just finished doing my 2020 xl ranger. little different then some steps but looks great. Took me several hours but never doing that again. they look great. talking with the guys at the local Ford body shop and all 3 guys wanted nothing to do with it 🤣 they said these newer models are pain in the ass just to change lights or anything for that matter
Hi, I’ve just installed the led version on my ranger . It is all ok - with right side light, but the left side - leds to turn at all. DRL is working and signals on both, sequence is running fine - but no power to main LEDs. What do you think might be - problem? I don’t know where to start.
Dam those look amazing definitely gonna grab a set, I was going to buy the morimoto but I like the OE look of these. How does the low beam compare to the morimoto?
Which Rangers wouldn't have the DRL harness? wouldn't any Ranger that has the DRL function have that? For example the XLT has amber DRLs... I thought maybe the clip with the red truck and wiring harness requirement might be a XL, but it has fog lights meaning its at least an XLT? Am I missing something? thanks
If your Ranger has OEM Halogen headlights without the DRL from the factory, you will install the DRL harness! If your Ranger does have OEM LED headlights with the LED DRL, your truck comes wired for this function from the factory and will not need the extra harness! Fire away with any further Qs on these headlights: Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
@@HeadlightRevolution So my Ranger has Halogen headlights (which is why i'm ordering LEDs), but it does have the DRL option, its just the amber turn signal just stays on. You activate the DRL in the lights section from the menu. I don't think its LED, but im not sure.
I’m seeing allot of newer vehicles, including mine, using led reflector headlights, I’m not a fan. I like projectors better because of the blue hue it gives with the sharp cut off… and this is evident with all Mazda SUV’s 22 and up for example… like I’ll know it’s a Mazda because if that signature hue with their projector 65k
I have factory Halogen headlights with DRL so I believe I won't need to use the DRL harness in this situation but would I still need to use the other two headlight harnesses?
@@HeadlightRevolution Just a bit disappointed....brought units to Ford dealership to install...passenger side adjuster is broken ...showed me the plastic gear adjuster wheel just fell off when attempting to adjust...dealer didn't want to attempt to adjust drivers side
These are not in stock yet, but they are available for preorder! We are expecting to have these in around mid-November! www.headlightrevolution.com/2019-Ford-Ranger-Carbide-LED-Heads?quantity=1
Good effort, but I really expected more. I think I'll still be going with my $350 HID retrofit. Hotspot is too far below the cutoff line (optics not adjustment), and the LED headlights don't do a great job of lighting up either side.
You can adjust the hotspot with the adjustment screws located on the back of the housing. They are in the same location as OEM. We set them to the same as the OEM lights so you could see the difference in lighting.
@@HeadlightRevolution what is the way of fixing a broken adjustment screw? This seems to be very common on these headlights and also something I am dealing with at this time.
@@davibills I just installed these. I was trying to vertically adjust and the screw got to a certain point, popped, and now it just spins. I wasn't turning it with much force. :/

did you have to do the wiring harness? hows it holding up. electrical stuff makes me a little nervous.
Wow those make the ranger look so much better!👀💯
Yes they do!
Very cool but as all other replacements for Ranger these have no ECE stamp so it's illegal to use them in Europe. That's a shame.
im definitely gonna buy, but good lord thats alot to change some headlights

The Morimoto are brighter and better overall for performance but these are still much brighter than your stocks!

How do these lights compare to the morimoto xb's??
These are a more budget option, they are better than stock but not quite on the level of the XB assemblies!
At .35 sec in the video. How did you get the lights to move like that?
This feature was removed in the final version.

Mazda is also a company that tends to go above and beyond on their lighting, they've always had some great headlights.

You will need to use everything they come with! (:

The high end stock headlights are better
No, they aren't. 🙂
Why won't anyone do Colorado headlights? They have been out much longer and there are obviously way more Colorados out there than Rangers.
We've heard something is in the pipeline for them, stay tuned!

Are the low/high beam bulbs replaceable?
There are no bulbs, the headlights are nonserviceable. If you have a failure the housing would be replaced under the 5 year warranty!
