins. Thank you for highlighting this. Kudos to you!
Fabulous review and demonstrating along with comments.. I am a Nones Road User and your demonstrations helped me smooch more and Han Any other and also loved watching Glam Girl GABI, it you used more of the products for me t the berated.
This was super helpful Lisa! I’ve been very curious about Jones Road products for quite some time but the mixed reviews kept me from purchasing anything. I think I’ll give them a shot, especially that mascara! Thank you!❤
The mascara is amazing! It’s the only product from Jones Road I use and it is really great. It’s not clumping or flaky, and does not smudge. I have been using it for more than a year.
My favorite product from them is their eyebrow crayon. It’s the best shade match for me and has a longwearing waxy formula. I also have a matte dark brown eyeshadow, which I find to be very patchy & hard to blend, so I just use it as an eyeliner.
JR products seems so greasy . Not all mature women have dry skin. I have combo oily and focus on satin formula makeup because i dont like the dewy, radiant , glowy look especially when i have oily-t and avoid layering primers and powders to avoid cakiness
16:12, on camera, right at this moment, since you put peachy and build it, I feel the crease is peachy looking on you. The look you did with the trio of eyeshadows you purchased, was super pretty. You’re a pro so it shows your talent. Great idea for the pink eyeshadow on top of the blush. The lipstick colour was actually really nice on you even though is not what you reach for usually. Sometimes, a new colour is nice to use.
It all looks fabulous on you! Not surprising as you have such great bare skin to begin with. As a 58yo, I can see where these products would be good for us aging gals, but my skin is not as flawless as yours so I am not sure it is for me. I would love to get the cream eyeshadow for the color as it is beautiful. I have heard from another reviewer (Glam Girl Gabi, I think), that it did jot wear well and creased on her. But for such a pretty color, I could just tap it out, LOL! TY for your re-look at their products.
I have two of the matte eyeshadows and love them. The mascara is very nice too. I tried WTF but can’t use it. Pretty sure I’m allergic to the essential oils. I was disappointed because it looked gorgeous
I Ike JRB. I think with their products application is the key. I use WTF and the Miracle Balm. I only use non-moisturizing sunscreen under WTF. I apply the WTF with a brush similar to the JRB brush. I apply it on one side and then pat it out with my fingers. I do use powder in my t-zone to cut down a little on the shine. I know that is not what you are supposed to do, but it works for me. The WTF is light coverage but it does even out skin tone and gives a glow from within looks. I am not a fan of the face pencils. They do not last like other concealers. I find that regular concealers blend well with WTF. JRB is a good option on days that I just want my 53 year old skin to look healthy and hydrated.
I'm So Excited For You Lisa Great !!!We'll Stay Safe In (Mexico) !!! And I Hope To See You In Your Next Exciting Video !! And Send My Warmest Regrads To Your Family And Friends Bye-Bye Lisa.!!!
I really like their matte shadows. I have peachy nude and it is very peach. There is a blush called peachy which is peachy pink. The blush and eyeshadow packaging is the same.
The Miracle Balm was a pretty color on you, but I think it really looked blotchy and emphasized your pores. It looked better after you topped it with the eyeshadow, but it just wasn't the most flattering product on you IMO.
Good morning hope you had an awesome time on vacation. My husband and I have been drinking the same exact protein drink for many many years now. It is always a quick grab on the way out the door in the morning. Also we found the most reasonable and convenient place to purchase a case of it from BJs. Just a little fyi😃
The other matte shadows have more pigment. I have several in the brown and gray shade range and they are very good. They are what I reach for over most other shadows I own.
Thanks so much for such an honest review. I would like to know what foundation you have on, and also how long did the look last. This is the first review that I’ve seen that has anything positive to say about this line. I don’t believe all those five star reviews at all.
It would be so fun to have Bobbi Brown on your channel doing your makeup! Matter of fact, it would be great to have THE makeup artist of makeup artists' lines of makeup actually doing your makeup.

@@lisajmakeup That is me...Thank u for taking the time and spending the money to do this. I was just going to finally order right before your video popped up. I'm 57 yo n limited budget so this helped me so much. Take good care and stay cool in Texas, ha from chilly Seattle, ha.
LOVE the Jones Road line
This review is awesome! I personally love miracle balm its my no makeup makeup for the days I dont want anything on but still look put together
I love your honesty! You’re my holy grail content creator in the beauty space! ❤❤
My hair sticks to the miracle balm on my cheeks. I did take a tissue and blot out some of the oil and it did feel a bit better.
Those protein shakes made me lose over 100 lbs. Breakfast and lunch. My doctor approved and would do blood work regularly, my levels were always great!!! They really don't make you hungry in between "meals". 😊❤
That’s amazing!! Congratulations!!
@@lisajmakeup Thank you Lisa 😊 I still have 40 to go and can't wait to go shopping for new clothes! 😆🎉😆🎉
The Cafe Latte is my favorite.
I’ve often wondered about this product and this is just the video I needed. Thank you!
I think you could make any makeup line look good. I have had no interest in this line at all and still don't since I have many products that are pretty similar. However, it is fantastic that you reviewed it again for those that are really interested and maybe those that just might change their mind or give something a try. Love your videos. They are always very informative.
I use my Jones Road miracle bomb in Dusty Rose every single day. As a topper just to finish off my look. I love it so much.
Do you use it all over or just as blush
@@karlalaw9337I use that color almost daily and put it on my cheeks and a little across my nose. It also makes a nice contour for me
Favorite products are powder bronzer.
It seems like you are trying too hard to like these products. I’m not even going to try them.
I love this makeup brand. Finally, something for someone my age with dry skin.
I bought some last night. I have been eyeing them for about a year. I am 41 and have very very dry skin. I am very excited and ready to elevate my no makeup makeup days. I still can do my full face makeup and glam days. But this lends itself to my regular face routine, beautifully.
Omg you're breathtaking! Timeless beauty.
I've been a dimestore Great Lash mascara girl since the 70s (yeah, I'm that old!), but honestly it doesn't work very well for my lashes now. Might give this mascara a try.
What a great video! I have some of the JR products and love them all. I haven’t tried the lipstick but definitely will now.
You can apply loose powder to clean from the inside wackinessaply powder where your hair might fall so hair doesn’t stick
Is Miracle balm used in place of foundation? Helpful video.
Would you recommend shimmery products to a 62 creepy excess skin mature Hooded Eyes …
That bronze eyeshadow and mascara I might try thanks for reviewing the brand
Hi Lisa! Thanks for the review. I think you were thinking of Boomstick by Cindy Joseph to be used on the eyes. I have not tried either one. I love your honest reviews!
I love Milk Makeup mascara. It gives tons of volume.
You can apply loose powder to clean from the inside ackyness
I'd like to see your review of the Jones Road What the Foundation and how it compares and/or works with these products.
THANK YOU!!! I got like 4 face balms? And they are ok but I am not using a lot! I knew the mascara was good but I have a giant pile to get thru to reorder, I will order the eye mouse stuff! U really helped me!
It seems to maximize texture. Is that accurate?
A little off topic, but do you see the necklace she wears? Love her attitude ❤
I’ve been contemplating these products for a while. I might go purchase some after seeing your video.
I really like their face sticks. Their lipsticks are great too.
Soooo good!
So, is the miracle balm a blush? What exactly is it?
Would you please review the eye and face pencil that’s the o not product I’m having trouble with. Dark caller a puffy bags
Thank you! xoxo
Abolutely! I think it is really the face products that have such mixed opinions… maybe start with mascara or the eye products :)
My favorite product from them is their eyebrow crayon. It’s the best shade match for me and has a longwearing waxy formula. I also have a matte dark brown eyeshadow, which I find to be very patchy & hard to blend, so I just use it as an eyeliner.
Have you tried Trish Mcevoy ??
Love this video! Your hand mirror is super pretty! I didn’t know ow Nikki LA Rose made had mirrors 🪞 ❤?!
JR products seems so greasy . Not all mature women have dry skin. I have combo oily and focus on satin formula makeup because i dont like the dewy, radiant , glowy look especially when i have oily-t and avoid layering primers and powders to avoid cakiness
Bonjour Lisa, j"aime les fards à paupière "Patina shimmer" et "bronze", ils sont magnifiques😍😍😍
I have extremely dry skin, and I love their foundation!
I ordered just peace and they sent me o peachy nude which I’m returning, because t was hat I he could like!
Oh girl that lip color on you is GREAT!! You’re just used to something lighter and peachier I think but - expand your horizons! It’s beautiful!
Thank you! You are so right! We get stuck in a rut and I’ve been in my lip rut forever! :)
The other matte shadows have more pigment. I have several in the brown and gray shade range and they are very good. They are what I reach for over most other shadows I own.
Come onnnnnnn! This whole line will virtually be forgotten as soon as the influencers do their favors to Jones Road.
Thanks so much for such an honest review. I would like to know what foundation you have on, and also how long did the look last. This is the first review that I’ve seen that has anything positive to say about this line. I don’t believe all those five star reviews at all.
Believe it. There's a whole, huge Facebook group following. A cult-like following of the brand.
@@kimpyeatt2595 that’s weird, because I’ve never seen a good review on YT
I love Premier Protein shakes. I use them as coffee creamer too.
You confirmed my experience with this line-oily mature skin here 😅
The dark brown Matt shadow is e great too
Are you going to review the WTF Foundation? That is what I would most like to hear about from you.
It would be so fun to have Bobbi Brown on your channel doing your makeup! Matter of fact, it would be great to have THE makeup artist of makeup artists' lines of makeup actually doing your makeup.
True, they could describe their products, but we wouldn’t get an honest review.
